What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
-
The reason I think I’m a suitable candidate for overseer assistant is due to my ability to create unique RP scenarios which have been able to create a site situation, which provides RP towards many members of the foundation within the site. Additionally, I have adapted towards situational events which involve being professional. This basically means that I have the ability during situations to act professional to try to enhance the RP situation. I have also been told by a few Clearance 4 members that my RP is rather good, especially for someone of my level.

Another reason why I am able to be a unique or good candidate for the role of overseer assistant is due to my ability to create documentation at an excellent grade. From my experience and guidance from the research department (Involving Casseno, Jesse). I was able to learn about making documentation to complete testing which has allowed me to learn skills about creating documentation in general, While in RSD, I did a series of docs on the nutrition of 999. I carried these documentation skills over to medical as well for psychiatric evaluations and surgery reports.

Additionally, I have worked with the medical department, which is my main role within the foundation, which has allowed me to learn many aspects of how the medical department runs. I learned how to give surgeries, which helped me adapt to being calm and quick thinking, while maintaining professionalism during RP, especially when it is life or death for someone’s character, or if someone else isn’t exactly acting professional, while my first few surgeries were rather dodgy, I did learn a lot and I think they have gotten better. Me and another Sr. Doctor, ran (still active at the time of writing) a small storyline about upgrading people with cybernetic limbs. I believed it to be a success, as we even got an ECA to replace his arm with a mechanical arm.

As well as this, my time in medical and doing psych evals helped me learn how to make documentation at a better level, my favourite of these was to and A-1 LCPL ‘Airman’, he gave me one of the best opportunities for a psych eval and I believe that document to be my finest work within medical.

I am also an Epsilon-11 member, which has helped me gain a better understanding of many of the SCP’s and the roles of many MTF units on site, as well as helping me figure my way around the site better. My time in E-11 also helped me develop good relationships with the members of E-11 and many other MTF members that I have met.

Overall, these factors will hopefully give me the opportunity to get to the next stage for the role of overseer assistant.

What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:

To my understanding, these bullet points are the duties and responsibilities of an OSA.

  • Managing the personal wing blast or during a breach
  • Operating the Tesla Gates during a code 5 making sure they're active
  • Using the camera system available on floor 3 in order to provide call outs of certain locations during situational events
  • Creating and conducting operations involving RP situations, this can be done through any department but are mostly developed in the research department and medical department, as they are the most common.
  • Completing orders given by the 05 Council, as well as providing information on the events around the site
  • Assisting with authorisation steps with documentation, and providing the signature when the overseer has successfully authorized the document.
  • Authorising the advanced armoury during code 5, depending on the severity of the breach.
  • Working with Alpha 1
I believe these to be the main roles and responsibilities of an Assistant, however, I’m sure there are more that I will learn over time.

Why do you wish to become an Overseer Assistant?:

The reason why I'm applying for the role of overseer's assistant is due to the RP capabilities of the role, as well as this, out of all junior CL4 roles, it's the one I am most interested in. I've always been interested in the operations within floor 3, however, I have very little experience with its operations and would like to learn more. I have also seen some amazing RP come from floor 3, which I have participated in and have helped create. I want to be a part of more of this RP and want to also help create RP.

I also want to try something different and something that interests me. I have spent a lot of time in the medical department, which I have loved. I have also spent time in E-11 and these experiences have taught me a lot about RP, and after spending a while in them I would like to take the next step and try something new and after speaking with a few people, I believe this is the role that I would enjoy the most and would learn the most from at a junior CL4 level.

I also quite like many of the Overseer assistants and would love to work with them as I believe I would learn a lot not only about the OSA job, but about the foundation and RP in general. Jesse has always been a good mentor to me. He is always a joy to work with. I’ve also worked with Malia quite a lot (as O-1 CPT/MAJ ‘Shrimp’) and have done some of my best RP with her. I love working with her and would love to be able to continue to do so as an OSA. I don’t think I've ever had a single bad interaction with anyone on the OSA/O-5 team and would love to work with them and learn from them.

This would also be my first CL4 position, despite my inexperience. Like I mentioned, I would love to work with and learn from all the people who are currently working on F3.

Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Background:

Growing up in the biggest county of Ireland (Dublin) never really suited Ryan, he was always a bit shy and reserved around people he wasn’t particularly close with. Most people didn’t mind it, however, as from the people he did speak to, they always said he was a friendly and intellectual person, just a little quiet at first. When he was 21, He graduated from Dublin City University 3 years early with a degree in psychology and History. He planned on teaching history at a secondary school level, but fate had other plans.

2 months after graduating, he ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. He accidentally stumbled across the SCP Foundation, who had surprisingly heard of him. He was a well-known man in the Dublin area, known for his psychological expertise and good knowledge of history. Instead of amnesticating or killing him, Ryan was brought in by a member of the foundation and transferred to Site-65 by request of medical, as their former psychological expert had retired. He was inducted into the foundation and worked in the medical department. He was mostly known for his psychological evaluation abilities and if someone asked him about Irish or European history he could speak for hours. However, outside of this, he was still a quiet man with most people he met, especially with combatives.

Despite all this, people realised just how observational Ryan was as he could learn a lot about what type of person someone was before they even got to the evaluation room. This trait was well respected and useful to the foundation as it could be used to tell if someone was lying, they found him useful during interrogations, as much as he clearly hated doing them. However, he was called “a rising star” in the department by the Director of Medicine, a statement that once saved his life, however, the other 4 weren’t as fortunate.

After a long tenure as the foundation head of psychology, Ryan was noticed by the council. They believed a man of his expertise, who could figure a person out easily and was used in interrogations, could be useful to them. After a long time scouting him, they offered him the opportunity to work on the third floor of the foundation. Once up there, he was sat down for an interview, on one side of the table was Ryan, as quiet as ever. On the other side was an assistant, who was at the time under orders from O5-[REDACTED]

As the interview progressed, the assistant began to ask Ryan about the stuff he found boring, mostly his childhood and early adult life before the foundation. The assistant then began to ask him about his known areas of expertise, realising that he was better at these things than basically anyone in the foundation, especially in terms of history. Once he became the head of psychology at the foundation, he learned every single piece of history about the foundation available to his clearance. He also added towards the end of the interview, “If what you're offering me is a Clearance 4 job, I’m in. It gives me access to more history to study, plus, it’s time for a change.”

It was clear to everyone that Mr O’Dállaigh was an quiet man, however, they thought his intellect and experience would be a valuable asset to the team. His interview at this time is still awaiting confirmation on acceptance or denial.

I see.
>INPUT: Log me out, I’ll be back later.
Until next time sir.
