Second Segment - Main Questions

Q: Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?

A: In the recent month, I have only received one ban, which was declared unjustified and was appealed therefor, apart from that I have no recent warnings that are still active.

Q: What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?

A: I strongly believe that I meet most of the requirements and possess the qualities that would match the excellent fit for an Ethics Assistant Position. This belief stems from my current position as Chief of Security, which is classed as a Senior Clearance Level 4 Position, as well as my previous role, those being Security Captain and Executive Researcher, both at Clearance Level 4. During my time as a Clearance Level 4 Member of Foundation Staff, I have learned & applied essential knowledge, basics, as well as fundamentals that are crucial for initating some positive and immersive roleplay. In this segment of me creating roleplay scenarios, I focus on developing an extensive storyline, reasoning, and background for each action. While I don't rlly script every interaction or roleplay scenario like a movie, I prioritize maintaining the upmost of immersion. This involves things such as ensuring that my character aligns with my role and contributes to the ambiance of the roleplay theme and so on.. I am also well-suited for this position because of my belief to be well familiar with the Foundation Legal Codex and the Ethics Committee as a whole inside of SCP lore. As a Clearance Level 4 member, I've had a fair share of encounters with Ethics, gathering only positive interactions; as well as gaining a general insight into how Ethics, or moreover Site Comand creates roleplay, this is very important as one of Site Command's main responsabilities is to create immersive and detailed roleplay, this also applying for their respective Assistants. I am also fairly confident at knowing what the responsibilities of Ethics and its primary function at Site-65 are.
And to add on to this, I want to emphasize that I have also began to strengthen the relationship between D-Class and Foundation Staff through my recently implemented D-Class Reputation Program. I believe this could be a significant factor in my candidacy for the position of an Ethics Assistant, as it not only demonstrates my passion for roleplay involving Ethics or IA, but also speaks on behalf of D-Class Personnel. This, in my opinion, is a rare occurrence if we account the last successful initiative of this which was the D-Class Work Program, which I believe took place a long time ago.

Q: What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?

A: Ethics Committee Assistants hold quite a lot of responsabilities for not only their place in the foundation rank hierarchy but also for their importance within the Foundation and while in the hands of the Ethics Committee. Many of these responsabilities are ensued from the direct orders of an Ethics Member or above, but also for their important role inside of the Foundation, which grants them the following resposabilities as mentionned:
  • Carrying out orders from Ethics Members and the Chairman
One of the many responsibilities given to Assistants of the Ethics Committee is to attentively carry out all directives and orders, consistently and without the most of detail in demand. In the event that an Ethics Member or the Chairman assigns a task or gives an order, Ethics Assistants are expected to execute it with precision, minimizing inquiries or errors during the process. Playing a crucial and indispensable role in supporting all Ethics related departments or relations, adhering to their directives is pretty logical to the aspect of their duty.

  • Enforcing the Legal Codex and Ethics at all times
Assistants of the Ethics Committee are mandated to follow the Foundation Legal Codex unwaveringly. It is upon them to ensure that all personnel follow this principle. In the event of non-compliance from other personnel, an Ethics Assistant possesses the authority to aid or perform the apprehension of personnel that are Clearance Level 3 and below and are found in violation of the Foundation Legal Codex (in certain circumstances they can arrest Clearance Level 4 Staff). Moreover, they are strongly encouraged to promptly report any mishaps by Clearance Level 4 personnel. While they are unable to independently address such matters in most circumstances, they can contribute to the justice by submitting evidence and a detailed narrative. Additionally, as holders of Level 4 Clearance, they are obligated to follow all policies regarding General Conduct and Professionalism. Any breaches of these policies require sincere repentance and self improvement for the better term of their future employement.
  • Ordering MTF Omega-1 when needed
If an Ethics Member is not physically present on site, Omega-1 is allowed to operate independently without direct oversight from any Ethics Member. However, in instances where Assistants of the Ethics Committee are present on site, they typically possess that authority to issue orders to Omega-1, given if the nature of the tasks do not require the direct presence of an Ethics Member alongside their assistants. Though a Commissioned Officer can still do this by their own, Ethics Assistants still possess this authority to order Omega-1 only if it is needed.
  • Able to authorise Advanced Armory for Mobile Task Forces
Ethics Assistants are in the power to authorize the use of the Advanced Armory for MTF Non-Commissioned Officers and above. Such authorization becomes possible only in situations where no higher-ranking personnel, such as Site Administration or Site Command, are available during a period when the authorisation of the Advanced Armory is deemed necessary to address a mass-scale containment breach.

Final Segment - Character Lore
Q: Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

COMPOSED FILE 0001-1

It is of great interest that I write about my interest for the Ethics Committee, in-fact I've imagined myself as an Assistant and I am in pretty strong belief that this could be it, that this interest could be the future for my career within Ethics, not only have I dedicated this imagination and will towards General Security, but I'm also doing it for Ethics now, so it's best that I write it down incase I lose it. If you need some background on who I am, then I suggest you read documents about my background and what not, such as my personal synopsis from the O5 Council, SCP-7428, an interview with ethics and what not. You gotta figure it out. I think I've also committed a lot to D-Class, yet they still decide I'm the 'bad' guy and just have some sort of hatred for me, just like for every other guard out in Site-65. I mean, I think I wrote something for them.. at last..

I don't want to flood the post, but wanted to clarify for you and others that may in the future ask regarding ECA stuff; Skinner will do fine. The tasks are, as the name suggests, assisting the Ethics Committee and being their pair of eyes when they're not on site. That's what I've gathered from OSA aswell. It takes a while to get used to but the main factor of whether or not a person is cut out for it is imho the ability to learn and mold into a new space. When entering ECA you will not only have to interact with the EC but also O-1. Being a good ECA means good comms and good relations, in that regard, I feel like Skinner will excel, to sum up:

  • Skinner is the type of person that can *absolutely* work with new people and get into the role quickly.
  • Skinner actively uses mic and knows senior foundation staff policies (Mass term, AA, and QRF) or at the very least has access to that info
  • Skinner holds a Senior CL4 which means he's perfect for it.
  • Skinner is responsible, and I doubt he'll have much issues with making a switch to ECA and fulfilling the tasks there.

Hopefully this word of mine explains reasoning behind my original +Support and can give people a slight idea as to what ECA entails. Good communications, friendliness, ability to interact with people, and ability to pursue internal investigations or even sometimes interrogations is what makes a good ECA.
