Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
I am interested in applying for the Site Advisor position as I have been with CN SCP for just shy of 4 years and I have a general interest in leadership and organisation, I would like to contribute a high standard of RP opportunities to both myself and other individuals on the site. Positions such as Site Advisor provide myself with the opportunity to support both site administration and departments, providing calm decision making, structure and a consistency to strive for both improvement within the site and to be a helping hand to assist players.
While I have been within CN for a few years, I am not well-known in the community when compared to other applicants whom have applied, but I do not see this as a bad thing, I see this as a fresh start for myself to get involved in the community in a position which has an authoritative stance on the site. With that being said, I tend to juggle departments within the server, just being a Senior Doctor or GSD, this allows myself to have a better insight on how departments are led and ran from a lower time based rather than whitelist position without bias, in comparison of coming from a whitelisted leadership position where my judgement could be inappropriate due to a circle of friends which I may have made in high ranking positions.
In my current position where I do not hold any position of authority or grand responsibility, I myself have witnessed and experienced certain choices, behaviours and acts which do not align with a positive image for the Site, whether this is in reputation for departments or certain individuals, I am in a unique position to raise any concerns that are brought up to myself or issues that I have experienced in the past.
I am particularly interested in the admin and leadership side of the position, ensuring that all departments are being ran to their full potential and for players to feel welcome to bring any issues or problems which they feel about their department or certain individuals in the department, where I would be able to take appropriate action and to discuss and investigate any issues which arise.
I believe that if I was given the opportunity to become a Site Advisor I would be able to play a key role ensuring that the day to day delivery of the site is well organised and decisions which are implemented are thoroughly discussed with both the benefits and the negatives being brought up to ensure that all site members are given a fair opportunity to be able to operate at that best.
This said, while I may not be a well known name or frequently interacted with individual, a fresh face without prior bias or judgment would provide the site an opportunity to grow further than it's current state.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
I personally believe I am suited for the position of Site Administration because I have a thorough understand on SCP Lore, the fundamentals of the foundation within CN and how an authoritative position should be portrayed in a RP setting. I am capable of staying professional and appropriate in environments which would benefit and have a good understanding when the professionalism can be toned down.
I am easily able to adapt to situations, I listen to others and do not shrug off any issues which seem insignificant. I am capable of resolving conflict without instigating escalation. In addition I am respectful and capable of observing on going RP situations and proactively identifying issues before they arise. I understand when it would be appropriate to take action or when it is better for the RP to develop naturally. Overall improving the environment.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
The responsibilities of Site Administration is a heavy but crucial part of the position, they are the overall responsibility of the site with assistance and cooperation from other Site Advisors, Site Director and other administrative personnel, Ensuring that as a site advisor you do not dominate but encourage and guide departments and individuals to ensure the Site runs smoothly.
Some responsibility of Site Administration include but not limited to:
- Debating and deciding on site policies and procedures
- Internal investigation and appropriate audits on departments
- Provide assistance to departments when they show signs of struggle and investigate different approaches to improve said department
- Reviewing and choosing department directors
- Organising responses to certain situations
- Department liaison responsibility
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Duke entered the SCP Foundation through internal oversight and operational analysis rather than frontline service, developing a reputation for identifying procedural weaknesses before they became catastrophic failures. Their early career was spent reviewing incident reports, containment breaches, and ethics reviews across multiple Sites, which shaped a leadership style focused on preparation, accountability, and controlled decision making. This background led to their appointment as a Site Administrator, where they now oversee site operations, interdepartmental coordination, and compliance with foundation protocol under O5 oversight.
In roleplay, Duke serves as a calm but authoritative presence during crisis, authorising response levels, managing containment efforts, and mediating conflicts between departments when objectives clash. They are often involved in internal investigations, ethical disputes over anomalous experimentation, and long-term operational planning following major incidents. While outwardly composed and professional, their character carries the growing weight of responsibility, allowing for storylines centered on moral strain, political pressure from higher command, and the challenge of maintaining control in an environment where failure is inevitable.
