For how long have you played on CG SCP: Since November/December 2022
Age: 17
In what country are you located?: Ireland
Time zone: GMT
Character name(s):
[F] Séan "RedMann" O'Shea
[UNGOC] Marbles
Civilian name: Séan "RedMann" O'Shea
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
MTF E-11 COM, holding since 14/7/2023
Ethics Committee Assistant, holding since 6/6/2023
UNGOC 1SGT, holding since 6/10/2023
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: N/A

What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for Ethics Committee Member because i want to progress my standing in the server and broaden my scope and ability to create roleplay for other players to enjoy and take part in.

When i joined this server and became invested in regiments and departments i never though i would have an interest in Site Command, but over the past few months i've found that prescribing RP based duties and operations for larger groups of players to take part in can be fun and satisfying and is really its own way of playing the server.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
Clearance 4 Experience
Ever since march of this year i have been a Sr Clearance 4 Member of Epsilon-11. During this time i have worked hardly with my fellow COs to take E-11's standards to be one of the highest performing departments on site. From the time i was assigned Commander in July, E-11 has not fallen below an SA monthly review score of 8 and remains one of the best performing departments.

RP Creation
During my time in E-11 i have worked to not only maintain the standards of the regiment, but also to create RP for members of E-11 to partake in and enjoy. The biggest contributor to this is the operations system which allows E-11 to carry out missions and activities assigned to them by the CO team for the purpose of interacting with other departments and ultimately creating RP scenarios that would have otherwise not been created.

Assistant Experience
In June of this year i became an ECA. Over these past 5 months i have learned the ins and outs of what the day to day experience of being an ECM is like. I have worked with many ECMs and 2 chairs in this time and have thorough understanding of what is expected of an ECM and how they are meant to act and provide back to the site.

Documentation
I have gained the skills in external document writing from E-11 and in game document writing from being an ECA and in the UN, i would be confident i would be able to handle the paperwork that is expected of an ECM.

Activity & Availability
I make myself available as much as i can through TeamSpeak, discord and in game so that i can always lend a helping hand when needed

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
The ethics committee live a lie, to anyone who isn't clearance 4, they are merely the foundation's HR group who ensure there is no unethical testing or abuse of Class-D. However the committee's true purpose is to ensure the O5 council stays clean and uncorrupt, they must ensure that the very heads of the foundation keep the organization on a clean record and to discover what is possible, in an acceptable manner. The committee will directly interfere with council affairs should they have reason to believe that they are stepping out of line or engaging in detrimental practices.

The EC manages the ethical side of the Foundation Legal Codex and makes amendments and additions after deliberation if deemed necessary. Any Clearance 4 found breaching the Foundation Legal Codex will have to answer to a tribunal and investigation from the Committee.

The EC assists site administration in their monthly reviews providing each department with ethical ratings based on audits and investigations carried out that month.

The EC prescribes Omega-1 and ECAs their duties and orders.

The EC also directly overviews the department of internal affairs to ensure there are "boots on the ground" when it comes to enforcing the legal codex of the foundation.

ECMs have the authority to decide when the use of the Alpha Warhead is necessary to reset RP and end a breach that is being detrimental to the player experience on the server.

ECMs Authorizing the mass termination of D-Class if there is a large amount of them escaped and actively causing damage to foundation personnel or operations.

ECMs may approve research tests that use more than 3 D-Class or involve SCP-008.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
The ethics committee deliberates on the following applications and promotions.

Director of IA

Omega-1 Commanders

Ethics Committee Members & Assistants

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:

BY ORDER OF THE OVERSEER COUNCIL

oc (2).png
Epsilon-11 Commander "RedMann" is to appear before the council for a tribunal on the charge of high treason

Failure to appear will result in termination.
**An unspecified room, floor 3, Site-65**
He knew what awaited him. He stared blankly into space as his criminal deeds where called out to him.

On the pedestal above him sat the O5 Council, in the center was the Chief Overseer himself, flanked by his council members who sat patiently, staring intently into the commander's soul. The room was blank, void of features other than the high seats that sat the council. A never ending blackness seemed to surround them, but from it, O'Shea could feel the stalking presence of "The Red Right Hand", waiting with baited breathe to end his life if he even nudged the wrong direction.

Chief Overseer "The Sovereign": Commander O'Shea.... you stand before us, accused of colluding with the chaos insurgents, feeding them information and utilizing class F amnestics to create an inner sect of clearance 4 staff to obey the insurgency. I am simply speechless that such a valued and trusted member of the foundation would even dream of doing such a thing-

O'Shea broke down into whimpering tears.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: Please... It wasn't my fault... you know it wasn't...

Chief Overseer "The Sovereign": Then who is to blame? Are we to let the death, violence and subterfuge you caused go free? Completely forgiven? You were brainwashed, your mind erased by the insurgents. For all intents and purposes Commander O'Shea died, and the person stood before us is a parasite who has corrupted and ruined the life of a once loyal and powerful asset.

O'Shea's breathing speeds up, he begins to choke on his words.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: No.. no that's not true... it's not... i can remember i just need more time- its like a faint old life... the full picture is just out of reach-

Chief Overseer "The Sovereign": And what if it remains that way? What if you can never truly escape the grasps of the insurgency? Will you ever be clean and truthful ever again?

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: I-

Chief Overseer "The Sovereign": Do not answer that, i know the truth. Commander, upon your capture you ordered your men to engage joint ISD forces, you proceeded to temporarily resist in this floor's very server room before you where shot down. The council has found you guilty of high treason, murder, misuse of amnestics and conspiracy. O'Shea is long dead, what stands before us will be removed from its positions, the foundation and indeed the annals of history. We are going to make this disgrace disappear from reality itself.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: No... please there has to be another way! I'm me! I've always been me! This life isn't fake! I was used and i didn't even know it but I am back please can you see that!

