Why are you applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador?
- Because I think I am a good fit for the IA ambassador role. I find myself helping out other agents with things such as documents and what legal codex violation would go under the suspect if they aren't sure. I also take criticism, whether from documents or others, to ensure that I play the role more efficiently. I believe I could also make an impact on IA by joining the ambassador team.
What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:
- I'm quite active on IA and have spent a good amount of time on it. I've helped out multiple agents during my time, such as helping them out with documents and reasonable arrest times. I also plan to train new agents to perform IA duties or host training exercises from time to time. I also give out reasonable arrest times for those who do break the FLC. (E.x: giving 5 minutes for misuse 2, and only giving more time for more serious LC violations such as murder and treason.)
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:I have written around 15+ documents. What makes a document good is:
- Follow a template (The one in the agents office for example)
- Write it in google docs to spot any spelling mistakes to make sure it looks professional.
- Add paragraphs.
- Have a title, description, and conclusion.
- Put it into a grammar checker to make sure it looks professional.
- Prioritize Quality over quantity.
- Add details such as when it happened and where.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?: IA ambassadors are senior agents of IA which means not only do they enforce the legal codex, but they also help out each other or other agents. They may also train new agents so they can perform IA duties. They are also a role that agents look up to, so they must also be professional at all times.
-Please give some lore about your Internal Affairs Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Jaccob Coltman was born on February 2nd, 1999. He grew up in a small town and had a normal childhood. It was always his life goal to play his role in society, with his life's goal of being a police officer or similar. Growing up, he had an interest in combat, so he applied to work at a nearby medium-security prison. He was accepted into the job as a security guard and learned how to handle a gun and control riots effectively. He was happy with his job since he had finally started playing a role in society. However, one day, while he was in the break room, two heavily armed men barged into the break room with no warning and aimed their guns at him. They immediately started taking his weapons, radios, communications, and any possible tracking devices. They both took him to a van with the word ‘SCP’ written on it and told him to get in. He soon found himself in a room with a simple chair and desk. A man walked in wearing GenSec uniform and explained to Jaccob that he was handpicked to be recruited to a place named 'Site-65' into the 'GenSec' department and that he would be escorting researchers using prisoners, now known as 'Class-D personnel' as labrats to assist in tests. He agreed to the offer; however, before he could even start his first shift, a containment breach had happened, and Jaccob was exposed to his first anomalies. It was at this moment that Jaccob developed great interest in the anomalies contained within Site 65. Weeks later, he had grown interested in an MTF team named 'Epsilon-11' that claimed to recontain anomalies in the unlikely event that a containment breach ever occurred. He applied for a position in E-11 and attended a tryout for the regiment, where he passed and joined Epsilon-11 as an operative, and moved onto a containment specialist shortly after. However, he encountered a problem: the conduct of many people around him was poor, and it was starting to annoy him. He wanted to do something about it. He wanted to play a role in the foundation just as he wanted to play a role in society. He took great interest in the department of internal affairs. He could arrest the bad and enforce the good. He attended lectures about it, and soon enough, he joined one of their numbers. He found satisfaction in finally seeing personnel do their part for the foundation instead of messing around.
