What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition: I have done extensive research into the Global Occult Coalition, which has led me to apply and see if I can join. I would want to join on the basis that I agree with the precedent set by the GOC and the overall goals that they wish to achieve, saying this, I would like to not only make it through the general combat ranks but potentially become a strike team leader at some point or even go as far as ambassador and exercise my good communication and planning skills in order to complete operations to a exceptional quality. I have good, reasonable and effective leadership skills and have used them in many situations throughout my time. I understand teamwork and what makes a team rather than just bullying people to do what I say. I am specifically interested in leading officially, I was told by my previous supervisor in Alpha-1 that if I had stayed, I would have gotten to a supervisory position, although I do well as a loyal member to whatever faction I am in, I do believe that it’s about time that I stayed in a specific faction for a while so that I can really climb the ladder.

Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?: I have a specific interest in surface jobs, but have felt limited for a long time. When UNGOC turned up, it felt refreshing to have another group of interest on the surface that I not only know a lot of lore about already, but have an inherent aspiration to do the role that UNGOC plays in the SCP universe. For a long time I have felt that the server needed more GOIs besides Chaos; so much so that I suggested to an admin that they add Church of the Broken god, Serpent's hand and even said about GOC to Kenji while I was in Alpha-1. I have an enjoyment for the military style operations as well as I have a liking for uniformity and moving as a Unit to complete tasks; I also like being a part of an “exclusive position” hence why I originally pursued Alpha-1 and achieved a position within my first two weeks in the site. I don’t only have a liking for the lore, uniform, military style teamwork and unique group aspect of GOC, a lot of my ambition to join stems from the objective UNGOC has and the interesting relationship it has with other GOIs and the foundation. I also like the 40k type aesthetic that UNGOC has, and the futuristic, humanity protecting, GOI that has a dense history that is not only with GOIs but has a direct link to the un-abnormal side of the universe which is interesting and immersive for me. I generally believe that I will be very suited to the position and will enjoy joining for operations and potentially leading a strike team at some point.

Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?: The GOC was founded by the United Nations and the Council of the 108 which was devised of 108 paranormal-based organizations which have the joint objective to ensure the safety of the human race as well as 4 other main goals, listed under the “Fivefold Mission”. The GOC has this objective as a result of the Seventh Occult War. The GOC was established for this purpose rather then other GOIs because the Foundation has autonomy and The Church of The Broken God, Serpent's hand etc, have no interest in uniting, they have an already established and inherent objective which conflicts with GOC and none of the world governments want to take responsibility of the human race’s survival and the burden of making sure that all paranormal entities or “Threat-Entities” are under close supervision or are destroyed. Each entity has a class which is different to the foundation due to the different objective of the GOC, these classes are: KTE - Known Threat Entities which have been clearly identified by the GOC, UTE - Unknown Threat Entities which the GOC know that exist but don’t really know what they are, PTE - Potential Threat Entities which are anomalies that have a potential to pose a threat but currently do not, LTE - Liquidated Threat Entities which have been successfully destroyed or lost all anomalous properties.

What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:

PHYSICS:
This is the action division of the GOC. Essentially the PHYSICS division is the main source of the GOCs groundwork and are the ones that carry out operations that directly have contact with anomalies or explicitly show GOCs involvement with an anomaly or GOI.

PSYCHE: This is the diplomatic division of the GOC. This division focuses on diplomacy with anomalies or GOIs that they either cannot kill, or believe that allowing them to live would be more beneficial to the GOCs end goal.

PTOLEMY: This is the support division of the GOC. PTOLEMY was created for the purpose of research, observation, equipment development, logistics and general management of the GOC.

What Are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?: The main goal of the GOC is called The Fivefold Mission, the missions under that umbrella term is to maintain the survival [1. Survival] of the human race from SCPs, GOIs and any paranormal or threat-entities, and allow the human race to live ignorant of the existence of anything ab-normal [2. Concealment]. To protect the operatives that work for the GOC and unrelated civilians whenever possible [3. Protect]. To destroy anomalies whenever possible, because the GOC believes that even the possibility of humanity coming under threat by an anomaly, threat-entity or parathreat is not an option [4. Destruction]. The final main goal is education [5. Education], once the GOC can confirm that the human race is unaware of threat-entities and ab-normal beings entities and events, and the human race is completely protected to the best of the GOCs ability, then the GOC strives to expand their knowledge on threats, events and even individuals that may prove significant at some point during the existence of the GOC. There are sub-goals that the GOC are bound to complete during its time of existence, killing God is one of them. They have this as a goal due to the council of 108 having The United Church of Satan Science Division, a part of them, and another sub-goal is ‘prepare for ragnarok’, this is a great battle which will feature all the world's para-threats as well as UTEs and natural disasters all at once, it is generally unknown when it will happen but the GOC believe that they can survive it, so long as they can figure a plan on how to.

