Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community:
Yes, I had previously lead an Event Team for an old Gmod Police RP server. While these events tended to not be directly intertwined with long form roleplay, they were elaborate scenarios that did require planning and coordination to adapt to the participants. It was mostly making fun mini games and scenarios.

This experience helped me develop a strong foundation for the way events should flow, how to get players to engage with them and how to improvise should things not go to plan. It also gave me a solid start with building in Gmod that I have further developed since.

Do you have any advanced skills that would benefit the GM team, such as PAC-3, dupes building, art creation and others? If yes, give us your best example of putting that skill into practice:
I do feel I can bring a mix of technical and creative skills to the GM team:

- PAC3 [Developing]: I am always actively trying to learn and improve with PAC3, with a big focus so far in characters. Through making the textures and being able to model and rework assets, its naturally helped with the learning process.

- 3D Modelling & Asset Work: I have solid experience with 3D modelling, with a strong external portfolio. I regularly use Blender, the Adobe Suite, and have experience with Crowbar.

- Graphic Design: I have made a large amount of visual assets during my time in the server, from posters, signage, boards etc that are still in use. I have always loved doing them as I like to convey all the on-site info stylistically.

Below is a collage of four sections showing my previous work of posters & boards, character textures, 3d assets, and graphics-

Please list one RP Enhancement for a Foundation Department/MTF:
"The Janitor's Revenge"

'Site Administration announces the delivery of a new experimental automated maintenance unit designed to increase operational efficiency across the facility. The unit is a humanoid robotic system capable of performing the duties of all E&TS personnel.
Site Administration claims the system will:
- Improve site cleanliness & maintenance.
- Reduce maintenance response time.
- Replace the need for paid maintenance workers.

There is one catch however, this system is merely a prototype and SA will only make the investment if claims are met. The E&TS realise that if this were to be approved, they could soon be made redundant.
Upon arrival the robot begins its duties across the site, cleaning the floors, repairing damaged electronics etc. Yet the robot operates strictly according to its programming and begins interpreting inefficiencies very aggressively.'

With this premise it allows for multiple outcomes and could lead to long form roleplay.
Escalation - As the robot continues operating, its behaviour becomes more extreme. Forcefully locking down hallways to clean, confiscating equipment due to 'hazardous waste' etc. Eventually it identifies personnel themselves as sources of contamination and/or inefficiency and begins attempting to escort them out of areas.

Objectives:
- ET&S: Destroy or disable the prototype before it is approved permanently.
- Security: Protect the prototype until the evaluation process is complete.

Possible outcomes that can occur would be if Security is successful and the robot remains operational, the site begins seeing more robotic operation in future RP. But, if the robot is destroyed or sabotaged, E&TS remain unthreatened and the automation program is scrapped.

Please list one RP Enhancement for a Non-Foundation Group:
"The Pinewood Film Crew"

'A small independent documentary film crew arrives in Pinewood claiming they are producing a low budget paranormal investigation series about unusual activity in rural towns. They have picked Pinewood for its spike in reports of these occurances.
The crew sets up cameras around the surface are and begins interviewing locals about strange sightings, unusual noises, and remours of "secret facilities hidden in the forest."

At first the crew appears harmless. They film the various buildings, interview civilians, and investigate the local stories. However, their curiosity quickly leads them towards areas far more sensitive then they realise.'

This premise could quickly develop into a surface wide concern. The civilians can interact with the crew by participating in interviews, sharing rumours and conspiracy theories and helping the crew explore Pinewood. Parawatch may attempt to help the crew document the strange events and finally uncover proof on anonomous activity. This could then divulge into either GOC, CI or Foundation to involve themselves allowing the event to develop naturally from there.

Please list one Event idea for the United Nations Global Occult Coalition:
"Unlicensed Anomaly"

'THe UNGOC recieve intelligence that a civilian in Pinewood recently purchased a strange artifact from a travelling salesman. The object itself appears harmless, its a small metal coin. The only thing visually strange about it, is that its of a currency not recognisable. But, early reports are showing unusual things have been occurring around this civilian.

Upon investigation, the coin displays anomolous behaviour when flipped.

