What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I would like to be an Ethics Committee Assistant due to the fact that the position will allow me to create and enhance roleplay. This is done by assisting existing roleplay created by the committee, creating my own, being in a position where I can act as a liaison to create roleplay with them as well as be able to directly work with the committee and be in the position to influence roleplay. As an ECA, I would be able to enjoy more freedom, continue playing with the friends I have made in Omega-1, whilst also being able to step back from combat.

I believe that I am a great candidate for ECA due to the fact that I have created documentation that demonstrates my administrative skills within the Department of External Affairs whilst also contributing to Ethics Committee documentation during my tenure in Omega-1. As well I have a very good understanding of the Foundation Legal Codex as an important tool for preventing the degradation of roleplay and having an in character system that helps mitigate the use of out of character warnings and ensure people think further on their actions in character.

Personally, I completely stand for, appreciate and respect the duties of the Ethics Committee. It simply works. The SCP Foundation would have crumbled without it, due to the fact The Committee in lore and in the server are a fail safe for the other side of Site Command - with this in mind I would love to branch further into my investigatory roleplay from a different standpoint that I already do in the Department Of External Affairs.

What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
One of the core responsibilities of an ECA is to suggest changes and ensure the Foundation Legal Codex is being followed by all departments at all times. The FLC is the backbone of ensuring the SCP foundation remains ethical and holds those who stray from this accountable. If the FLC is not followed, it is certain the foundation would cease to exist within a matter of days.

Acting on, and hence executing, orders given to an Assistant directly from a member of the Ethics Committee is another huge responsibility. The Ethics Committee have many things they need to do, due to them having work to do on multiple SCP Foundation Sites, therefore without Assistants to offload the work, the job is simply impossible. It is a simple fact that ECM's cannot do every job, mainly due to them needing a high profile escort when walking around the Site, as an ECA you have a lot more freedom to roam around the site with either no escort - if disguised - or a very small escort, allowing an assistant to remain low profile and act on orders presented to them.

Research is the forefront of the Foundation, ensuring the FLC is followed and tests are being conducted ethically is essential. It is our responsibility to be conducting regular checks on tests and research personnel, allowing the EC to rest easy knowing that we have no issues that could arise. This isn't just being reactive to currently unfolding situations, you must be preventative in this. Ensuring that no researcher who could be deemed unfit has the capacity to conduct a test.

When Clearance Level Four personnel break the FLC, it is an Ethics Assistants job to gather as much information as possible and to present it before the committee to have the appropriate punishment dealt out. The Ethics Committee cannot watch and look out for every CL4 FLC break, so it is the responsibility of an ECA to do this with confidence in a swift and efficient manner.

Investigating Departments and their practises are upholding the FLC is another big one, every department in the foundation is held to the FLC no matter who you are or who you work for. Whether it be General Security, Medical, Research or other, they must conform to the legal codex. Regular checks should be conducted, interviews with personnel should be taken and documents reviewed.

Class-D, whilst having the "D" designation, does not mean they are disposable. They are legally property of the foundation and must be treated ethically and humanely whilst they stay at their assigned site. They may have committed horrible crimes, but they are still under our care and we must treat them with the same Human Rights we show to all our personnel.

If there is a critical situation on site where there are either three or more SCP's breached or there is a Mass Escape of Class-D personnel, if an assistant is the highest rank available, it falls into their hands to order the approval for use of the Advanced Armoury or the Mass Termination of Class-D's.

Assistants should work as a liaison for all departments on site on behalf of the committee, meaning that all communication between departments and the ethics committee should ideally be passed through Ethics Assistants, if the Ethics Committee deem that a certain situation is important enough to step in, that is the only time department leaders should have direct contact with them.

Another responsibility is approving Clearance Level Four research testing on behalf of the committee (excluding SCP-008). An example of a test in which an Assistant is able to approve is the testing of SCP-682 "The Hard-to-destroy Reptile" (excluding termination tests). Mainly due to the fact the SCP Foundation has not found a way to terminate this SCP, meaning it is incredibly hard to re-contain if a test is not properly conducted, which is another reason Assistants should be on top of the research department and whether researchers are still fit to conduct tests.

Personnel Wing is an insanely important area of the site and it falls to the hands of Assistants to secure this area if there is an emergency in the facility. Assistants are expected to assist in getting Non-Combative personnel inside the Blast Shelter, as well as ensuring the blast doors are closed and that the Advanced Armoury remains accessible to personnel who have been granted access.

Lastly, it is critical that Assistants report any foul play/ethics violations committed by the Overseer Council or Alpha-1 directly to the Ethics Committee. They are expected to follow the FLC and to remain ethical - if they ever start to stray, the Ethics Committee need to know yesterday.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

As a note, this character already exists in a large piece of
Maeve's lore, she has allowed me to take this character and put my own lore and spin behind it, due to my position on DEA matching it, as well as I have some creative ideas myself on how to bring it to life within the server.