Please explain The Seventh Occult War: During WW2 the Nazi SS Ahnenerbe {the operational think tank for Germany from 1935 - 1945} and the Thule-Gesselschaft {German scientific study group established established shortly after WW1}, attempted to complete a ritual called the “Rite of Solomon” {later known as SCP-3457} which was believed to give supernatural power, which could have shifted the tides of WW2 if used correctly. This was the first time that world leaders knew the potential danger that paranormal and supernatural entities could cause if in the wrong hands. The SCP foundation existed but they still had autonomy, and none of the world governments wanted to take the responsibility of being the protector of the human race; so the united nations decided they needed their own organization that was completely accountable to them and them alone, in order to protect themselves from “parathreats”, so the Allied Occult Initiative was founded (Original name of the Global Occult Coalition). The GOC was founded as the umbrella term for the council of 108 which was made up by occult organizations, priests and different paranormal organizations after the Seventh Occult War, all with the same goal, to protect humanity from parathreats and threat-entities. All 108 groups unite under the Global Occult Coalition’s “Fivefold Mission” as well as a few other sub-goals that were made by members of the council of 108.

What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?: The UNGOC has a unique military or governmental style theme and objective, second only to world governments. This makes it unique because it is the only GOI that has full governmental backing and can share an official name in their faction’s title (United Nations). UNGOC having an official position connected to the outside world and government makes the purpose more powerful and also gives more moral purpose to the group, which a lot of GOIs in the SCP universe do not have. The one main thing that makes UNGOC unique is the explicit objective to protect the human race, this is very different to most other factions, as generally other GOIs have their own agendas that only increase their power or knowledge. But the GOC has many collective objectives that mostly prioritize protection and survival over all, in my opinion making it one of, if not the most ethical group or morally grounded group in the SCP universe.

“I was there” says John Foley to the doctor, “I was there when it happened, that thing, my research partner..”

[4 days earlier]

Rain hits the window of the Pave Low helicopter as the researchers head into the jungle. “What do you think it will look like?..” Everyone sat silently as Richard stared at the other researchers waiting for a response, “don’t worry about that, just focus on collecting evidence and leaving” John says while looking through pictures of the research site. “Sorry, this is my first time.. leaving the base” Richard said quietly to John, “You're one of those new researchers from D.C?” John replies, Richard looks around and sees other Researchers grinning “Yeah, I’ve been waiting to get out for a while” Richard replies. John nods his head and looks out the window, he could see faint water droplets with a backdrop of darkness and occasional thunder. The Pave Low approaches what looks like an old Samoan temple, dimly lit by lamps and research tents.

Low talking could be heard from the cockpit and the pilots were saying vehicle call signs “Alpha 2 1 preparing for landing, designation blue night jango” a static voice would reply through the headset “*static* your cl- r your clear for landin- 2- 1 *static*”

The helicopter gently landed around a kilometer from the research site ‘dark hole’. United States rangers would slowly start loading off equipment from the Pave Low and onto the Humvees. “Get in ladies” a marine would shout from the dark green camo Humvee. All the researchers would get into separate Humvees, cluttering of cases and crates into the trunks of the humvees could be heard as they started the engines. John would look outside the window, seeing other researchers from that FOB getting into other Humvees behind.

*t-t-t-VMMM* The Humvee ignition was turned and the convoy started heading to the research site. As the convoy is driving, Richard (sitting next to John in the back of the Humvee) says “Did you sign that agreement as well?” John replies reluctantly “of course, who wouldn’t, newbie” Richard looks away, frustrated at John, and starts reviewing the site notes.

