Subject: Application For reassignment to Site Director

Dear members of the Site Inspectorate,

I am submitting my application for the vacant position of Site Director of Site-65. As of currently, I am a Site Manager within Site-65, and in my personal and professional opinion believe that I am the best candidate for the role due to my sheer amount of experience within Site-65 Site Administration, but also the experience in Site-120, where I was also assigned to Site Administration and at one point did serve as Site Director. I hope that you carefully consider my application for Site Director.

Kind Regards,
Harvey Bridger

Why are you applying for Site Director?

Site Director is the highest ranking member of the site, with that in mind, it would allow me to firstly help keep SA in a good position, by ensuring it is led properly; but also as SD, you are heavily responsible for ensuring that the site is performing well and that support is given to the people who need it when they need it.

As SD, you can practically do anything you want, making it a very flexible role that makes the RP possibilities for the role simply limited to your own creativity. Which is something that definitely draws me in even more about the role.

As of currently i am the most capable candidate for the role in my opinion, as the only Site Manager currently and also the longest consecutive serving member of SA. I ultimately bring a load of experience, knowledge, and also a keen eye for the department, which I want to use to make it the best it can be.

What makes you suitable for Site Director over Site Advisor?

Creativity

During my time on the site I have witnessed various styles of RP, with that in mind based on my experiences, I have created my own type of RP. I’m the biggest fan of spontaneous RP, which I have done with Class-D placements, focus groups, letting people present their projects for money, and the list goes on. With that in mind, I would say that I do make enjoyable scenarios to be involved in, which is always good.

I’m gonna add one piece of RP that I have really liked recently
Winston sitting on Harvey Bridger- So in CS, Assistant Winston sat on Harvey Bridger, and well, when Winston got off him, Harvey couldn’t move. Due to the importance of what seemed like his injury, he was taken to medbay and had firstly an x-ray then a surgery to fix what was a clean break of his back into 2 pieces. After the surgery, Harvey was very drowsy due to the anaesthesia, so he was taken around in a wheelchair by an ISD inspector(Eric Godman) and a Trainee(Phee-Phee) where he went around the site, got to see the trains, and then attended an ISD meeting before being thrown across the room by an ISD commissioner(Broda).
The RP above simply came out of a spontaneous idea.

Initiative

Sometimes you need to make decisions you aren’t very sure of, or sometimes you have to manage your resources in a efficient way, during my tenure in my various combative departments I have learned how to delegate in a small scale as well a COS but even on a large scale as an MTF LT, with that in mind I look at a new scenario maybe one that’s not like any other that I have to deal with as a challenge, and in a way a lesson of testing how I can adapt in that moment. Now I would say that’s an SD worthy quality, as you don’t want an SD that hides when a challenge comes their way.

What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?

Site Management

Site Administration ensures that the site is operating at its highest level, in regard to its technology being maintained but also by ensuring its Departments are performing their part well in keeping the site operating, whether that be medical, keeping staff healthy, or SOP protecting us from hostile GOIs. Site Admin is in charge of keeping all departments in optimal conditions, and if they are not in suitable conditions, SA is tasked with finding and addressing what is causing these not optimal conditions.

During coded emergencies, SA ensures that the site is responding accordingly and with much assistance as needed, i.e., Authing AA, ERT, and FSL when needed. Even coordinating evacuations from the site to either the surface compound or even GOC FOB.

Personnel management

Site Admin deals with applications for all departments (Excluding ISD) at the level of Director, and all MTFs (Excluding AO) at the level of Commander, deciding whether the current applicants are suitable for the role they are applying for or being considered for, and if the addition of their elevation would be beneficial for their Department/regiment. Site Admin also continues to manage these Senior Cl4 staff past their acceptance and, in cases, has to handle punishing and demoting these staff when they are not performing well or in a way that benefits their department's health or RP loop.

SCP Containment

Site 65 is a Research facility, and with that comes the fact that we have a large amount of highly dangerous SCPs. The reason for having them is to utilize them through testing, and in some case site admin authorizes specific tests that need our authorization. They can also authorise under supervision for SCPs to be passive breached with failsafes being put in place, like a lower BM, or a specific amount of E-11 being present.

Policy maintenance

Site Admin is in charge if controlling and maintaining all site policies which are in place; even in some cases, SA might have to intervene in departmental policies if they are having a negative or detrimental effect on the department's RP loop/experience.

Site Director specific

The site director is officially the highest-ranking individual on site; with that in mind, they must represent the site's best interests when acting on behalf of the site. They are the main representative of both SA and the whole site for FCOM to reach out to when discussing matters of importance and sensitivity. The director also has the duty of deciding who their managers are. In many cases, during the director's absence, the site managers are representing the site or managing the site advisors, and with that in mind, it is crucial for their managers to be confident, competent, and knowledgeable so that they can respond to any situation that is handed their way.

Character lore

For the most case my lore is just a standard piece of lore. However, if you were to look at my last entry, my character has an unfortunate past which led to him being demoted and reassigned from his previous site. I want to make this in a way part of my character, one way I intend on doing this is by getting a GM or ET member to once In awhile review my progress, the hope is that it could generate some unique RP based of my lore that SA could be involved in, if maybe I need to have a close eye on me maybe even ISD could be involved, and the list of possibilities only continue from there.

Harvey has proven to be an effective mediator, someone who can assess situations and change their mind when warranted. I would say these are some of the most important qualities that a Site Director should have. Harvey has also got the most experience and in that time has made a greatly positive impact to the site. There really is no other candidate that can come close to being more qualified for the position.

Good luck man and I can’t imagine you wouldn’t get the role.

At the current time, I do not see anyone else succeeding me in the position of the Site Director. I have known Harvey for a very long time and they were one of the most professional and helpful people during my stay in the Site Administration.

If you fix the things I have mentioned to you in DMs, you will be even better SD than I was. And if not, you will still be extremely good fit for the position.

I'll let people here to some insider info, during my last few days as the SD I have left most, if not all of the duties of a site director to Harvey and he was spectacular at them.

Just for the love of all that is holy, try to fix your yapping issue!
