These changes would align the Internal Affairs personnel with their non-combative nature and give it some elegance. I also even have an IC document if you wish to RP the implementation of these changes through some bureaucracyRP.

Same loadout selection options as we currently have; of course, instead of actual changes to the loadout, there will be options for changing the service pistol. Removal of submachine guns so that sidearms become the primary arms of Internal Affairs personnel. The shotgun is there to add a little bit of spice to the ambassador and director's loadouts so that they do not feel naked with just a pistol. Also, the reason the shotgun is reserved for the ambassadors and directors is because of the behaviors developed by the directors and ambassadors not to rush into combat like utter cannon fodder.

- Ambassadors having shotguns is worse than our smg due to the fact shotguns can (very easily) hurt bystanders. It will also make the department feel weaker as we would be unable to at a minimum match the threat that the people we are detaining can pose towards us.
- Was an AI written suggestion as with previous versions of it. The inclusion of statements about ergonomics proves this more as this isnt a consideration for a game.
- No consideration or consultation of the US IA department to my knowledge
- Would massively hinder the department’s ability to perform actions such as controlling an area since they would only have sidearms.
- There are better solutions to agents who run into combat rather lowering the effectiveness of IA
- Situations requiring force will not always give you time to call for assistance or go get a weapon from the nearest armoury.

Whilst what I am about to say is FearRP and staff should deal with it, no one reports this.
When I played as Internal Affairs from Agent through to Director it was clear that people do not see a pistol as a deadly/lethal weapon thst can out them under FearRP. So by removing the SMGs you basically remove the primary weapon used to get someone under FearRP.

Replacing it with a shotgun for Ambassadors and Dpt. Directors makes no sense. The higher up you go, the less combative you become (except from MTFs and GSD). So by giving a weapon such as the shotgun you suggested makes no sense.

Furthermore, you want to remove the SMGs as their firepower is unnecessarily high for arrests however you wish to replace it with a higher fire power weapon?

Linking back to the first point FearRP sits requires video evidence to show what happened in the situation and prove the person was under FearRP. That or obtaining a confession (very rare).
Also staff are not everywhere, we cannot spectate every single situation 24/7.