[2003 - 2006]

John starts to get memories of his time in Iraq during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.*flashback* “15 Clicks north of here is an Iraqi airstrip, there are two Iraqi generals that intel said are hiding at north Kantiq airstrip.. You john have been assigned as sniper and your battle buddy can be your spotter, I want you to take out those Iraqi sons of bitches fast before they can relay troops to our position.. Is that understood? Sergeant” exclaims 5th Battalion Commander Higgins “Yes Sir” John says before he salutes and leaves with Connor. John and his battle buddy Connor, cross the desert in the direction of the airstrip in a Humvee, passing through burning oil fields that rain black tar like oil on the windscreen. Thick and sticky; their equipment covered with tarp, preventing oil jamming the weapons.

They arrived, after around 20 minutes of driving in a Humvee they found an abandoned control room on the outskirts of the airstrip. John walks into the small control room, stepping on broken glass that cracks under his boots with Connor behind him. A big paned window overlooked the airstrip, with a perfect view of the central control tower. The airstrip was covered with debris from bombing and looked mostly abandoned, flames ingulfed the sky, making the sunlight dim.

John started setting up the bipod on his sniper rifle through the window pane, Connor began calibrating his rangefinder binoculars and calculating the wind speed. They sat in the control room for around an hour, “wait.. wait I see someone in the control room” Connor said quietly. A man with a red beret on and green combat uniform came up the stairs into the completely visible control tower, talking to another person who followed him up the stairs wearing a similar uniform. Both were accompanied by what looked like Iraqi national guard.

“Hold on.. Range?” John said, “300 meters” Connor replied, “wind speed?” John said, “15 miles per hour sir” Connor replied. John calibrated his sniper and looked through the scope. A fuel container could be seen at the bottom of the stairs of the central control tower. John aimed towards it, *chi-KARR* the rifle fired, the bullet penetrates the fuel drum igniting it, causing a chain reaction and exploding the central control tower, *eeee-RRR* the control tower tilted then collapsed, metal cables breaking as it fell down *ting- ting- ting*. The control tower collapsed into a ball of flames, *BANG* concrete and metal parts flew into the air, one hot piece of metal flying through the large pane window and flying past John’s head. “Ooorah!” both of them shouted as it exploded.

[2010]

“John.. John!” Richard said, “what is it?!” John angrily replied, “we’re here..” the Humvees pulled up beside the research tents, with the storm still heavily raining on the vehicles. Crackling rain can be heard landing on the research tents as equipment is offloaded and personnel leave the Humvees. John looks upon the research site, rain showers on the mossy stone bricks that make up the Samoan Pyramid, the research tent appears to be the only entrance into the “dark hole” site, John and his newly found research assistant Richard head into the tent. They walk through the air tight plastic flap door and go into the decontamination unit.

*Tssssssss* The decontamination unit sprays both of them as they step through, placing on full body hazmat suits and collecting geiger counters and satchels with empty plastic seal bags in them. They head through a second set of airtight flap doors into the Pyramid. Cold and hollow, that was what the inside was like, at least the entrance. Water dripped through the cracks in the ceiling, filling up puddles on the damp stone floor. The room would be dimly lit by the occasional lantern and light blue glow sticks. “Finally I’ve been waiting for you.. John, is it?” says a researcher in a hazmat suit, “Yeah, that's me, and here's my assistant.. Richard” says John in a muffled voice transmitter built into the hazmat suit. “Yes that's right.. Can I see your identification before we progress.. Can’t be too sure now” says the researcher. John and Richard would go to pull out their Unusual Incidents Unit identifications. John’s one would read ‘Name: John Foley - Position: Unusual Incident Unit Supervisor’ and Richard’s would read ‘Name: Richard Nyland - Position: Unusual Incident Unit Operative’. The researcher would look in awe, “Right this way.. We have been waiting a while for you two to arrive.” the researcher explains before leading them further down into the Pyramid.

