Hey guys!
It's been a while. I was gone from the server for a good couple of months, handling uni stuff, but now I've got the time for this too, once again
Because I have been gone for a hot second, I figured it would be nicer to make an entire application instead of a resignation appeal, just in case some of the new players come across me for the first time by this.
For the said new people, greetings! I am Mirai, and I used to be the research lead of thaumatology back in the day (and the #1 generator of the famous "SchizoRP"). I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun going forward
Anyway, here be the app, I hope you enjoy the read.
Please list one RP Enhancement for a Foundation Department/MTF:
Intended for Research, ET&S and SOP
An executive order is sent for the anchors of the Special Perimeter Enforcement Array for Reconnaissance system to be re-fixated.
A team composed of research, tech experts and their SOP escorts are to activate a series of anchors (pillars or spikes), disposed around the map's perimeter.
This could also leave room for chaos to intercept and do their thing.
Mechanically, there are GMObjectives which rise once activated. Other interactions are done with /me and /it actions.

Please list one RP Enhancement for a Non-Foundation Group:
MC&D receive a chemical case containing a set of unpredictable substances.
They can play with them and see what they do, study them further for potential uses, or possibly auction them off to other factions.
I expect things to easily "spiral out of control" in ways that may include the others too.
This definitely should have a lot of potential, with at least minimal effort from surface players.

Please list one Event idea for the United Nations Global Occult Coalition:
A "Type-Red" regenerator entity has manifested near Pinewood and is rapidly consuming local matter to grow. UN were flagged due to the sudden disappearance of all supplies in the surface Eatery and even Tesco. It turns out it's an ever-growing entity that all it does is consume nearby matter to get bigger and stronger.
Physics are deployed to liquidate the threat, with urgency. Letting it grow too big would make it uncontainable. Now, would the GOC employ Foundation's help? Or would that be a risk for them to capture the KTE instead?

Please list one Event idea for the Chaos Insurgency:
"The Engineer" issued a step plan to seize a high-mobility energy anomaly, currently active in an undisclosed location. small set in GM plane
The anomaly is a "Wisp", a small, fast-moving ball of lightning (created via PAC). It behaves erratically, jumping between electrical sources and interfering with all manners of devices. When living beings approach, it hurls bolts of energy.
CI has to weaken, corner and contain the entity. They can find ways to siphon its energy, enough to have it controllable. The ultimate goal is to somehow weaponize this Wisp and have it useful later on. If they capture it without draining its energy first, the Wisp could detonate in a high-yield explosion, possibly injuring units and compromising the anomaly itself.

Please list one Event idea for the SCP Foundation:
"The Conductor" is in town!
After the transfer request has been approved by Floor-3, SCP-12569 is brought in from Site-300.
The Conductor is an ethereal thaumaturgic humanoid who communicates exclusively using music cues and simple gestures.
He has been invited to repair critical "Narrative Frays" ("plot-holes") in the facility's reality. His baton acts as a "Needle"; as he conducts, he is literally "sewing events into the weave" of reality to stabilize it. The Research team can serve as his "Orchestra": they must interpret his silent demands to assist the ritual. However, as The Conductor tightens the weave, "Discordant Echoes" (hostile noise-like entities) are squeezed out of the cracks. MTF and other combatants must silence these interruptions without breaking the Conductor's concentration, lest the needle slip and distort the facility further.
The execution of this may sound a little meta, but I think it works well, especially given things like Pataphysics (I think it was?). I've been calling the area "A well" because of the cumulation of anomalous events in the map, which should be out of the ordinary by SCP standards

Please list a Major Event or Map Change idea (Involving all sides and the entire server):
A catastrophic "reality overlap" occurs, trapping the entire facility within a sub-reality bubble. The laws of physics are temporarily suspended, replaced by the clashing laws of Thaumaturgy (Magic).
All those supposedly-clashing energies collapse together and create a subspace in which they all exist at the same time, on top of one another and somehow in conflict with each other. The facility is functionally replaced by the "Grove of Schisms", the cold hard concrete replaced with the concept of stability, and wood.
Massive, spectral trees, acting as sentient Pillars of Power, erupt through the floors and terrain. They represent and embody "branches" of magic. Closely-related types of magic share a tree, while vastly opposed ones are separate.
Example: "The Crimson Patch" - Sarkic-adjacent; "The Pale Root" - calm, pure thaumatology and its server-applicable reality-bending.
These "trees" are not just scenery; they are entities fighting each other for dominance over the bubble. Where their roots touch, reality distorts violently.
GOC has a simple task - "Burn the garden". They view this as a massive parathreat and attempt to destroy the trees and their roots, causing backlash.
CI has the task to try and harvest "Thaumic Sap" leaking from the clash points to weaponize the raw energy.
Finally, Foundation must try to somehow pacify and separate the energies before they inevitably collapse and annihilate each other, (alongside the entire region)

What elements can make an event unenjoyable? Include one example, avoiding the typical answers if possible.
Events can be unenjoyable if uncontrolled. This was a problem when you'd have troublemakers running around, bothering everyone with no genuine roleplay attempts.
Another thing would be if the GM doesn't present the idea correctly, or in a way that can be reasonably understood by most people. It doesn't make for very good engagement if the players lose interest because they lost the plot 15 minutes ago.
And finally, what do you wish to achieve by becoming a Gamemaster?
I really highly enjoyed being a GM in my previous run. It's allowed for so so many fun opportunities. I know full well that being a GM (or having a GM around) can make an otherwise dull day very engaging, and I want to offer players exactly that once again. This works even better when it's integrating other people's small event ideas - attaching myself to RP situations, only to enrich them further. This can be almost seamless, in a way that I know players will highly appreciate.
