What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):
I am applying for O5-4. The reason I am applying for this position is that during my time on the server, I have played a wide variety of roles, some of which work closely with the O5 but I have never gone as far as to become an OSA or an O5 member yet. During my time in FCOM I had always wondered what it would be like to play as the other side and I personally believe I would be able to portray the role of an O5 well while providing for the other side of FCOM/AO. During my time on the server I have always been drawn to and played antagonistic characters. I believe that it is something not many people are willing/wanting to do. I always tend to make sure everything is ok OOC after big altercations and try to help people understand that IC actions are IC. With O5 being the perfect role to portray someone antagonistic, I feel as though the potential RP I could create is worth it. I would be able to, with my knowledge and skills, create that character for Ethics/Omega-1 to focus on.During my time as ECC, I had always planned to switch to O5 at some point, but I felt the time was not right due to the state of Omega-1. I feel as though the character I would play would require Ethics/Omega-1 to be in a good state to engage well in the RP that I would create. Given that Omega-1 are making a comeback with their gameplay loop and that Ethics are on the up, I feel it is the right time to have a go at this once more. In short, I have plans I wish to pursue that would get the site involved, but mainly give Omega-1 and Ethics someone within O5 to focus on for a while. My hope is to create a slow-burn story that allows Omega-1 to return to their investigative gameplay.


What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
Currently, I am the best candidate for O5 due to my experience on the server. I have, like I said played the other side of FCOM along with a wide variety of roles on the server during my time. With my experience within each department, I know how each department operates, along with what each of them has found fun in the past, which would allow me to incorporate a large variety of departments in my activities in a way that would be fun and enjoyable for them. As for my time in Ethics, it means that I know what they want from the other side of FCOM and will be able to work with them on an OOC level to ensure that what we are doing isn't degrading their department. As for specific reasons as to why I'm the best candidate:

Leadership
I have a proven track record within leadership positions, mainly pointing to my term as the Chairman and Site Director. During both of these terms, I worked closely with those under me to improve and revitalize the systems in place. I ensured that everyone had at least 1 thing assigned to them at a time, so we were always moving forward. We kept everything very tidy within threads, ensuring everything was properly labeled, allowing other members to give feedback quickly without having to search through channels for long periods. I also was able to manage the divisions/regiments under me effectively because of how I would delegate tasks and ask for updates on a frequent basis.

Communication
I believe that one of the main skills you need for any senior position on the server is good communication. Without this there can be a severe breakdown in organization. Communication is key to allow those above you to know what tasks you're currently tackling along with what tasks need doing by those under you. I have also always found time to give feedback to those who ask for it along with taking on feedback from others when they are willing to provide it. In CL5 roles especially, communication is key to ensure everyone is aware of the current goings on around site and ensure overtackling of a problem doesn't happen.

Roleplay
As an SGM, I have created many storylines that the site has been involved with over the past few months. We had the info reset, which took place over the span of a week across the entire server. During that time, I spent most of my time on the server enhancing the RP of everyone around, making sure something was going on for the entire week leading up to the finale. We also had the apostates storyline for which I created the rank structure and played key roles within the events to ensure that the villain of the story was always somewhere on site. With the time spent on the event server prepping for the map changes as well as making GM objs that are still used to this day. As for my time during Ethics, I was always looking for something to when I was on site, whether that be watching over RSD or having O-1 follow some random I tried to always have something there for them to engage with.

Experience
I have badgered on about my time in ethics so I’ll make this shorter. I have done the role of FCOM before and with my experience as an A-1 MAJ in the past I know what I will be getting into. I know how to create fun and engaging orders for A-1 to do and I know which tedious tasks they prefer to avoid if possible. This knowledge means that I would be able to come in fully equipped to do the role I am meant to play.


What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:
Alpha 1

As O5 are directly responsible for Alpha-1 due to the fact that they are their personal MTF, it means that they should be providing them with tasking on a regular basis. I don't mean that they need to have something for them 24/7 but they should aim to find something for them to do. You can do this by using the orders section on Discord, or, when on the server have them go out and do something with someone for you.

Overseer Assistants
In the same way O5 directly provide for Alpha-1 they also provide for their assistants. Again, this can be done via the Discord orders section or by giving them active tasking while on the server. When it comes to OSAs, I feel as if they play a vital role in helping you stay up to date with what is going on at the ground level. They are a key source of information and a good assistant will mean that you will gain intel from them to then give Alpha-1 something to do off the back of it.

The Foundation's Goal
As a member of the O5 council it is your job IC to align the site with what the Council’s current objective is. As a whole the Council would want to uphold the mission statement so this means that they would ensure that Research is getting done so we are always progressing. But on an individual level, council members might have their own agenda which they would recruit certain members of staff to carry out. On the surface though they would just be there to ensure that the site is actively pushing forwards and not going stagnant which will mainly be done via assistants.