They would walk down some damp steps for around 3 minutes through what looked like hallways and doorways that had either been dug or blown open with explosives, with debris in corners, clearing the way for a footpath. Engravings would be on the wall, with what looked like creatures being treated like gods “What are these engravings on the walls?” John would ask, “My team thinks they may be some sort of god that the Samoans prayed to in these temples or something.. Whatever went on down here.. Someone didn’t want us to know about it.” the researcher said. They would arrive at a wooden door with a table and lamp outside of it, the table was illuminated by blue light from a lamp, it had what looked like notes, plans and evidence found on the site. The researcher would look for the keys to the door amongst the evidence they found. Richard picks up one of the evidence bags, his rubber hazmat gloves would squeak as he took a skull out of the bag. The skull would be covered in dry blood with one of the eyes still in it. “This looks recent.. It takes the human eye around 5 days to decompose.” Richard would say in a worried voice. The researcher briefly looked at it and then pulled a key from one of the bags, “This is the one” the researcher would say before handing it to John. The key was rusty and silver with slightly visible blood dots on the handle, there would be a snake carved into the key. “I’ll leave you two, I need to attend to duties up top, there is a radio in the desk drawer.. Let me know when you guys are finished.” The researcher would say before heading back up the stairs; John gives a nod before turning towards the door.

John would open the drawer and take the radio and an M9 pistol out and close the drawer, holstering the pistol on his hip and placing the radio on a slot on his hazmat suit. He would take out the key, grabbing a glow stick and hand flare before entering the door. He turns the lock, *mm- mm* a vibration would come from the door hinge before almost automatically opening. They would enter, and the door would close behind them. The hallway would be dimly lit by a hole in the ceiling letting in the moonlight. *distant noise* John and Richard would face towards a slightly opened door at the end of the hallway, John would withdraw his pistol and Richard would follow behind him. They sneaked to the door, staying in the shadows. John looked through the door and saw a large room with five men standing around a circle that was placed against the wall. It was dripping with blood and had noticeable organs and other human parts beneath it. The men were chanting what sounds like a spell while sacrificing what looks like a screaming soldier. “Please please! No.. noo.. I have kids please..” the soldier said in a scared voice. *earth rumbling* dust and loose bricks fell from the ceiling like something landed on the surface, worried that they would get spotted, John and Richard hid in the darkness away from the door entrance. The hooded men would be angrily disputing with each other and looking around. A separate hallway on the other side had a door that was closed that activity was happening behind.

*Zzzzzz t- t- BOOM* A thermal charge would blow open the door and entering through the blast hole would be men armed with advanced assault rifles and high-tech armor with a noticeable blue helmet with a star insignia. The hooded men turned to the circle that they were facing before, finishing their chant and opening a portal. Glowing blue, the portal spat out blood and a huge mangled hand with claws reached from out of it. The hooded men grabbed their weapons and before they could react to the intruders, gas filled the room. One of the men called into his radio “Strike team 2 reporting Moreau! I repeat.. Strike team 2 has contact with Moreau!” heavy weaponry would be fired both ways, all of the hooded men were eviscerated by the gunfire and the blue helmet men stormed the room. “Moreau Neutralised, potential threat-entity..” says one of the units.

A squad of highly equipped soldiers flooded into the room, the portal grew wider as something was attempting to crawl through. “Control, we have a possible type black! Need assistance” one the men shouted into his radio. As more troops came into the room from the other entrance, John attempted to use his radio *b- beep* John goes to radio what is happening and the door they are hiding behind is kicked down with brute force, pushing them across the room. Dazed, John looks around to get his bearings again, his visor would be cracked and chest hurting; he looks to Richard and Richard grabs the M9 and attempts to shoot the Soldier, he raises the gun and the soldier fires at him with a shotgun, vaporizing his head instantly painting the floor vertically with blood. John raises his hands in the air and tries to get up but is bleeding, the soldier has squinted eyes like he is grinning, a chunk of red hot metal in John’s leg. The soldier uses a wound freezing spray on it and picks up John.

As John is carried he looks into the big room and there lays the arm and head of a huge humanoid creature on the floor, surrounded by scientists and soldiers that he didn’t recognise in high-tech hazmat uniforms and heavy combat chassis, taking samples. He is carried through the hole in the wall that they originally breached and leaves the temple, there are 2 Chinooks outside on the grass painted black. One takes off and the other, John is placed into and on a bed in the helicopter. John falls asleep.

“I was there” says John Foley to the doctor, “I was there when it happened, that thing, my research partner..” says John in a scared tone. “It’s going to be alright, we’ve fixed your leg and you had a minor rib fracture from some impact you took while out there.. Other than that, the commander wants to meet you, you might have just got yourself a job recruit.” the doctor said before leaving the room. John would pick up his document by the side of his bed, it would have all his details and at the bottom it would read “Note: This one has potential, don’t amnesticate.”