When someone flips the coin and calls a side, if the call is correct nothing happens. If the call is different from what the coin lands on, reality itself bends to ensure the outcome is changed. Example: Player calls heads, Coin lands on tails. Suddenly a power outage happens, when the light returns, the coin is somehow displaying Heads.

As this continues, the outcomes varies in extremities, to the point where vehicles are colliding and combusting nearby causing vibrations allowing the coin to flip, localised weather abnormalities happen, multiple unlikely events occur simultaniously.

GOC is tasked with locating the object and determining wether it should be:
- Confiscated and studied
- Destroyed as dangerous paratechnology'

Now this event can have alot of outcomes or changes. CI may attempt to obtain the coin for their own use, recognising it's potential value as a tool capable of influencing events in unpredictable ways. The civilians may take to using the coin so much before GOC are able to interviene that the escalating occurances draw the attention of Foundation causing a clash between juristiction.

Please list one Event idea for the Chaos Insurgency:
"Broken Transmission"

'CI receive a garbled transmission from a damaged deep cover operative operating somewhere near Pinewood.
The operative claims to have discovered valuable anomalous technology, but his signal is unstable and his exact location keeps changing.
CI triangulate the signal. The team must search several abandoned buildings around the surface. Each location contains clues. Blood trails, destroyed equipment, half finished notes and signs of something hunting the operative.

Eventually they find the operatives final reported location. An entrance to a bunker that had never been seen on surface before. Inside they discover what appears like a preppers fallout bunker, stocked with supplies and equipment suggesting someone has been living there for a long time. As the team navigates the bunker details become concerning. There is a clear trail of blood leading them to a room. Along the trail are notes reading "Device reacts strongly to movement the deaper I go" "Something is down here with me" "If anyone finds this, dont follow the light."

Following the trail of blood they discover the operative. He is dead and brutally disfigured, but his body points to a hallway. A faint glow of light emminates behind one of the doors.'

When CI retreive the glowing device, they discover why the creature attacked. The entity is attracted to the signal that the device emmits. When the CI pick it up... the entity knows exactly where they are.
They are soon attacked, this creature attacks in short bursts before scurrying away ready to strike again. It is able to be killed, but not easily. The team have two options, run for the exit where they could be followed, stand their ground or leave the device and escape safely.

Please list one Event idea for the SCP Foundation:
"The Unscheduled Delivery"

A supply truck with cargo of a single crate arrives at Site-65, the drivers possess no IDs nor standard licensing. The only thing in their possession is an import request for transport of anomalous materials from [REDACTED] to be delivered to Site-65. On this document is the signature of two Site Directors, [REDACTED] & Site-65's Director.

Through the standing of the signatories, the crate is transported to its designated location, LLCZ Non-Spec. Once the crate is opened all there is to see is a small silver analog alarm clock, and along with it is a document detailing SCP-1032. A clock that is able to predict upcoming events. Once inspecting the clock you can see various events that are predicted to transpire....

This event leaves room for completely limitless potential. Having an SCP on site that is capable of predicted occurrences, this can be used to allow Foundation to plan and prepare. One thing to keep in mind is adapting the SCP to work within the realm of Gmod, such as altering how it worked so instead of predicted dates its specific times in the day. Another adaption could come from allowing the predictions to be altered if proper steps are taken.

First comes the proof of concept, such as '14:00 - An argument occurs between two personnel in the cafeteria.'

Then we move to an escalation. A prediction appears, reading '15:00 - The cult arrives, casualties occur.'

This allows RSD to investigate if it can be prevented, medical to prepare for casualties, E-11 moves to predicted locations in advance. If the right steps are taken the clock changes 'Prediction altered'. This can result in a lesser event to occur where there are no casualties, or for it not to occur at all. This can run for as long as its interacted with, and could even make returns or be left as a permanent placement.

Please list a Major Event or Map Change idea (Involving all sides and the entire server):
"The New Neighbors"

'A previously unkown religious group arrives in Pinewood and begins occupying server buildings around town. The group refers to themselves as "The Keepers of the Threshold." The cult claims they have travelled to Pinewood because the area is a "place of convergence" where something significant will eventually occur.

At first the group appears peaceful.

