What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
I believe my experience in roleplaying and maintaining a serious and professional altitude could be a great way to do my duties. I will also be quite active on Overseer Assistant and give all my efforts to it. I personally think that it is going to benefit me both in experience and knowledge to be an Overseer Assistant. I am willing to assist all Overseers with their work and do most of their day to day duties. I will also step in and do my best at managing the site during times of emergencies or absence of Site Command or Site Administration. I am genuinely looking to begin my career up in the Clearance 4 area in order to gather experience that will assist me in doing my job and improving the site generally.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:
1 - Representing & Assisting The O5 Council
Overseer Assistants play a huge role within the O5 council's inner workings, they assist the O5 council with their day to day duties on a flawless precision. During when the Council is unable to attend certain events due to its risks or other problems, Assistants will attend in their place and give them all the info at such event at a high level of knowledge. They also assist the Council with making drastic changes that could affect the whole site's fate. Generally, they reduce the workload of the Council and make it less stressful over them. They are generally trusted by the O5 Council.
2 - Fulfilling Orders by the O5 Council
Asides from assisting the Council generally, they are their right hand men at everything. They do whatever they are ordered from the Council. Anything that the Council wishes is their Command and Law. They fulfill Council orders to the highest of their ability and do whatever it is needed to do such order. Orders such as sampling and other stuff are generally issued at a daily basis.
3 - Approve Advanced Armory
In the times of massive Containment Breaches, when Site Command and Site Administration are unresponsive to any calls, it is the duty of Overseer Assistants to step in and do what it is needed to do.. They can approve Advanced Armory when they are the highest on the Chain of Command or if both Site Command and Site Administration are unavailable. The Advanced Armory contains the strongest weaponry of the Foundation which are granted to Mobile Task Forces Non-Commissioned Officers at the times of crisis.
4 - Approving Site Lockdowns
During the absence or unresponsiveness of Site Command and Site Administration, Overseer Assistants hold great power of the site protocols and procedures. With this much power, they need to use it wisely and for the better of the site. It is extremely important that they approve of emergency lockdowns of multiple areas such as sector specific lockdowns or the Heavy Containment Zone. They are in-charge and responsible for security of the site when they are the highest on the chain of command. Such lockdowns may include; Emergency HCZ lockdowns due to multiple breaches or a 008 situation.
5 - Approving Mass Termination
When they are the highest on-site and no Ethics Committee or Site Command and Site Administration available. They are given special permissions to approve of Mass Termination of Class D personnel for various reasons which include; Class Ds rioting reputedly with deadly weapons during a difficult situation such as a massive Containment Breach. It is important that they think 1 or 2 times before approving of such decision as it is purely an ethical matter.
6 - Cracking down on Information Leakers
A part of the Assistant's duties are to crack down on information leakers, either by 2 ways. They can ask Alpha-1 to deal with it or deal with it themselves. It is regular routine that they ensure classified information doesn't go into the hands of lower clearance personnel. They regularly send out messages in communications. reaching out to people who have classified information and bagging them.
7 - Other CL4 duties.
Other CL4 duties may include a bunch of which are not their main priorities such as, opening high clearance doors for personnel who need to get in that area in an emergency such as 008's doors and Epsilon 11. They also can monitor CCTV for any abnormal stuff. Other duties would include closing Blast Doors when it is applicable. There is much more Clearance 4 duties to cover over.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Nick has been raised in a well educated and in an upper class family, some of which of his family members have been working in the SCP Foundation for a long time without telling anyone. Nick grew up living the life to the fullest and got the best education there is and much more. He lived a relatively happy life before joining the Foundation due to a chain reaction of events. When Nick finished High School he decided to spend multiple years of his life dedicated to research and biology. Once while on a normal shift in the lab. he heard a glass vial break... The vial containing SCP-008 slipped out from a pocket of an undercover Foundation Agent. Shortly after a massive 008 outbreak happened in the lab and Nick was terrified. The outbreak eventually managed to get to thousands of 008-2s but thankfully the Foundation got rid of them very quickly. Nick did happen to survive and was left traumatized. Eventually the SCP Foundation before hand was monitoring how great of progress Nick was achieving with his research in Cancer and other viruses. As such before the incident occurred the Foundation Agent was supposed to introduce Nick but he got infected. They reached out to Nick by sending multiple Agents to him hiding in a wooden shack in the forest. He was eventually invited to join the SCP Foundation as a Researcher. He was hesitant at first but eventually accepted the invite. He eventually sped through the ranks of the Research Department and was a Senior Researcher for a while. He found some Alpha-1 guarding a spot but was curious what was there, he sneaked in thoroughly and found some information he should not have at all, he then proceeded to make a run for it but was captured by Alpha 1. He was being Interrogated by an O5 Councilor.
O5: Greetings, Nick..
Nick: Why am I here? I shouldn't have done that dumb move!
O5: Ah, don't worry. I brought you here for a different matter.
O5: I have been aware for quite a while that you know about some stuff that shouldn't be known for you. I see you doing research on a lot of Clearance 4 SCPs in "secrecy", It is my time to break it out to you that I have been monitoring you within each research session.
Nick: What is going to happen to me? I am terrified.
O5: I have brought you here to give you an once in a light year opportunity.
