Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
Throughout my time in the Research Department, I have always desired more knowledge and power to conduct my own tests which I had insufficient clearance to grant. The role of "Executive Researcher" would grant me those abilities, and enable further tests involving more SCPs with a larger ground for creativity.
On another note, I enjoy roleplay within the Research Department, due to its ability to entertain multiple personnel involved in tests, through coming up with unique test ideas. This is mainly through its interaction with newer people to Site-65 where their first experience as a D-Class, Cadet or Jr. Researcher is pivotal to their opinion on the server. This is where I can help Jr. Researchers learn what our site has to offer, give D-Class a more entertaining impression than a quick death, and provide new GSD the chance to observe this with giving them a space to be involved in roleplay other than combat.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I try my best to seem like a friendly figure to which people can approach easily. This would be shown through multiple cases where I have inducted new members of the RSD and guided them on their first tests. Additionally, I have tried to give all players involved in my roleplay an entertaining role to where they do not feel left out or bored. I believe this is a vital part of keeping people engaged with the department. This should show my care towards the Research Department where I try to cater towards everybody involved.
On the other hand, the role of "Executive Researcher" is a leadership role which requires relations with other departments. I have shown my capability for this in multiple ways recently through my tests involving the Medical department, as well as a survey I conducted recently which has involved talking to most of the CL4 members on the site (which I am in the process of writing about my findings).
Yet I do not have previous CL4 experience, my ability to act as a mentor shows my suitability for acting in a position of leadership.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I have submitted a total of 3 documents, two of which gained excellent: A Cross Test Involving SCP-860 (Pre-info reset), and Behavioral Changes using "Screaming and Pestilence". However, I have had a variety of other documents that were unfinished due to the info reset.
To make a document "excellent," it should contain most, if not all of the following sections: front cover, index, SCP information, Goals, Hypothesis, Method, Conclusion. Additionally, the document must be highly descriptive with little to no gaps in detail and mostly correct spelling and grammar. There should be a good format which includes pictures or diagrams. Finally, the test should have a useful goal.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
As a CL4 member of staff, they act as a symbol for their department, where their actions can reflect on their department as a whole. This means that they should be well conducted and provide a friendly manner to all different departments. Additionally, CL4 staff have a role to close blast doors during a containment breach.
Alternatively, "Executive Researchers" have roles such as overseeing the RSD, approving tests, marking documents, and managing projects in addition to creating roleplay for the site. A good Executive researcher will continue conducting tests which should involve a wider audience, as well as finding creative methods to which others can "spring off" in their own direction of roleplay.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Noro Violet was employed as a Jr. Researcher as part of the new staff to work at Site-65. They quickly became familiar with many of their coworkers and SCPs on site, rising through the ranks in the Research Department with their creative tests on anomalies. After meeting a lot of the staff and anomalies on site, they grew invested in the behavior of them; through how site members acted towards "lesser" personnel, or how anomalies were unempathetic to the human race, leading to a mass of unnecessary death of both D-Class and site personnel. This behavior confused them, so they decided to use their role in the research department to evaluate the way site personnel and anomalies view each other. The obsession over others behavior with the uncertainty of how they acted, lead to Noro conducting tests to force behavior on anomalies, through a variety of methods, while maintaining their friendly manner to the "public" of Site-65.
[The lore behind my character is quite short. However, I expect there to be more roleplay available as a CL4 staff which will aid in expanding my character and tie them with multiple long term stories]
