What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):
I am applying for the role of O5-3.
I have decided to apply for this role as I believe I am at a level where I am ready to take the role on. I have recently been creating RP especially with a recent investigation I pitched to RedMann and got backing for leading to many people getting involved without realising. People enjoyed the RP that was created during this investigation RP I was doing and I would like to be able to expand the RP type outside of just Internal Affairs Investigations. Creating chaos and confusion to ultimately get what I require is RP people enjoy (so long as it doesn't get out of hand) and is exactly what O5 is about. Doing what is required to get the results they want.
Whilst I could quite happily continue making RP on this lower level as Internal Affairs I believe it would be beneficial to push it further. Running research projects that the Ethics Committee wouldn't allow, using departments to cover up information and allowing The Committee investigate these actions enabling the use of their departments to find information. Creating the back and forth RP between O5 and EC that everyone enjoys. Obviously that is not the only RP I wish to make, RP that doesn't involve conflict would be nice such as having Alpha-1 work as spies, infiltrating bunk areas and groups more to discover site secrets for the Council. Speaking with Site Administration and the Ethics Committee to push RP between Departments such as Medical and Research, IA and E-11, Nu-7 and DEA etc.


What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
I am experienced. I have experienced Junior CL4 role holding in Internal Affairs, Senior CL4 role holding in Internal Affairs, CL5 role holding as an Ethics Committee Member. I also have experience as SOP thus being Nu-7, Intelligence and DEA (around release). I too have began learning how CI operate, I have conflicted with UNGOC and understood how they operate as Ethics and now as IA Ambassador. I learnt how Foundation operates and how surface works during my time on CN.

I have experienced the Role Play created for these groups, I have created Role Play for most of these groups as IA or Ethics. I have observed how Site Command works as an insider, outsider and direct subordinate. I have been show the Role Play people would like to see which will allow me to perform to the highest standard as an Overseer Council Member. People typically want to see Serious Role Play on the server with a mix of more light hearted Role Play. I intend to bring both as an Overseer. Hearings, patrols, meetings, Code Emergency Responses (for Alpha-1), SCP tests (such as 682, 079 and maybe 008) are all Role Play scenarios I would like to perfom on a regular basis. Some more random Role Play scenarios would be research projects such as 008 immunity drugs or reversal methods, medical projects creating RP medication to cure diseases, surface patrols. These are just some ideas for RP situations that I would like to bring/increase.

I worked hard as Internal Affairs to ensure we were viewed in a more respected light, and we have been seen in a much better light. People respect us more then they did. We have had less people complain about Internal Affairs during arrests then we previously did. I remember being called to Interrogation almost every 5 minutes because someone wanted to complain about IA, now I only attend Interrogation to type up documents or make arrests as I know I won't be bothered by people complaining.

I have already created Role Play on the server as Internal Affairs Ambassador and Director (first time around) including implimentation of reasources that are still used 6+ months later. One of which being the Site Affairs ID which has recently expanded to DEA Directors, another being the Code-Black procedures for Internal Affairs. My investigations which provided RP during them and at the end of them often leading to a hearing or tribunal. Investigations I did with John Dear especially with the case of ECA Kaz resulting in their tribunal which had to be cut short due to the 3 hour length. As of recent as IA Ambassador again I led a revolt against the O5 and Alpha-1 as part of an investigation to figure out how they react to specific situations. During this investigation RP occured with document forgery, espionage, stealing documents, corruption, kidnapping, murder, treason, insubordination, stand-offs all of which involving Internal Affairs, Alpha-1 and other Departments such as medical for document forgery and kidnapping.

Finally I am resilient, I always aim to achieve what I can to benefit others as much as I can. If I set out a task, I aim to complete it the best way possible.

What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:

The O5 Council are responsible for a number of things in RP as stated bellow:
  • Overseeing sitewide performance via the use of Site Administration - to ensure smooth operation of the foundation and tasks are being met within a reasonable amount of time.

  • Organising hearings for cases of conduct violations, negligence of duties or underperformance - this is done to ensure that personnel do not begin messing around without consequence or fail to deliver what they promise.

  • Use Mobile Task Force Alpha-1 to complete taskings required of them acting as the O5's personal special operations team - MTF Alpha-1 is used as they are ISD and trusted with higher knowledge then other MTFs or departments. Furthermore they are specially trained for tasks given to them.

  • Providing tasks given to the Overseer Assistants that are classified - Assistants are trusted with top priority and low priority taskings that the O5 Council are unable to do themselves due to the danger level or more important taskings they most conduct.

  • Code-Blacks - this is done to control the site wide roleplay. Typically these are used as roleplay has been disrupted too much and requires a quick way to get it under control. Code-Blacks are used to get Non-Combative personnel out of the way of Combative personnel so that they can combat SCPs to recontain them or GOIs that are causing chaos within. This prevents death of Non-Combatives that is not required and prevents crossfire wasting time and resources.

  • Detonation of the Alpha Warhead - this is done to put an end to site wide roleplay. This is typically used only in extreme cases where an SCP breach has caused so much damage to the roleplay of the site that it must come to an end. This is used as a last resort and can save or destroy roleplay.

