What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:
As the Chief of Security i have experience in a senior position that requires leadership skills and the ability to manage a larger number of people, so good communication is necessary. At the same time, I am a good combatant and tactician - not only from my experience as CI-BCOM, but also from other MTF regiments - recently I joined the B-1 and interacted a lot with the UNGOC, so I already have a vague idea of what is going on. I have also read a lot about the UNGOC lore and understand it well. In my experience as a CI-BCOM, I really did not like how low the rp standard was in CI (which is also why I left). I would also say that I am a pretty good diplomat and negotiator. I am looking forward to joining the UNGOC and am very hopeful about what is to come. I am also very active on the server, usually more than 2 hours a day. I have no problem with writing documents, lore or any other in character materials, however it takes me slightly longer than other players, since English is not my native language.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
Because it is something completely different from what we have had up until now and I really like the idea of the UNGOC as a whole. It is something very unique in the SCP universe and I think UNGOC has a lot of potential on the server. I like the fact that it has a high standard of RP and that is one of the main reasons why i want to be involved and I think I have a lot to offer. With the introduction of the mayor job, the RP in Pinewood is really taking shape and UNGOC will be very important in that sense (civilians need the protection of the UNGOC or the CI will abuse them as it has been doing). To put it shortly, I like the UNGOC as it stands in the lore - for example the incident with SCP-1609.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
The Global Occult Coalition was founded after the events of World War 2 / The Seventh Occult war - it consists of 108 various powerful, anomalous / occult organisations, who banded together in order to prevent other rogue and dangerous organisations (such as the Ahnenerbe Obskurakorps) from gaining power. These organisations also wanted more control over what was happening in the occult community. It was founded mainly in order to ensure humanity's survival, to ensure the existence of anomalies is kept secret from the general population and to protect individual lives and liquidate parathreats - refer to the Fivefold mission.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
PHYSICS Division: The GOC's main action force, similar to the Unated Nations Peacekeeping Forces or the Foundation's Mobile Task Forces. Tasked with observation and capture / neutralization of parathreats. They consist of:
- Assessment Teams: Tasked with observing and investigating parathreats, gathering data and intelligence. Often deployed for response levels 2 and 3. Usually not deployed for response level 4 situations - only in case of an emergency. Example of equipment: Mk. 3 Infiltration Skinsuit, OCULUS enhanced vision system
- Strike Teams: Tasked with capture or elimination of parathreats. Usually deployed for response levels 3, 4, 5 and 6. Only deployed for response level 3 situations in case of an emergency.

PSYCHE Division: The GOC's main diplomatic force. Tasked with keeping in touch with the paranormal / anomalous community and ensuring peace is maintained between occult powers and humanity. They consist of:
- Special Observers: Tasked with identifying possible parathreats via observing scientific, archeological and other investigations.
- Ambassadors: Tasked with maintaining diplomatic contacts with other non-hostile occult powers.
PTOLEMY Division: The GOC's main support force. Tasked with supporting the PHYSICS and PSYCHE divisions and ensuing smooth operation of the organisation is maintained. They consist of:
- Quartermasters: Tasked with management of logistics and support. They handle everything from weapons and armor distribution to
coordinating food and supply management in GOC facilities.
- Research and Development (R&D): In charge of researching new technologies and directing funds / manpower to the 108 membering organisations.
What Are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
The GOC's goals can be very well sumarized by the Fivefold Mission. The GOC's logo itself makes it clear that this is it's main mission, as it is embedded into it.
The Fivefold Mission consist of, in order of importance:
First Mission - Survival: The GOC must protect humanity from any threats at all costs. This mission is the most important and takes priority over the other missions.
Second Mission - Concealment: The GOC has to keep the existence of parathreats a secret from the general public, in order to avoid mass panic. This mission is shared with the SCP Foundation.
Third Mission - Protection: The GOC always tries to protect individual humans, both civilians and it's operatives, whenever possible - as long as it does not go against the two previous statements.
Fourth Mission - Destruction: The GOC wants to eliminate any and all parathreats, as their existence itself could potentially be a risk to humanity's survival.
Fifth Mission - Education: The GOC wants to gather data and expand their knowledge on the paranormal, in order to better fulfill the first four missions. This also must not go against the previous statements.
Please explain The Seventh Occult War:
The Sevent Occult War is an event parallel to World War 2. It was fought by the Allied Occult Initiative (one of the members of the current GOC) and Ahnenerbe Obskurakorps (occult branch of the nazi regime) over the "Rite of Solomon" (later labeled SCP-3457) which was an ancient occult ritual, which, if completed, would change the nature of thaumaturgy / magic and distribute supernatural powers amongst humanity. The Obskurakorps hoped that they could change magic in a way that only Germans / Hitler's supporters could use it, making them the true "supreme race". To perform this ritual, they needed to find 7 keys - they found only 6, the 7th one got away inside of a golem and they were unable to recover it. As a result of the 7th key going missing, the ritual could not be completed. However, the Obskurakorps created their own 9 new keys which could be used to complete the ritual. However, the leader of the Obskurakorps, Weiss, was captured and gave away intel on how the ritual worked and other important information. As a result of this, the ritual was stopped and the Obskurakorps defeated, ending the war.
After this, the UNGOC was founded to prevent a similar event from ever reocurring.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
They have a completely different take on SCPs (or parathreats as they call them) - instead of preserving, using, learning or experimenting with them, they want to destroy every single one, no matter how friendly or useful it is. This approach is unique in the SCP Universe and if you were to ask me, i personally think it is the correct one. The chair incident (SCP-1609) which is often used as a reason why the UNGOC are "the bad guys" is actually a good argument as to why all SCPs / parathreats should be liquidated. A seemingly harmless chair became extremely deadly because they put it into a woodchipper. "they didn't need to liquidate it, it was harmless" no, they did not, but as it stands, the chair turned from a safe class anomaly into a euclid class. Many other seemingly safe anomalies could be potentially world ending threats if not liquidated / disposed of.
The GOC is also one of the 4 major players on the world stage - having influence all over the world of the SCP universe - the other 3 being the Foundation, the Chaos Insurgency and the Serpent's Hand.

Biographical Information:
Jerma Avaritia. Born in New Mexico to a Czech mother and an American father. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy and joined the US Navy as an officer. He was assigned to a carrier flagship that one day encountered an anomaly and was transported to an alternate reality, from which he was rescued by SCP Foundation personnel after an extended period of time. After lengthy interrogations, he was offered a job in the security department of Site-[REDACTED] in the UK - months had passed since the original disappearance of the flagship and everyone on it had been declared dead, and the Foundation could not afford any data leaks about the flagship. He reluctantly accepted the job offer.

After 6 years of service as a regular security guard on Site-[REDACTED], he has risen through the ranks and achieved the position of General Security Chief. Another 5 years have passed and Jerma was not really sure what he was fighting for anymore. He has seen many of his colleagues lose his lifes to SCPs that breached containment, but could have been disposed of one way or another after they were first aprehended. But at what cost? What was the greater goal? He just couldn't figure it out. Realizing this, he has contacted the UNGOC and deserted from the foundation. He deserted to fight for what he thought was right.
Jerma joined the GOC as a member of an assessment team situated in the southern part of the United States. He was given the codename 'Veldt', as whenever he had the chance, he would just keep talking about how uncultivated grasslands of southern Africa were the best place to visit, ever. He would never elaborate on why. His colleagues quickly found out that he had a strong sense of duty and justice, and had no problems working with him.
