Why are you applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador?

I am applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador because this is a position I have looked up to and wanted to become for the time I have played this server. Ambassadors are role models for Internal Affairs Agents and this is something that I have recognized during my time as an Agent: in my case, I would like to take on this role to also be a role model and help others. I think the Internal Affairs Department can be very confusing upon entry as an Agent, and throughout my time as an Agent I've had colleagues come up to me asking questions about the Foundation Legal Codex, and I have been happy to help as I could empathize with their struggles. I think this skill can be taken up during my time as an Ambassador and would allow me to excel in my role of helping Agents and Operatives. Ambassadors and Directors have viewed this during my lectures on training Internal Affairs Agents and my explaining codes of the Foundation Legal Codex to my peers.

Furthermore, I am applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador because of the community within the department. I feel since interacting properly with the Internal Affairs Department I have been able to fit in and talk to the Agents and Ambassadors in a friendly way, and this is something I seek and assess when considering which role to take. Due to my ability to get along with the people around me, I feel this position is something that I would value, as I could spend my time completing my duties talking to someone who keeps me motivated and laughing.

Finally, I think that this position could be a gateway for many other positions across the server: while I do plan on expanding across my opportunities, I do plan on sticking with Internal Affairs for a long time, and this won't be a temporary job offering if this position is given to me. I believe that Internal Affairs Ambassador will provide me with the experience and broad skills field needed for many other roles that I aspire to take on.

What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?

First off, I think my experience across the server will be an attractive feature for why I am suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador. During my time within Mobile Task Force Omega-1, I joined the Prosectors Team, while I won't go into too much detail about the duties provided to me there, I took on cases for gathering evidence for tribunals. This position came with a lot of trust from my Commissioned Officers and therefore I think that is something that would allow me to stand out from other candidates for this role. In addition to this, I have prior experience with Clearance 4 Positions, as I was a Medical Consultant for about a month or two. During my time as a Medical Consultant, I made a variety of professionally formatted documents for the department and also ran the sub-unit KS-1. With these two positions of experience, I think it would allow me to excel in my role as an Internal Affairs Ambassador, as I am already aware of the responsibilities of a Clearance 4 personnel and have experience in tribunal cases and gathering evidence, which can be applied to official Internal Affairs investigations.

Moreover, I believe my experience across the Internal Affairs department would make me suitable for the role. Being a part of the Ambassador Training Program for Agents to learn the ways of an Ambassador has allowed me to get an insight into what the role is like and if I am ready to handle the responsibilities entrusted to Ambassadors. I believe during this time I have demonstrated that I am capable of taking on such a role. I have been able to complete a total of 3 lectures, training 6 people in the department now, as they all passed their entrance examination. In addition, I have been able to work on three active investigations, gathering evidence for each one and supporting the Ambassadors and Directors of Internal Affairs when necessary. This work has been easy to handle and hasn't been stressful on me, I believe this is a sign that I can take on the workload of Ambassador.

  • 3 investigations taken part in,
  • 4 internal affairs induction lectures hosted
  • 15 arrest reports written

How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?

In the past few days, I have written a total of 15 arrest reports, all have been approved and in perfect format. I think what makes a document good is good, consistent coverage across the whole situation, and also relevant information added between sentences. I also value a format in a document as it keeps it well organized and readable.

What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?

Internal Affairs Ambassadors in roleplay have a variety of responsibilities to keep the department functioning and keep the foundation secure from rule violations. First off, Internal Affairs Ambassadors take on the duty of hosting lectures to train new Agents and Operatives in the Department and ensure their knowledge is of expectation. For this, they will have to read across a variety of slides and answer questions, ensuring the trainees understand every bit of information being given to them. At the end, they will take a quiz and the Ambassador must feed back from their mistakes, as you can always learn from your mistakes. In addition to all this, Ambassadors must make sure Agents understand everything beyond lectures. If ever an Agent has a question about the Foundation Legal Codex, their duties, or the handbook of the Internal Affairs Department, the Ambassador can answer and inform the Agent of what they should be doing.

Another duty Internal Affairs Ambassadors must take on is managing Agents. Internal Affairs Ambassadors must assign positions to Internal Affairs Agents: Checkpoint Charlie, Light Containment Zone, Interrogation Room, Internal Affairs Office, Entrance Zone, Heavy-Containment Zone or to set up a checkpoint across the site. This keeps the Agents organized and well spread across the foundation to ensure all areas are covered and watched by Agents. Within this, Ambassadors can also feedback to Agents: praise and punishment. They can provide credit to the Agents who are doing well and inform Agents who are partaking in misconduct of their wrongdoing, and issue punishments.

Finally, Internal Affairs Ambassadors are expected to be able to prosecute the following when necessary: Mobile Task Force Officers, Junior Clearance 4 Personnel, Internal Security Department Enlisted, Internal Affairs and External Affairs Agents and Operatives. Ambassadors may prosecute these positions in multiple ways. One may be official investigations, in which Ambassadors are free to start without permission, but just require messaging Directors about it starting. The other way may be outright arresting them, which is less common in cases of Clearance 4 personnel.

Please give some lore about your Internal Affairs Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Chapter 1, Childhood:

Vinnie Cassius spent his childhood in the tranquil suburbs of England. Born to a negligent, criminal father who abused both Vinnie and his mother, Bianca, he harbored a vigorous motivation to overthrow patriarchy. Rebellious towards his father and courteous to his mother, conflict was inherent in his childhood. With each instance of domestic violence towards Bianca Cassius, Vinnie's detestation grew. After years of opposition against Antonio Cassius, Vinnie took action and filed a domestic violence report with the Greater Manchester Metropolitan Police. When Antonio was removed from their semi-detached family house by the authorities, Vinnie became his mother's champion and his father's nemesis.

