Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
I am applying for ISD Inspector because I believe I have the necessary dedication and skills to further the department's efforts to become a better version of itself. I want to help sort out the good apples from the bad within ISD, making sure that a department with as much power to improve the joy of playing on the server and ruin it remains working smoothly for everyone’s benefit. I have also had a blast in ISD, having met many great people and many great moments and I would like to continue not only being a part of those great moments but also create great moments for others.
-
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
I believe I handle cases with the professionalism needed of a CL4 member of ISD staff, having both the ability to shut down stupidity and also not go on a powertrip to arrest everyone when there is room for a simple warning. I enjoy helping teach others and guide people into the ISD department, and I’m not afraid to admit when I do not know something and would rather ask someone else. I lead through example, and I have a well of patience to draw from when it comes to handling and training new operatives and agents, with an eye for separating genuine mistakes from someone who clearly doesn’t belong in the department
-
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
An ideal Inspector is both a leader and a follower. As JR CL4 they are expected to both lead the lower ranks of ISD whilst also following the commands of those higher in the COC. An ideal inspector is fair in their dealings, balancing the reaction to a situation based on its severity rather than going in with an iron fist at all times, but still have the ability should it be required. An ideal inspector also sees FLC violations for what they are, not something to just be processed but an avenue for interesting RP for both parties if handled correctly. They should be approachable by lower ranked staff in the department so they feel comfortable asking questions if they are unsure and be able to give feedback in a way that doesn’t feel condescending, whilst also be stern enough to know when disciplinary actions are needed.

How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?
Beyond filling out arrest reports and incident reports I have not had the honour as of yet, but I hope that through this role more natural opportunities for crafting such documents will appear. Since most of my time has been spent in ISD and writing documents that I'd label "major" is usually above operatives and investigators. I am always happy to assist and learn on the job when it comes to such matters.
-
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
Train new ISD agents by onboarding them when they arrive, giving them the proper training to conduct themselves as expected whilst also keeping an eye on them and guiding them even after the induction to iron out or identify any problems early on. Oversee operations alongside the rest of ISD leadership, making sure that the department knows what goals it is striving for at all times. Lead on the ground investigations alongside agents and operatives, showing through example how a good ISD agent conducts themselves and giving out clear and concise orders so those who might be unsure know what they should be doing. Should there be no higher ranking staff within ISD on site, inspectors are also expected to lead those on site and be the fallback for all agents, operatives and investigators if they have questions or requests.
-
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
Leading through example, and taking my role seriously whilst remaining approachable has always been how I have wished to conduct myself, something I think is a virtue within the leadership in ISD. I have the continued dedication to teach others whilst still being open to learning ever more as I go. I have a good grasp on the FLC and the expectations of how ISD are expected to handle themselves so I possess the skill to pass that on to new agents and operatives.