High Tribunals/Tribunal Veto
The Ethics Committee hosts tribunals within the foundation. If someone annoys the wrong person, they might face a High Tribunal Hearing where all of FCOM discusses their fate. The O5 also reserve the right to veto any charge someone could be found guilty of in a normal tribunal/arrest.-

Code Calling/Management
While O5 members can call codes, they often ask SA to do so and ensure callouts are accurate. They also need to authorize AA and call FSL when needed. In serious situations, FCOM can nuke the site if the breach or situation is too severe.

Site Admin
The O5 closely monitor Site Administration within their sites. They ensure alignment with goals and proper site management. They use OSAs and A-1 for this duty. For Site Directors, O5 have personal talks occasionally to ensure compliance.

FCOM Communication
While not a major duty, it is necessary to stay updated on what the other side of FCOM is doing OOC to ensure your RP does not ruin their fun. They do not always need to agree with you, but a heads-up about major events is always useful.

Appeals
When someone is demoted or sometimes striked, it is up to FCOM if elevated to them, to review the evidence and judge whether the actions were necessary.

Site Admin
As direct overseers of SA, O5 must stay updated on what Directors and Managers are doing to ensure smooth operation. In times of need, they may take direct control of SA temporarily.

RP Leadership
They set the standard for RP on site. No matter the character, RP should never become overly unserious. They must take scenarios seriously and actively work to improve the server’s quality.

Although throughout your time as Site Director I had no issues with you, when you were ECM / ECC I / most of DEA had many that I won't go into details of again in here alongside your opinions of DEA that majorly limited us from doing our jobs from I have seen
If you've got any examples instead of baseless claims I'd appreciate it :)

Implemented one of the worst changes to site admin where they did monthly reviews on SR. CL4. This is a game, not an actual job, people should never be monthly reviewed in a video game. Even actual companies don't do monthly reviews. It actually discouraged people from ever trying to achieve CL4.
Hearing this change being implemented as well was one of the reasons I decided not to return to the server.

While I don't necessarily agree with the reviews which were implemented. The idea of a conversation with personnel on what they've done and where they can improve going forward was a good idea.

This, however, as a Site Director shouldn't affects ones ability to apply for an 05 role. As an RP leader, he is there to create roleplay for the server and its players. I'd suggest listing actual reason(s) why he can't be an RP leader as an O5 personnel.

No hate to you or anything, but during the time I was RSD, the way you were handling RSD OOC stuff was horrible as well as things related with RSD IC, and frankly was not of someone that wants to create engagement or try to be impartial. communication during that time from you was not something id want players on the server to have with anyone as it made it feel like an actual job and a terrible one at that.

Experience doesn't make someone the best candidate.

I did reviews when I got into the role of SD so I could see where everyones was at, considering the findings I would say they were needed. However I never set these to be monthly. I said that they was to be done "as and when needed" as in if there was a performance dip. If SA are choosing to do them monthly thats their choice but was never my final plan.

I'll try and keep it short and simple. I will agree you've experience as CL5 Personel and you do have what it takes for the role. Personally though i think you should be back for a bit in atleast an Assistant's Role after an LOA (please correct me if wrong i may have just not seen you around for a while). You definitely have the experience necessary for the role but I think the roleplay you get into is often a bit questionable.

For example, going around site as an A1 Sergeant to smoke in places like medbay just to antagonise medical, or playing ISD and purposely escalating situations that could otherwise be handled with citations or fines.

I’m neutral however because it is still roleplay, even if it’s often antagonistic, and you do have the experience for the role.

I recommend getting back into a CL4 role first and going from there.

Created a hugely negative environment wherever he went, is two faced and leverages his relations with people high up to get what he wants. Removed multiple people during their time as Site Director because he lacks the awareness or care for how other departments function. Holds grudges and uses any chance he gets for petty revenge.

Honestly the most childish and egotistical person I have ever talked to from my time playing Gmod.
Should receive a blacklist from all Snr CL4 roles.

Antagonistic is the point of these actions. ISD deal with minges a lot we've all seen it. So like when I smoke in those areas its not to "annoy" or "piss off" anyone, that’s never the goal. Its to provide something for ISD that they don’t often get. The point of these things is to do something that is defined in the FLC as "wrong"/"illegal" but in different ways to the standard misuse charge or protocol.


I recommend getting back into a CL4 role first and going from there.
While I understand your point it has been just over a month since I resigned from SD. Even after that time I've held the role of SGM so it's not like I've been gone for AGES and coming back for an open slot. Im still very activly playing and providing for the server.
