Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I am applying to be a medical consultant because I wish to progress further in the Medical department, I have commited pretty much all of my time to the medical department and always wanted to be a part of it. Medical roleplay is something that always stuck out to me and something I enjoyed, I have a great passion for it and for this department and I want to help it improve in any way I can. I know I might be a bit of a wildcard or an unknown applicant but I have seen alot of this deparment and want to put as much commitment into it as possible and make it the best it can be, I think there is a wonderful leadership team and I aspire to be a part of that.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- I think what makes me suitable for medical consultant is that I am a very active member of the medical department and I feel I have shown my commitment to the team and my abilities through everything I do. I am activily advocating for more involvment with the medical department and im always trying to get people come and see the medbay and have some roleplay with us. I am a level headed person, I'm not the most by the books person and while some people might see that as a negative I think there is times and places were being serious is not the right approach and I feel I can bring that balance to the MLT and be a voice of reason. I am a good diplomat, I dont lose my head and feel I have a good relation with every department and im able to maintain this, I want to please everyone and I do my best to do this.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- I am going to explain a nice and easy procedure an ECT! ECT's are preformed after a person is exposed to an anomolius object or entity and is expericing some kind of symptoms from that (eg. Someone looks at the book of every diseases and gets lung cancer) They are brought into medbay by a guard if they are a D-Class (which in this case they should be) I explain to them that they need to take a lay down on this machine and that it is used to fix any kind of symptoms they are experiencing. I ask for the patients consent, this is a very important step when dealing with an ECT. The ECT machine works its magic which usually takes about 10-15 seconds. I ask the patient to stand up and do a little stretch to make sure that he is okay, I ask if he is feeling any better and we go from there. Usually after this they are escorted away by the guards and taken to D-Block but if something was still wrong we would obviously go from there.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- I feel the responsibilities of the consultants are pretty clear, They are incharge of making sure anyone who is a trainee - Sr. Doctor is doing their job correctly and providing any kind of advice or training when necessary. They are responsible for making sure medbay is running smoothly and that there is no delays in anyone recieving medical treatment and that everyone is recieving an excellent grade of treatment. They are responsible for training the Trainees and making sure they are ready to recieve their medical license and feel confident and capable enough to practice as doctors. They are also responsible for any external communication with any other departments and making sure there is clear and good communication between them aswell as, making sure relations are as good as they can be or trying to improve them if they are not.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Jake James is a Sr. Doctor who has risen through the ranks, He commited his whole life to being a doctor and ever since being a child always dreamed of being one. Both of his parents had jobs in the medical field which gave him the ambition to become one. He has seen alot in his time here at the facility and has commited alot of time to the psychological aspect of care, He takes peoples wellbeing and mental health especially serious and conducts evaluations on the regular. He is an individual who doesnt let anything get the better of them and is always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it regardless of who they are, all he cares about is the health of others rather than himself.
