• GSD Security Sergeant
Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I have been a Security Sergeant for a quite long time now, and I feel entirely ready to take the next step within the department. As a Sergeant, I am regularly commanding the personnel on the floor, authorizing sweeps, coordinating the response when D-Block causes trouble, and supporting newer officers whenever they need guidance.
While I really enjoy my responsibilities as a Sergeant, I want to contribute to the department on a larger scale. I am applying for Security Captain because I want to assist in developing the next generation of NCOs, help with administrative tasks, and support the Chief of Security whenever additional help is required.
My goal is to be a reliable and approachable Captain who keeps General Security organized and operating smoothly, even when the situation on-site becomes completely chaotic.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?
I believe I am suitable for Security Captain because I have developed strong leadership and communication skills during my time as a Sergeant. In my opinion, proper leadership is not just about handing out punishments constantly. It is about knowing when someone needs a formal warning and when a simple conversation is enough to help them improve.
I have spent a significant amount of time training Cadets, helping new officers, and guiding personnel through high-stress situations. I genuinely enjoy the educational aspect of GSD and would love to expand on this, for example by organizing larger training events and mentoring future NCOs.
Furthermore, I am highly active, easy to approach, and well-experienced in handling intense situations like D-Block riots or containment breaches. I work well with both lower ranks and management, and I aim to be someone people can fully rely on when things go wrong.
What are the responsibilities of a Security Captain in RP?
• Managing the daily operations of General Security alongside the other Captains, Sergeants, and Chiefs.
• Ensuring that all security personnel strictly follow site rules and departmental guidelines.
• Overseeing D-Class management, including work permits, internships, and standard containment protocols.
• Identifying capable Officers who deserve a promotion and conducting Sergeant interviews.
• Organizing and hosting tryouts for specific licenses, training sessions, and departmental events.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with the other departments on site.
• Holding Sgts accountable for their behavior and overall performance.
• Taking control of situations that exceed the authority or capabilities of regular Sergeant leadership.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Lucas Waldenstein (who previously went by the name Finn Grimes) was born and raised in Saxony, Germany. Upon turning 18, he joined the military. Due to his discipline and tactical skills, he advanced through the ranks quite quickly and eventually secured a leadership position because of his ability to manage personnel under pressure.
His solid performance eventually caught the attention of the SCP Foundation, leading to his recruitment into MTF Nu-7 ("Hammer Down") at a regional facility. He spent years there involved in tactical operations and training programs, eventually reaching a senior leadership role within the task force.
However, due to an administrative restructuring, Lucas was transferred to Site-65 under a completely new identity. To properly integrate into the new command structure, he had to start from the bottom again as a GSD Cadet. Through hard work, professionalism, and his prior experience, he successfully climbed the ranks back up to Security Sergeant.
As a Captain, Lucas wants to focus heavily on personnel development and maintaining department discipline. His storylines would revolve around mentoring new NCOs, raising training standards, and leading the response during major security incidents.
Despite his tactical background, Lucas firmly believes that communication and mutual accountability are the most important traits for a leader. He does not just want to issue orders; he wants to build a highly capable security team that can safeguard the site no matter what happens.
"Discipline creates order. Order creates security."