  • Using the Research Department to create interesting Role Play projects. - This will allow the research department which is arguably the most RP orientated department to show off their RP skills. Making new research projects for them to complete and explore the RP potential on the server.

  • Roleplay creation - securing anomalies from the surface such as SCP-8854 and SCP-323 for surface roleplay and foundation roleplay by testing on the surface SCPs. Furthermore creating medical surgeries and practices for medical, more options for GSD then D-Block guarding to keep them motivated and interested in playing on the server.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):

There are many responsibilities of the O5 Council out of Roleplay bellow are the responsibilities listed:
  • Appointment and reviewing of Research Directors to ensure they are acting appropriately in their role and decide if the roleplay they are creating for their department is sufficient enough alongside their leadership abilities in the department

  • Appointment and reviewing of Overseer Assistants enabling the O5 to have their lesser tasks carried out by Assistants and observing how worthy of their position they are. If they are not fit then look at either aiding them improve or discharge them.

  • Appointment and reviewing of the Site Director in conjunction with The Ethics Committee to ensure the site relations are being managed well. If the person at the top isn't doing well, everyone bellow them cannot do any better. The Site Director is crucial to ensuring Site Administration is operating effectivley in their duties putting them into special measures/under review to improve Site Administration to allow the rest of the departments to improve their status.

  • Appointment and reviewing of the Alpha-1 Commander. Without the MTF Alpha-1 the O5 Council no longer have highly trained body guards loyal to the Council taking on any task they are required to. If the Commander fails to keep their regiment in check then standards will drop in training, recruitment, retention and general duties. Should this be the case Alpha-1 become useless to the Overseer Council and are in effect another department they have to drag along with them rather then use to aid push the weight they need moved.

  • Advising O5-1 on the appointment of new O5 Council Members which is crucial to Role Play. Should Site Command members not be appropriatley chosen and put into positions they are not fit for they may bring the server down with them. This is possible as they may make choices that negativly impact the server leading to people leaving including senior position holders which will ultimatley lead to the decrease in server performace from departments.

  • Advising departments when it comes to roleplay creation (if required/requested). Without Site Command guiding roleplay and helping others create roleplay, site command is just a keycard, suit and access to do anything including damage server health. Site Command should advise departments on how they can improve their roleplay to increase the ammount of roleplay on the server. It can be treated as the ripple effect in a pond, one idea may spark another idea and a chair reaction will occur of RP ideas being created. Rippling out to the edge of the pond and bouncing back to bring in fresh ideas again.

  • Advising Alpha-1 on who may be a good candidate for their regiment, this allow Alpha-1 to have the best candiates for their regiment which the Overseer Council uses daily. If there is someone who the Council believes is up-to-par then Alpha-1 COs can consider looking into that person as they could be a major benefit to Alpha-1 and O5.

  • Creating, updating or removing policies with departments or the site (such as the foundation legal codex). A key part of Site Command is their policies, they can sway the role play on the server massivley as it can allow free range of role play or make people choose between pursuing their RP creation and risk being caught, tribunalled and jailed or getting away with their actions and creating some role play that will intrest the server with no fear of removal from positions.

  • Maintaining good relations with departments OOC including GOIs (dispite GOIs no longer being part of O5s duties and is now Site Administrations duty). Without positive communication OOC with GOIs IC actions will flood into OOC toxicity leading to a neglect for other departments/regiments in terms of role play as seen in the early year of 2023 where UNGOC were outcasted from Foundation and any role play causing the faction to die. Having good OOC communication could have prevented that and has so far ensured relations can easily be repaird if required.

  • Collaborating with the Ethics Committee and Site Administration for future roleplay scenarios they could create. Without communication people will not know what is going on and nothing will get done. Having chats with eachother IC and OOC will allow everyone to stay in the loop of what is going on and ideas can be pitched to improve the roleplay that is going on. Site Command and Site Administration are key to server health, without them role play standards would be much lower then they currently are as no one is co-ordinating the departments to operate effectivley.

  • Documentation management such as rosters and handbooks for O5, OSAs and MTF A-1. Documentation keeps everyone up-to-date and in the loop of what they need to know. Handbooks are typically used as the initial training guide and is later used as the back bone for knowledge if a refresher is required. Rosters are used to track peoples activity, strikes, promotions, demotions, removals, tryouts, just about everything you need. If these are not maintained and ensured ownership is transfered then issues may start to arise as experienced before by GSD, DEA and other departments.

Thank you all for your supports so far and I do agree, it has been a little bit of time since I last held a senior CL4/CL5 position I can assure you the skills I had during that time has remained and can be put to practice as O5 or any other Senior role.

I updated my view on this. The only thing holding me back from giving you a +SUPPORT is indeed the fact that you have not had a senior CL4 position for a while. I believe that the skills and experience you gathered during the old times are still there; however, due to the time that passed, I have to deem it a negative.

Hey Critical, I believe that you could be fit for a site command position as you were in the past. However, it’s been a while since you’ve had any senior position so I’d recommend going for a Snr CL4 to show your current abilities.
I’ll be leaving a neutral opinion.

Understandable. I also believe it is best to make sure you are aware that the actions I took with Omega-1 as ECM (evading your escort) will not happen again as O5. Having discussed it with Eidolon I regretted those actions realising the impact it had on you all.
