FROM: Deputy Director Eleanor Combina, Site-288 (E.COMBINE@SA.SITE_288.SCP.FN.EN)
CC: O5-8's Liaison Office (OVERWATCH8@SITE_01.SCP.FN)

Good afternoon,

I am writing you today as a formal request for the reassignment of Dr. Malcolm Hale from Site-288 to a site advisory position within your jurisdiction, effective as soon as administratively possible.

To be clear, this is not a request being made due to incompetence. Dr. Hale is, regrettably, extremely competent. He has successfully assisted our site through multiple full containment crises, two partial evacuations, and one incident that the Council prefers to be kept silent.

That said, Site-288 staff are no longer capable of functioning under his style of command.

To iterate, during our latest containment breach, Dr. Hale issued various critical security orders exclusively through prose, only after searching through his filing cabinet for a colour-coded laminated checklist marked 'River Incidents'. Security personnel complied only because several of them have worked with him extensively enough to understand his directive to lace the sites' water supply with amnestics. An issue for another day, trust me.

We do not have the luxury to acquaint our new staff members with Dr. Hale's behaviors. I have already had all of my senior staff take mandatory prose lessons, but at some point enough is enough.

He refuses to rename his checklists, or to change his conduct.

I have spoken to him. HR has spoken to him. Ethics has spoken to him, at length. And if I let the council speak to the poor man? I think he'll end up getting shot.

Due to this, I strongly recommend reassignment to a facility where his antics can be tolerated by more like-minded members of staff. If I am to understand, Site-65 falls under your directorate; I have heard the rumours from it. I think he'll fit right in.

Respectfully, and with great urgency, I am done arguing with a man who refuses to relay the directives of a site-wide evacuation without first consorting with his filing cabinet full of checklists named after fairy tales, regardless of how accurate the things are.

Please advise me on the timing of the transfer availability.

And please get him out of 288.

E. Combina,
Deputy Director,
Site-288.

Application Proper
Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
At risk of sounding mundane; Because I believe that it will be a fun experience.

Throughout the last year on the server, I have consistently had the most fun while playing RP-Intensive roles such as Executive and OSA, and by producing RP scenarios as other roles. I am now applying for Site-Advisor specifically because it is well suited to future RP endeavors that I have planned, and because my time spent interacting with a wide variety of departments in a wide variety of situations, as predominantly done as an OSA, were rather enjoyable for me.

What makes you suitable for Site Administration?

To begin; I have a fairly extensive experience amongst all of the sites' departments and regiments, barring solely Alpha-1, which I have nevertheless been quite involved in from the OSA's point of view. I have primarily played each department for at least a month worth of time, and thereby have a decent grasp of what each department's functions and gameplay loops are. Beyond this, I have prior experience as CL4 in 3 different departments, 2 of which in a managing capacity.

In each role that I have played, I have shown that I am capable of participating in roleplay scenarios from a fully in-character perspective, which I hope that the people who have interacted with me across various characters can attest to.

Both in my capacity as a player, and in my capacity as a gamemaster, I have consistently produced interesting roleplay scenarios, projects, and orders for others to springboard off of to produce their own roleplay scenarios. In the capacity of a Site-Advisor, I see even more opportunities to create interesting roleplay scenarios.

What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?
To begin with the standard-issue tasks;

Authorisation of Advanced Armory usage: In situations where multiple anomalies have breached containment and containment forces struggle with containment efforts, AA can be authorized to speed up containment efforts and thereby permit RP to be disrupted less by breaches. Important to note is to not grant it too frivolously, as that may play against other players' interests.

Authorisation of Emergency-Response Team Deployment: Linked to the above, in a situation where on-site containment forces (even with AA access) are unable to reign-in the containment breaches, ERT can be deployed as a stop behind the door to see any containment breaches quickly halted so that regular RP may continue. Again, care is to be taken to only deploy it as truly needed.

Authorisation of lockdowns: To prevent interruption to departmental workings, some care has to be taken that zones aren't locked down willy-nilly all the time. SA provides oversight here to make sure that it goes well.

Authorisation of passive breaches: In the interest of ensuring that passive breaches are not frequent enough, and that some measure of security protocols are abided by, SA manages passive breaches.

Non-Standard Authorisation: In the event that departmental CL4's are unavailable, Site-Administration can step up to fill the gap temporarily, thereby keeping actions running smoothly without individuals getting caught up in a paper-mill.

Management of Site-Staff: SA determine new appointments of Departmental Director and MTF Commander positions in the event that a role is vacant, provide general oversight to command positions in the sites' departments, and are also the go-to individuals for an employment hearing in the event that an individual believes that punishments issued by their superiors are unjustified.

Liaising with site-Departments: Site-Admin provides monthly liaisons to each department to ensure solid cooperation between the various departments, and supporting departments with whatever they may need from the SA team. At the same time, this provides SA with a 'boots on the ground' information source from a department to track its progress and conduct.

Management of site policies: To make sure that site-65 is running smoothly, Site-Administration provides site-wide policies and their enforcement as needed, alongside providing some oversight to departmental policies to ensure that there are no contradictions or other such issues.

But, to my own spirit the vastly more crucial task;

Functioning as a springboard: for other players to jump off of to kick start interesting roleplay scenarios, and facilitating roleplay scenarios for others, and specifically non-senior roles, as much as possible.

Please give some lore about your Site Administration Character and what storylines they would be involved in:
For character lore, please see the SCP Sandbox page linked below;
I am aware that this document leaves a tad of detail behind; This is intended, I personally believe that some things should just be experienced rather than read about.

As for storylines involved in, my first main goal story-wise would be providing the acquaintance of site staff to a character that I intend to be a bit more 'Looney-Tunes'-ey than what I am used to; I am eager to try something new, after all! Following that, the more long-term storylines would consist out of the management of site-budget. Why site-budget? Because you can do some very funny things with site-budget, as I think some people may soon be encountering. Trust me, it'll be funny.

Anyways, yes, hello. Thanks for reading my little schizo-application-posting thingy! Feedback is always welcome, I appreciate being let known what I can fix/improve upon!
