Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
I am applying for Inspector because after returning back to the server, after a not so long break, I returned back to my beloved Internal Security Department and have been having a blast seeing faces old and new and would like to elevate my work in the department. By getting back to Inspector I can begin running operations again and creating new ones that interest all players involved and can lead to a number of RP storylines down the road, additionally I can help get some more organisation going in the department as I feel like things aren't bad but could be worked on, for example we use to hand out assignments to people each day to try and get operations done not a major difference but just a way to give people things to do rather than walking around aimlessly waiting for something to happen. Secondly as Inspector I can help train up new members of the department and pre-existing one as well on how to deal with situations that may arise like the massive Nu7 debacle a couple days ago as well as helping encourage people to be braver, as I've seen a lot of the classic issues of people being too afraid to take actions when they are required like when needing to deal with AO or with CL4 personnel.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
I believe to be suitable for Inspector due to my experience in the server, as stated above I used to be a commissioner a position I held in ISD for months, during that time I started numerous operations, organised ISD on the daily, reworked the current training manual for that time, helped change policy as well as minorly assisting with the big FLC revamp, trained many new members and helped tackle some of the major issues with interactions between ISD and AO at the time. In addition to all that I have also been around to many other areas and gotten to experience pretty much all there is on the sever and have a solid grasp on how every department and faction operates, so I can help facilitate RP creation between ISD and those other groups.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
To me and Ideal Inspector is someone who:
Takes charge of situations when they arise.
Performs trainings, not just doing inductions but also helping to train current ISD members when they notice areas of improvement that can be made.
Creates and helps facilitate RP, such as creating operations or making up RP scenarios on the fly.
Doesn't back down when the going gets tough, like I said previously there are far too many times when ISD can be sheepish and avoid making arrests or investigations because they are worried about potential consequences big or small and back down. An Inspector should never backdown in these scenarios without good reasoning and should serve to motivate others in the department to do the same.
Acting as a role model for other ISD members, lead by example.
Active and always willing to help ISD members when needed and helping other players when problems arise IC or OOC such as interdepartmental conflicts or complaints about some ISD being rude OOC.
Someone who always has the back of ISD members but also knows when they need to give them a boot up the ass when they are out of line.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
Recently I have wrote up some incident reports on events that have occured on site such as the aforementioned Nu7 incident a couple days ago which has gone a long ways in RP. Throughout my time on the server through I wrote a couple documents on OSA namely one where I did a massive review of Site-65 going around to every department interviewing dozens of personnel and taking reports eventually recommending in the review that Site-65 be closed immediately. My memory on the documents I have wrote for RP is not that good but I remember writing some documents for ECA such as policy changes and FLC changes and I remember writing a document to make a policy change to SA but for the life of me I can't remember the details.
What makes a good document for RP is one that's well written and easy to understand whilst also being able to impact RP for several or more players in either a positive or negative way in RP, additionally a document could be good for RP not in it's impact after being created but in the steps leading up to it's creation, for example the Site-65 review document I created required me to set up RP with various player across the server in every department having a positive impact on RP mostly during it's creation rather than post.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
Inspectors are role models for ISD members and should be setting an example to them.
They are RP creators and need to generate RP for their department primarily but also overlap it with others departments so they can get involved.
They are the first point of contact for people to voice their complaints other ISD or one or some of it's members, as well as establishing inter-departmental relations such as setting up joint operations or agreement between each other or just general queries, comments and concerns.
They induct new members into ISD and train pre-existing members to improve where they can.
They organise ISD on a daily basis and help keep things running smoothly.
All the standard CL4 responsibilities such as turning on FSL, approving AA, shutting blast doors, etc..
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
I believe I would be a good leadership holder as I have had extensive history in the server and ISD in leadership positions previously that gives me a major edge when dealing with the duties of a leadership position as well as experience dealing with previous issues that have happened in the past and are beginning to repeat themselves. As mentioned already, last time I was in a leadership position in ISD I helped create a lot of RP and deal with a number of issues that was occurring with ISD both IC and OOC, however I also believe myself to be an innovator and a force for change that can help ISD grow and deal with issues that plagues it now or will in the future or outright preventing them from happening to begin with. As an ISD member I do encourage low sentences when jailing, although it makes little sense in RP you need to realise that the people who break the FLC are actively giving ISD stuff to do and feeding their gameplay loop, if you give them long sentences it's like punishing someone for creating RP for ISD and actively hindering the creation of future RP if you would like some more serious IC punishments then I would wholly encourage tribunals as they are a lot of fun and allow for way more creativity and RP related punishments than jails times, I also encourage the use of citations and other forms of punishments when applicable.