Chief Overseer "The Sovereign": We are not blind, but we do not see it.

A silence struck the room.
Alpha-1 units emerged from the dark shadows and stood by the Commander.

Chief Overseer "The Sovereign": You will be escorted to your bunks in the heavy containment zone. You will collect any personal paperwork and bring it here. You may say your goodbyes and apologies to your remaining, non converted, officers under the strictest supervision. You will return here, and never leave again. Do you understand?

Gathering himself, he stood into the elevator. To his left and right, front and back where Alpha-1 Operatives.

He felt the sweat on his brow, his stomach churned as he knew this was the last time he would see anything he could consider home or anyone he once called his friends. He waited, it was grueling, the elevator lowered, and lowered, and lowered, it took an eternity. Then there was a sudden jolt, followed by a stillness. The doors creaked open.
The doors revealed a man in a dapper suit, overalls and sunglasses.

???: Gentlemen.

The operatives looked perplexed but stepped out, the man shuffled out of their way to let them passed, they acted like they didn't see him, and O'Shea followed suit.

???: Alpha-1 i am here to speak to the commander if i may have a moment.

An operative leaned in to his radio:
"Sir, it's Dierder, he wants to speak to-... yes very well"

"You can have 5 minutes, in the maintenance room past the bathrooms"

O'Shea sat down on a box, he was, perplexed and worried. The operatives waited outside which put his mind at ease.

???: Some water?

O'Shea accepted a small paper cup of water

Hans Dierder: Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ethics Assistant Hans Dierder, and i am here with a proposal directly from Mrs. Glass.

O'Shea simply stared up at the assistant.

Hans Dierder: This proposal, should you accept, will see you follow myself and some Omega-1, to the right, into the core sector where you will meet Mrs. Glass herself. On the other hand you may continue with Alpha-1, going left, in this case your death is all but assured and you will be in a bodybag within the hour.

O'Shea's head fell into his hands. He waited in silence for a few brief moments.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: I'm a dead man either way... one more mistake won't kill anyone... except me. Lets go to Core Sector.

The two emerged from the closet to a showdown. Alpha-1 stared down the Omega-1 facing them. The assistant and the commander slipped their way through the scene. When he glanced back he saw the piercing red eyes of "The Red Right Hand" staring him down.

They arrived into the warm embraces of the ethics offices. The guns of "The Law's Left Hand" where a comforting sight for the commander, he felt safe and secure, though he knew what awaited him.

The Assistant input the code and the door swung open.

Who stood waiting was a woman O'Shea would have thought to be a mortician, dawned in white with cold glare. He knew exactly who she was.

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Come in.

Both the assistant and commander entered into a long hallway. With just enough Clearance 5 keycard scanners to make O'Shea snap out of his homely sense of security and back to the bleak and depressing situation he found himself in.
Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Hans, wait outside, commander, you proceed with me.

O'Shea gulped.

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: This is quite the risk commander, i hope you won't disappoint me here. It is a great danger bringing the most wanted foundation staff member into my office today, let alone what i am going to tell you.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: Chairwoman I'm sorry, I would have never done those things, i can feel my old self just beyond my reckoning, he is just out of reach i only need more time, that's all i ask of you.
Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Time? If I was only going to give you more time I wouldn't have gone through all this effort to get you here, no... no. In fact i can give you all the time in the world.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: What do you mean?

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Commander please, calm your nerves I am your ally. Did you know there's a vacant spot on my committee?

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: I- I read the email...

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Good. Now do you understand that the ethics committee combats corruption and injustice within the foundation?

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: Yes.

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Good. And you understand the sometimes... conflicting interest between the council and committee?

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: I've witnessed it first hand.

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Excellent. Let this be brief, i am offering you a position on my committee, you will be relieved of your commander positions and duties and you will be fully fledged Ethics Member. If you turn this down, I cannot protect you from whatever they plan to do to you.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: Why? Why would you put your neck out for me? Have i not caused anything but trouble?

Ethics Chairwoman Maeve Glass: Your work prior to your kidnapping is some of the most successful and prolific any commander has ever given us. And the ethics committee have come to the unanimous agreement that you are the victim of a plot to usurp the foundation, you where used and ultimately tossed aside, now you, with you shattered view on reality, are left to die, there is hope for you yet commander, you regain your old self everyday we can all see it. But tragically the council does not, they are angry and hotheaded and want results and punishments. Should you join us, they could not murder a fellow member of site command, let alone one who is on the successful path to recovery. So O'Shea, what will it be?

O'Shea stepped out proudful and envigored into Omega-1's bunk space, he was followed by the Chairwoman.

Séan "RedMann" O'Shea: Omega-1, report immediately to Epsilon-11 bunks, go through each and every drawer and take copies of anything you see with my name, there is a lost person i must study to truly become myself again.

If i where to gain this position i would use to rework certain aspects of ISD players' characters and how they document themselves.
I would also look to work with the medical department to develop a way of opening long term personalized psychiatric care for site staff
And finally it would be my goal to further develop the EC disguise of being more of a HR department to anyone below CL 4

Redmann has demonstrated immense roleplay ability during his tenure in the server. He has managed to lead incredibly detailed roleplay storylines with ease. I believe he would be a perfect fit for Ethics Committee Member.

Also, gotta love being in the lore xx

During my time in E-11, I never doubted your ability to lead and direct E-11. You helped me complete my first tribunal against Nu-7 (never again please).

As mentioned in your app E-11 under your leadership never had a score below 8.

o7 imma cry.
Dwayne Dibbley.
