The most recent one was because of stacked warns, I said "double cuff" in character hence breaking my streak.
The prior is a dark past I use as motivation to continue improving.
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I've been around for a good while now and have amassed quite a lot of experience in different departments, regiments and roles. I started off as a sort of a rebel in the early days of my employment into the Foundation and have since grown and continue to show effort into improving myself and bettering my mindset. I am dedicated and loyal to our mission statement. Throughout my tenure within the Internal Security Department I have gotten closer to the Ethics Committee and their operations, whether through tribunals or ethical questions I have been around the ethics assistants for a good while and believe I have gotten familiar with their operations and duties. I believe my experiences leave me as a pretty decent candidate, as someone who is actively flipping the script on their behaviour I have been on both sides of the coin and hence can resonate with a wider array of Foundation Staff. I seem to find myself gravitating towards administrative paperwork employment rather than on the field combative hence why the request for reassignment, furthermore I often find myself enjoying helping others when I can and I believe this role is one that comes with a lot of helping others in need whether through booking tribunals or assisting my superiors; I think I am ready to embark on this adventure.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
(A)
As described by a committee member during an interview, they function as an extension of the Committee therefore enhancing it's capacity and ensuring it's day-to-day work is smooth and efficient.
(B)
They serve as a middleman between Foundation staff and the committee as often times there will requests to bring things up to the committee without an actual following of the Chain of Command hence resulting in a overflow of work for the committee which could be handled by others. The assistants can therefore take care of some of it themselves or help the committee by booking times for meetings with the Foundation staff and bringing necessary or alarming situations to their attention
(C)
They are often in places where a Committee member would be but cannot for reasons, they cooperate at times with IE and ISD as observers and report anything of interest to the committee. They are to make sure info breaches are reported to IE and assist the enforcement team with information.
(D)
They ensure that things occuring on site are ethical and that any ethical concerns are answered. They are to report unethical practice by higher ups to the committee.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Thomas was a bright researcher for Prometheus Labs, Inc.
During his work on the PSAT Setanta he was responsible for the updating and maintaining of trajectory calculations for the satellite. He had gotten the job around 8 years after the launch of the satellite. On a sunday evening Thomas was woken up by a phone call to his personal cellphone. Everyone at Prometheus Labs Astrotechnologies department was at the office in panic mode, the satellite had gone rogue.
Thomas quickly got dressed and drove to the lab only to see that he had misscalculated the meteor rings diameter, such a mundane calculation...
Thomas went home that night while his colleagues went off to a local bar to cope consume a large amount of alcohol. He failed to sleep that night and kept thinking about it, at 3AM he rose from his bed and checked his laptop, he re-did all the calculations and discovered that he indeed had not misscalculated anything... This lead to him believing that someone had tampered with the instruments at the Promoetheus Labs HQ to show Thomas false data that didn't match up with the actual satellites surroundings.
That night a knock was heard on his door, he opened the door and his room was stormed by 5 █████-1 operatives.

Thomas: Who are you?! Why are you at my house and WHY do you need these weapons here??
Operative 1: Put these on
[A sort of cloth can be audibly heard given to Thomas]
Thomas: What?? No. I won't until you explain yourself.
Operative 2: Well, we asked nicely the first time; no?
[A thud can be heard]

Thomas was transported to Site-██ and employed by the Foundation.
5 years later..
Thomas found out that the ones behind the tampering were from Site-██. Thomas reached out through secure channels to one of his friends from Site-██ that had been reassigned to Site-65's General Security Department. His friend within the GSD contacted Site-65's Ethics Committee and was owed a favor.. A few strings were pulled and Thomas was reassigned to Site-65 as an Assistant to the Ethics Committee.

Hellooo, Thank you for reading my application, I hope the lore part was okay it's my 2nd time creating lore for a character
I just wanted to adress some things that may be interesting for fellow players to know.
I went into CN/CG not really focusing on a future within it, I was annoying and kind of mingy. Recently though I have gotten attached to the RP and the community and have since avoided any OOC issues possible, I got a streak of a month and a half no issues but then I slipped up and said "double cuffing" ahaha, I'm sorry for that still. I am with the help of patient members of this community improving, thanks to kind SL I am getting a better feel for the rules.
I have had a dreadful reputation and sometimes do have my slip ups, I am on a daily basis learning new things and becoming slightly better than the day before. I enjoy the roleplay a lot and often times find myself wishing the GM's storylines wouldn't end XD
I hope that if I am granted the benefit of the doubt and allowed into this position that I can use it as a way to prove myself to the community and show that I have imrpoved and get my foot in the CL4 world.
