Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I am applying for Exec Researcher because research is awesome!!! What I mean by that is that its part of the server's lifeblood and it what needs is someone who can give it the care and attention that it deserves. Often times departments end up getting neglected due to the lack of good leadership and people who can make a difference. I have found that with my expertise, I can work alongside the rest of the research department to steer it towards a brighter future.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I offer, what is in recent memory, one of the most unique takes on research this server has seen in a while. I have been roleplaying a Foundation Geologist who mostly focuses on the study of rocks, minerals, and materials as well as their potential anomalous properties. I believe this fresh point of view and the unique approach to roleplay that it provides has enriched some aspects of the Research department. I would like to extend this approach to everybody and help nurture the ingenuity and creativity that comes with research by extending the opportunity to engage in creative roleplay outwards. I believe my history as an RP leader and MTF E-11 Commander should offer the kind of intersectionality that would enable me to possess the traits listed above and would make a suitable candidate.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I have 3! Each of these documents was meticulously and lovingly crafted with a sole goal and purpose in mind and properly formulated in a way that enabled the research question to properly get dissected in the follow up indices through the aims, hypothesis, etc. What makes a document excellent isnt necessarily something you can place in it or a format you can follow, it's the love you pour into the research experiment.
Obviously there are stylistic requirements, such as the document requiring proper formatting, potentially having images, minimal blank spaces, as well as the grammatical requirements of proper punctuation, spelling, etc.
However, if you are truly enjoying what you are researching, your work will reflect that in the quality it possesses. When I first initially played Research ages ago, I had a very myopic view of how to conduct research experiments and often did tests that felt "flat" or "uninspired". I didn't approach with the kind of care or love that I should have been cultivating to begin with. The reason I chose to be a Geologist is because the subject of studying anomalous minerals fascinated and it is reflected in my work.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Several! Executives are part of the Research Leadership team and are expected to help grow and lead research alongside the Department leaders! This includes a breadth of things like onboarding new researchers, authorizing tests, creating projects for the whole department to work on, and other similar duties.
Additionally, Executives grade documents from other researchers, they guide researchers on how to write documents, take on research requests from other departments, and classify any new SCPs that may appear on site.

Day 265

Sorry, not a diary. I keep forgetting that, oops! Anyways, Day 265 of working for the SCP Foundation! 100 more days left until 1 year? Isn't that exciting?!!! It feels like almost yesterday that I was picked up from that mine way out in Bogota with the rest of the crew. I thought we were done for cause we didn't speak any Spanish, but the nice men in suits were actually Foundation staff! They had us detained and questioned us about the geode structures we were studying. I just learned it was a quartzite formation of SCP-409! Woah!!! To think that even today that piece of crystal still terrorizes me...
Wait, that sounds weird... Anywho, it got me thinking about what I've accomplished so far working for the Foundation. I'm glad I can grow and continue working on my specialization, especially since I am still paying off tuition fees. Sometimes I wonder what would have become of me if I never took them up on the offer? Would I still be out in archeological digs or would I have joined a different industry by now? Scary thought.
I just recently finished a test on SCP-173, we had to dig at him with pickaxes!

It went pretty well but I think my document got lost somewhere in the database. Oh well, it will pale in my comparison to my next test, I will just need authorization to get it done. After all, it does involve a certain SCP that I can't write the name of down in here for safety reasons... Let's just say it's kept in cold storage, hm?
