Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:212394851
Discord name: mura_5124
For how long have you played on CG SCP: Too long man Too long (9-10 Months now)
Age: 23
In what country are you located?: UK
Time zone: GMT
Character name(s): Heinrich (ECA), Rosswell (Sr Doctor), Steele (A-1 CPT), Nexus (O-1 CPL), (few others i won't be naming cause thats a long AHH list)
Civilian name: David Berger
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-UK
Do you have a mic?: YES
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: A-1(former CPT "Steele"), O-1(former CPL "Nexus"), Nu-7(Old LCPL) & E-11 (Old PVT)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: -Fail RP for not listening to MTF e-11 as a researcher. A kick because I was stuck in a death loop. Fear RP because I didn't listen to CI whilst a gun was pointed at me (I think). Finally ARDM because I stabbed a few d-classes as a tech expert.

What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:

I am writing to apply for the Ethics Committee member position. I applied for this position because it is the next step for one of my characters but also because I have seen, in a way, what it is to be an ethics member. From my experience as an ethics assistant, though I've only recently returned to the role, I've experienced some of the work that the ECMs have done. I've been considering applying for a while now, and with some positive feedback from others I've decided to go for it. At the very least, I am looking to try and apply, and even if I don't get the role, I will still be an active member of the server. I had limited experience as an ethics member before the reset, but I learned valuable lessons from my mistakes. Having been on the server for a while, I feel that over the past few weeks, I have gained enough confidence to start speaking in voice chat again. Overall, the reason I'm doing it is to see if I can obtain the role and hopefully make up for the mistakes I made as an event ECM.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
-Now I will say that out of the other contenders for the same position, I would be the best choice. Based on my real-life experiences, I have learned how to effectively collaborate and communicate with others. I'm a very open-minded person, and I'm someone who'll take feedback to heart so I can improve on what I can do. I've read Tanhony's proposal according to the useful reading guide. I must admit that it has filled in some of the gaps in my understanding. I've also been reading the guide created by Yeke, so I know what is expected of the role as well as how to portray it. Most of my experience as a CL4 member of the site was as a JR CL4, but I did have a long period of time where I was a CPT of A1. Though being an A1 CPT is the opposite of ethical, from my experience as an ECA, I believe being a committee member is a bit easier to wrap my head around. The character I feel is the best fit for the committee is Heinrich, as I tend to take him more seriously than my other characters. Although I have recently started playing a more goofy character named Roswell, his demeanor can change depending on the mood. I believe I would be well-suited for the role because I know how to conduct myself and how to react in stressful situations.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
To start off, the Ethics Committee ensures that the actions of the Overseer's Council are acceptable and align with the code of ethics. However, due to the "longest lie," the committee has to keep a facade of looking like a joke. However, if and when enough evidence is gathered against the council, the committee will vote on the matter and then alert both Resh-1 and the Office of the Administrator that primary action will take place where the current council members are killed and then replaced with people that the committee deems fit for taking the roles left behind. The committee's true purpose lies in such actions, but it also has other outlined responsibilities. Other responsibilities of the committee are as follows.

They ensure that everyone obeys the FLC, be it through Omega-1 operatives acting as their proxies or even going out themselves under the disguise of Sr. Clearance Level 4 staff. They also work closely with ISD to ensure compliance with the FLC, in addition to Omega-1. Things that they would do to ensure compliance would be investigating departments if it were a department as a whole that was not abiding by the FLC. However, committee members are to be impartial and indifferent when it comes to certain situations. The members must have a "cold, not cruel" type of personality, as they are to act as judges in tribunals. That being said, they are to organize as well as take part as judges within them because they're the highest form of government (when it comes to the FLC) within the foundation.

In addition to that, they are responsible for creating orders for both ethics assistants and Omega-1 operatives as well as coming up with joint orders alongside ISD in collaboration with thier Department directors. Their sub-duties for the members include overseeing the progress of OMega-1, being the liaison for ISD, and managing the ethics assistants. The committee should only step in to help a department if its current leadership is neglecting it.

As well as making sure that the staff are being treated under the code of ethics, it doesn't just end there; it extends to the foundation's resources, such as the D-class as well as SCPs. As per the D-class housing document, the committee is to be sure that all the needs of D-class are met (some being 3 meals a day, livable quarters, and mental stimulation, as well as being rewarded for good behavior, to name a few). Making sure that foundation staff are not using degrading terms for D-class, for example, saying that the "D" means "disposable." The committee also makes sure no one is abusing anomalous entities for self-gain.