They clean the buildings they occupy, establish small communal areas, and begin interacting with civilians in Pinewood. However their beliefs and behaviour quickly begin attracting attention from others operating within the region.

The cult openly invites representatives from CI, GOC, Foundation and so on to meet with them in order to discuss the terms of their precesence in Pinewood. During these meetings the cult makes several claims:
- Pinewood sits on top of a spiritually significant location
- Something important will happen there in the future
- Their presence is necessary to prepare for this event

They insist they are peaceful, but they will not leave the area volintarily.'

The interactions with all factions could happen in a variety of ways, with the main premise for them being:

- SCP Foundation: The Foundation may become concerned that the cult may have knowledge of anomolous activity near the site or even the site itself. They may attempt to investigate the cults beliefs, determine whether they possess anomolous objects, remove them if they pose a threat etc.

- GOC: The GOC can expectly suspect the group may be involved in occult practices or dangerous rituals. Their objective would be to determine whether the cult represents an anomolous threat and if necessary, dismantal the organisation.

- Chaos Insurgency: CI may see the opportunity to manipulate the cult for their own purposes, recruit members of the group, destabilise the situation between the involved parties etc.

- Civilians and other Surface Populace: Surface groups may interact freely with the cult as they try to intergrate within the community. Some civilains may become curious with their beliefs and perhaps be inclined to join.

Escalation.
As the cult becomes more established in Pinewood they begin attempting to recruit followers from other factions and civilians. They hold small gatherings and sermons where they speak about the coming event they believe will occur. Depending on player interaction, several outcomes are possible.

Peaceful Resolution
The cult agrees to leave Pinewood after negotiations with the factions.
Radicalisation
Members of other factions begin sympathising with the cult's beliefs, creating internal tensions.
Violent Conflict
If the situation escalates, factions may attempt to forcibly remove the cult from Pinewood, leading to a confrontation.

What elements can make an event unenjoyable? Include one example, avoiding the typical answers if possible.
One element that can make an event unenjoyable is poorly conveying information or lack of clarity, where players are unsure what they are meant to interact with or investigate. I have experienced this myself quite a few times, even a really well planned event can fall apart if the participants don't have a solid grasp on whats happening or what their role in the situation is.

For example: There is an investigation type event where players are placed inside a large enviroment but there really isnt any clues or they are too vague and difficult to find. Players may be wondering what is happening and making no meaningful progress which ends up being frustrating. An event can have a great concept but the lack of proper active feedback during it gives the player no idea if they are heading in the right direction.

A good event should provide clear signals and gradual discoveries, allowing players to feel like they are uncovering a situation themselves rather than feeling lost or disconnected from the event.

And finally, what do you wish to achieve by becoming a Gamemaster?
I would love to become a GM because after some time considering applying I feel confident that I could contribute positively and support other GMs in running their events as well as hosting my own. Over time I have found myself coming up with a number ideas that I would enjoy bringing to life and I believe the role would give me that opportunity to make them a reality to allow others to engage with them.

After seeing the new tools that have recently been introduced that has also made me excited about hopefully becoming a GM. I feel I could make good use of these tools for events.

I also see being a GM as a really good learning opportunity. I would love to develop my RP ability, learn PAC3, refine my design work and also gain experience collaborating with others to create events.

Here’s a roast-style paragraph you could use:

Walter Villaine carried himself like he was the intellectual backbone of the SCP Foundation, but anyone who watched him for more than five minutes could tell the whole thing was an act. He spent his days hunched over a keyboard in SCPRP, roleplaying a “lead researcher” with the kind of dramatic seriousness normally reserved for surgeons and astronauts, despite having absolutely none of the competence, charisma, or social awareness to back it up. His lab coat avatar was spotless, his ego enormous, and his understanding of actual science nonexistent. The only thing he researched consistently was how to sound smarter than everyone else in voice chat. Outside the game, though, Walter was just a bitter, chronically online drifter who treated virtual containment breaches like career milestones and had the romantic success rate of a broken vending machine.

If you want, I can also:

  • make it much harsher / more comedic
  • write it as an SCP-style personnel file
  • or turn it into a copypasta roast.

+ Support
Great RP, great experience and solid creative capabilities. Im sure Walter is going to be a perfect addition for the community.
