What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition: |
Time served in Nu-7 has given me experience of surface combat and how to handle situations with hostile and neutral Groups of Interest. Being in the Hammer Head squadron of Nu-7 has given me experience handling anomalous objects and entities, in both containment and destruction.
General combat experience, willingness to follow orders and respect chain of command, mostly serious attitude and a drive to roleplay as an effective GOC member.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?: |
I want to join the GOC because they are an interesting GoI with a different and appealing take on the anomalous, motives, tactics, technology, and human lives. They also have new (to me) and interesting terminology.
I feel the GOC would be a very fun faction to roleplay and work within, and the gameplay is appealing as it gives a break from site RP. I have an interest in learning their ways in practice, and a genuine interest in becoming an effective Strike Team member.
Being in an Occult group who values individual human lives will give an interesting experience as it is an almost foreign point of view that I'm willing to take on.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?: |
The Global Occult Coalition was founded because, after The Seventh Occult War, country leaders and various Panaratural groups wanted a stronger influence and vision over the Anomalous world, and so they forged 108 existing different Occult groups already deep into the Anomalous world into one. The Global Occult Coalition was formed and became and equal to The SCP Foundation. In current day the GOC is one of the largest Paranormal groups to exist and generally police the Occult world with force, and keep it safe from Anomalous threats
The United Nations Global Occult Coalition protect humanity as a whole from the anomalous, enforce the secrecy of the Occult, keep individuals safe from Anomalous harm, actively destroy Paranormal entities and objects for threat of the Paranormal cannot be trusted to remain, and to learn from the Occult to further their own mission.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do: |

| The PHYSICS Division is 'action' arm of the GOC. they are the force that investigates and combats the paranormal. PHYSICS is split into the Assessment Teams and Strike Teams. Assessment Teams members may find themselves investigating surface based Paranatural entities as to ascertain their weaknesses and effects. Strike Team members may find themselves using intel gathered by Assessment teams to destroy Paranormal entities or objects. | The PSYCHE Division is the diplomatic arm of the GOC, they deal with communications and relations between the GOC and other Paranatural groups. PSYCHE Division members may find themselves keeping good relations between the GOC and The SCP Foundation as to avoid a conflict, or to organise a combined force to complete a common goal. | The PTOLEMY Division is the support arm of the GOC, ranging from scientists to develop further technology, to logistics members who keep the GOC running from the side lines with supplies. Please explain The Seventh Occult War: |
The Seventh Occult War was a hidden war fought under World War 2 between the paranormal arms of the Allied and Axis powers. The Ahnenerbe Obskuracorps of Nazi Germany fought to gain control of Occult powers to gain an edge in World War 2, actively combatted by the Occult forces of the Allied powers, the Allied Occult Initiative.
SCP-3457 - "Rite of Solomon"
SCP-3457 was a ritual attempted to be used by the Ahnenerbe Obskuracorps during The Seventh Occult War to remove the thaumaturgical capabilities of anyone not of German descent as to gain an advantage in World War 2.
When the intentions of Obskuracorps to use SCP-3457 for this reason, and that they could create and complete the ritual with substitute objects, The SCP Foundation became involved, making the first case of a joint operation between The SCP Foundation and the Allied Occult Initiative to prevent this.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?: |
The Global Occult Coalition is, in my view, different from the other groups within the SCP-Universe due to their comparability to The SCP Foundation in stature, technological advantage, and influence. The GOC is also unique as it is less than secret within the Paranatural Community, enforcing it's mission on other Occult groups.
The GOC compared to other groups, such as The Serpent's Hand and The Chaos Insurgency, is a large and threatening power who 'polices' the Occult community. The GOC, of all groups that exist within the SCP Universe, are possibly the most ethical and humanitarian, with a strong stand on the survival of the individual. They are selfless to a reasonable extent, much unlike The SCP Foundation who would happily lay down the lives of personnel or innocents for the successful containment of an SCP object.
