Why are you applying for Site Advisor?:
I have been very eager to start trying to play more administrative roles, as I feel I have gotten to a point where combative jobs aren't quite my focus anymore. I'm applying for Site Advisor specifically because it is perfect for what I want to do. I want to liaise and learn the management procedures of the server, and this is the natural step. I adore liaising with departments and having meetings, and I yap an incredible amount.

What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
I feel with my experience as an OSA and a GOC CPT, that I have sufficient experience to manage and give orders when required. This is both in a combative and an administrative/passive sense. I've done quite well in these roles, and I hope the past predicts the future. I've pushed for roleplay on both of these roles and delegated quite well where needed for it. In general, I believe I am better in a non-combative environment, and my skills with inter-personal chatter, debate, etc. will come in handy to the Site Administration team.

What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
  • They appoint Department Directors and MTF Commanders (with the exception of AO and FCOM's respective departments of Research and ISD)
  • Review departments, and help where necessary.
  • Authorisation of part-site closure, as well as things that go up on-site such as posters.
  • Authorisation of AA
  • Conducting employment hearings when demotions are challenged (Seen this one!)
  • Management of emergencies , as well as Site Policy with FCOM
  • Liaising with DEA for GOI relations
  • Liaising with FCOM for their delegated duties down to Site Administration
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Étienne Deschamps was born on June 6th, 1991 to a middle class family in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He attended a private school and, for most of his formative years, simply cruised through that education. It wasn't too exemplary, but the noteworthy events that formed his interests were in debate classes as well as mock United Nations debates. These were enjoyable to him, and it clearly had an effect long after they had ended in his school years. As he graduated with a PhD in Management Science at SBM ITB, he sought management positions in local research institutes, eventually coming across the anomalous in a slightly unconventional way.

The Ocean Tracking Network, of which Étienne was a project manager for, had located an oceanic anomaly encompassing a cave system in the Hudson Bay, of which it seemed that many of the usual predators in the area would become incredibly docile, and almost subservient to humans in the area. While examining it, the OTN found that it was related to a set of crystals in the cave system of an unknown material, of which his team found that the quartz crystals in the area had an anomalous effect relating to Piezoelectric Neuroresonance. Before he could get a full study out, the Foundation had caught wind of it due to agents already working in the institute, and met with Étienne to slowly nudge the project into obscurity, to make it easier to contain and prevent civilian knowledge of it.

Étienne was working closely with the agents, keeping fewer and fewer non-Foundation personnel in the loop on the project, before a tipping point where it was only himself and a few inserted Foundation agents, as well as some researchers the Foundation also wanted to recruit. In one fell swoop, these researchers were given research positions regarding oceanic anomalies in the world, and he was offered a position by one Lynne Kessler, to fill a gap in project management that nobody really wanted to take up. Sending him to Site-65.

This work is not too different from his work at the OTN, albeit the anomalous world has its differences. His interpersonal communication skills are very good, and he seems capable of the duties of Site Administration after some training. Running a site is different to running a project, but the core qualities are there. As stated by Kessler to Site Administration:

To: Director Al-Qadar, Site-65

From: Dr. Kessler

Subject: OTN Site Advisor Candidate – Étienne Deschamps

I believe bringing Deschamps into the fold is a good idea, even now. He has successful projects under his belt, managerial qualities that could be useful to research, and he talks to people. He's damn good at talking to people sometimes too. He hasn't administrated any facilities himself, but his work speaks for himself, he'll be able to.

Following psychological vetting, he was determined to be quite stable, with no known medical or psychological issues. Following his employment, he'll be watched for any change, however everything seems nominal.

You're a nice guy and all, Erebos, but I just don't think you've got the time for this kind of commitment. Your VTime isn't really up to par. I hope you understand that this is a full time position, not just some joke role you pick up. Neutral for now, please get your time up to 21 days and you might get a full +Support.

+Support, excellent next step for you dude, I think you've definitely got Site Command potential. I would love to see what you can do in SA, good luck.
