What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
I believe one reason would be my activity on site. So far carrying a 30 day streak where I didn't miss a day to spend on site, often staying for the above of 5 hours. I am able to remain professional when required and play complex characters that are not just one dimensional caricatures. I am also a quick learner.
I am able to take lead when its needed and think on my feet when the situation calls for it. I have gained experience with teamwork and leadership along the way during my time on-site.
I enjoy weaving complex stories, and initiating ones. Writing documents has always been fun for me, I've written a few, mostly templates for Dr. Maria.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:
- Carrying out Investigations given to them by O5
- Approving Documents
- Authorise a sweep of D-Block
- Able to provide D-class with work permits
- Observe areas within site , make reports
- Enforce O5 Orders and act as their right hand
- Help with certain tasks for A-1
Why do you wish to become an Overseer Assistant?:
This site, it's a fascinating place isn't it?
I hope to contribute to the creation of compelling roleplay scenarios and to engage more deeply in the stories that unfold on the site. Above all, I want to stay informed about day-to-day happenings within other players on site and become more involved within each and every department. I view this as a valuable learning opportunity in many aspects.
From my experiences roleplaying on Floor 3, I have found it to be an especially intriguing environment. Another motivation for applying is my desire to grow and progress within the roleplay setting. Although I have not previously held any CL4 positions, I am confident in my ability to take on this role and perform it effectively.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Holly Bragg.
165cm, 21 years of age, Caucassian, Female
A d-class. You wouldn't expect it, would you? Thrown into d-block for picking the wrong fights with the wrong people, she was not going to make the same mistake twice. Quickly, she earned a reputation within gensec. Though first just as ' The trustee who gets a lot of permits ' eventually, that evolved into ' the one trusted d-class '
Before all of that, however, an accident occurred—unfortunate, yet seemingly inevitable. A rogue researcher, a chemical test gone wrong. She has since recovered and remains fully sane, which is what matters most.
She worked hard to build connections, spent time around Medical Dep. Director Khori, Medical Dep. Director Zoey.. Consultant Greg Vanderboobin....Many of the combat medics. She got to know Security Chief Marrio, Security Chief Jaffar.. Learned from all of them about the site.. Though with each day feeling like a gamble on whether she would see the next. Through a mix of luck and intelligence, she managed to navigate her circumstances. Forming relationships came surprisingly easily when one refrained from hostility or threats; in doing so, she quickly learned just how low the bar was for many within the site.
Eventually, she made a decision that would change the course of her life.
When Scott de Jong lost his vision, assisting him seemed like a standard assignment—another work permit upon the request of the Executive Researcher, just slightly more significant than usual. She helped him navigate daily tasks, until the day he received a call.
“There are some people who want to see me in my office,” he murmured. “They say it’s urgent.”
The Diver.
Or at least individuals likely connected to him. They asked strange questions. She remained present as they spoke to Scott, a chill running down her spine as they conversed between eachother in a language neither she or scott recognised. From there, everything only deteriorated.
She met -7 then. That was when they discovered that after an infobreach, shortly after the meeting O-1 had issued Class-B amnestics alongside Class-E’s due to an administrative error by a private. The decision that followed was swift: upon a volunteer from Ethics, class X was administered.
Being Class-X’d was agonizing—far beyond what simple words could convey.
But she said what she needed to, and since her placement with scott did not seem temprorary, -7 made the order for her to remain in the know. For now..
Holly was placed temporarily in the Medbay bunks, continuing to serve as Scott’s assistant while being thrust into an entirely new world: an anomaly with influence over the entire site, a cult forming around him, and those working to oppose him. She remembered everything—everything previously taken from her, and far more. She learned of the Infinite Library, knew of O-1 and A-1, and yet she remained true to her reputation, sharing nothing she shouldn’t.
Naturally, a D-Class sleeping in medical quarters raised suspicion. She endured many doubtful stares and felt guilty for repeatedly having to call someone of higher authority to confirm her stay there. A simple “I’ve been permitted” was never enough coming from her—but from someone else, it suddenly was.
So, she stands there, currently, with a world of possibility at her feet. This situation isn't quite normal after all.