However, being a CL5 member of the foundation, they can allow advanced armory to combat breaches if they get out of control. Additionally, they can call in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to assist in suppressing the breach; however, if all else fails and the ERT fails multiple times, they have the authority to set off the nuke.

Overall the list of responsibilities goes on. There could be other responsibilities I may have failed to mention, but that doesn't mean I cannot learn any more.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
Those who hold the committee roles out of character decide on a multitude of positions within the foundation. They can vote on the next DoISD, voice any concerns they have about the applicants, and discuss their positive attributes. Similarly, they also evaluate candidates for the ethnic member role, but with greater depth. Members of the committee also decide who should receive the commander position within Omega-1. However, it isn't just roles that they are in charge of out of character; they are to have great communication with members of SSL to ensure that the proper conduct OOC as well as IC is kept civil. as well as that they are to make sure that no one in their regiment/ Assistants' roles are causing issues. OOC issues can include improper conduct or document griefing. They should also ensure that all current documents remain up-to-date and align with the committee's beliefs in RP. But most importantly of all, it's keeping server health stable, making sure SSL sign off of big changes as well as Listening to criticism and improving on those said Criticisms.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Foundation File: Heinrich van der Meyer.exe

Anomalous Act: Heinrich being an advocate for Anomalous Right within the foundation i belive he would do small campaigns to advocate to normalise them, This would bring in RSD's Anorep Involvement aswell as placing up Posters that would encourge anomalous staff to get themselves Registered for the sites safety and for thier own safety. This would mainly focus anomalous staff aswell as those who don't belive Anomalous staff should work as it would get almost the entire site invloved.

Blood and Bone: Craving the certainty of flesh again Heinrich, with the involvement of RSD and Medical would attempt to recreate his body either through Synthetic means or an attempt to stabalise Immortal Flesh. This would be a multi-stage RP story line where Each step he gets closer to his goal he'd focus more on rushing the process just so he'd be able to breath again, It's up to Either O1, The Assistant or even members of the Project to help him calm down and let them safely go through their calculations before rushing to conclusions.

Family Tree: Having been reminded of his family once gain Heinrich decides to employ the aid of Medical aswell as DEA in finding his decendents. This would be either a one off or a multitude of events where Heinrich would go on a quest to find out if A he has any surviving family members and B if they are Employed at the foundation. If the latter then he'd Request a personal meeting with them but in Ethics Comittee Fashion.

Heinrich has GREAT RP from what I have seen from my time on O-1 (when speaking to them as CPT 'Steele', O-1 'Nexus' and Heinrich) and Commissioner when speaking to them as Rosswell. They have unbelieveable PAC3 useage and i've had great experiences with them overall/had absolutely zero issues leading to funny moments too.

I wish you the best of luck!

Do you have any general plans for Omega-1?
My current plans for O1 are to create engaging orders for them. I'd also actively work alongside the CO team to discuss possible RP scenarios and brainstorm ways to keep O1 engagement flowing. I plan to organize mini-events or investigation trainings that will help with those points I mentioned. But most importantly, it would be speaking with the CO team and other members about addressing problems within O1 and ways to tackle them together.

TL;DR: I'll talk with the current CO team and spitball possible ideas with them. Then I would hope to lessen any of thier problems alongside the CO team and Comittee Members.

These are the plans that most ethics members say and don't deliver on once they get in. I hope you do deliver on them.

You have a solid knowledge of EC and are a good RP'er, but I haven't seen you create RP that gets large groups of people involved, I also haven't seen you show any managerial skills. I'd personally recommend Sr. CL4 experience as a department lead or SA. You're a very good roleplayer and I did enjoy having you around as an ECA and interacting with your 'Steele' character when I was ECM, however ECM is a big jump from what I believe is a dual assistant role you are holding at the moment.

+/- Neutral

Best of luck as you are a genuinely lovely bloke!

Thank you Clank, I do intend to follow up on my word. I appricate your Neutral standing.

What makes you different from all the others who have promised this in the past and not followed up?

Unlike those who may have lied only for the position i'm an honest person. I've been a very forward person, I can even think of times of when i can do these talks. They could be during the CO meeting (If enough time is happenining) or even after it if people are free. But for now i can only solemnly promise.