Years passed by without Antonio in the household; by this point, Vinnie Cassius had turned 14. Bianca had found a new boyfriend, Detective Steven DeMarco. Vincent had idolised this detective after he took Antonio away in handcuffs, emancipating him from his autocratic father: though he was still vigilant of him due to his childhood trauma.

Vincent, now 16, attended a Metropolitan Police Cadet Force every Saturday to practice discipline and integrity, following in Steven’s footsteps. The timeframe till Vincent’s GCSE examinations shortened, and post-16 education had to be considered. With one goal in mind, he followed his conscience.
Maths -> 6
English Language -> 6
English Literature -> 7
Biology -> 8
Chemistry -> 7
Physics -> 8
Psychology -> 9
Law -> 9
History -> 7

In pursuit of helping those who lack a voice, he chose a set of A-levels that aligned with the values of the job he dreamed of having: a police detective. He chose to study Law, Criminology, and Theology. He could apply both his Law and Criminology to his future police work, and use theology as a people-skills subject, the skill to understand others' scenarios, which could drive him up the ranks of the Police Force.

Relationships strengthened between Steven and Vinnie as they began to spend time with each other, and as such he gave word of approval to his mother. While at a family meal to celebrate the success in Vinnie’s GCSE examinations, Steven crouched to one knee and displayed a rather large but beautiful, diamond ring and placed it upon his mother’s ring finger. Overjoyed by this, Bianca cried uncontrollably as Vinnie hugged both Steven and his mother.
Criminology -> A
Law -> B
Theology -> A*

With exceptional A-Level scores, he knew where to direct his career. He applied and was accepted for a Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which would provide him 3 years of Police Experience and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Professional Policing Practice. Upon arrival at his family home, he saw Detective Steven and firmly shook his hand as they both nodded, knowing Vinnie had made it.

Chapter 2, Apprenticeship:

Vinnie's designation officer throughout his Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship was Sergeant Forrest Gillett, a humble and optimistic man who preached about equity in any possible scenario. His first day took place in Lecture Hall B of the Greater Manchester Police Training Compound on the 7th of September, □□□□. In the small groups of people attending, Vinnie was easily separated from the rest when being the first chosen to introduce themselves and state their aspirations. "I'm, Vinnie... Cassius. Ye that's me, I just want to help people who suffer and can't speak up, my mother has been there before."
"Brave lad!", Sergeant Forrest replied. From this moment, there was a click between Sergeant Forrest and Vinnie: they're morale views had aligned.

"Listen up lads, this is your first uniformed patrol" Sergeant Forrest exclaimed to the 4 Constables-In-Training: all 4 stood to attention. "We're patrolling the streets of Piccadilly, let's move!"
"Yes, Sir", Vincent replied enthusiastically. His training had kicked in and he was ready to prove himself to his Sergeant fully, to gain his trust, he knew perfectly that a friend of superiority would gain him a good standing in the Police Department. "Marking the first uniform patrol for Vinnie Cassius, 3rd of January, □□□□." the sergeant spoke to his radio.

Nothing really that notable occurred during Vinnie's three years of the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, just lots of lectures and uniformed patrols under supervision, but he understood that as soon as he was out he was going to apply for the Detectives Division. He was acing all the exams and was in the good books of Sergeant Forrest and the Superintendent overseeing the program, and for all they cared, he was going to be a good officer in the future.

"Good job, Vinnie. You passed, 94.56% on the examination, couldn't have seen a better score in years, honestly." Forrest says as he reaches out for a firm handshake with Vinnie. "I hereby award you a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Policing Practise and you have officially aced your Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship. 3 years of hard work have paid off, good luck."
"Thank you, Sir. You've been a great coach, couldn't thank you enough" Vinnie said with exceptional amounts of gratitude, raising his hand to his head in the salute position.

With immense pride, Vinnie sat at his desk in the police compound, clicking the link to the 'Detective Interest Form'. He filled it out to the best of his ability, adding immense detail to every question, to impress the supervising and commanding officers. He included his prior experience throughout his BSc, which would allow him to stand out from other candidates.

Over the loudspeaker of the police compound, "Constable Vinnie Cassius to Superintendent Dykes office, please" could be heard. With his chest eye, and his arms behind his back at ease, he stepped in."Evening, Constable. Take a seat, glad to have you hear." as he pointed at the seat. "As you know I'm Superintendent Dykes, in charge of detective recruitment. I'm glad to inform you we would love to have you on the team." Elated by this result, Vinnie makes his way home to meet Detective Steven as soon as possible. Their eyes locked, and they immediately met with a strong, loving hug.

Chapter 3, Detective Cassius:

Detective Cassius worked a multitude of cases across his career in the Greater Manchester Metropolitan Police Detective Force, solving many homicide, domestic violence, and missing children cases. Vinnie loved this role and looked forward to being able to work and see his colleagues. He would often work overtime to spend time with his peers and get recognition from Superintendent Dykes, as he aspired to become a Sergeant and join the Special Cases Team, a strictly handpicked team of detectives tasked with solving the hardest of cases presented to the Greater Manchester Police Force.

29th of August, □□□□. Vinnie sat down on his desk to be greeted with a file labeled 'Case #0545'. He pondered upon the front of the file and opened it, to be greeted with 'Domestic Violence case, mother beaten by father: mother refuses to make statements out of fear, the child made the official report to begin the case'. Tears instantly left his eyes, remembering the cruelty his father put his family through. This is what Vinnie signed up to the police for, to change lives and to give people a voice that can't speak. He instantly prioritized this case and began work. Sean Lowry was the accused and was to be investigated for one count of domestic violence and another count of child abuse. With experience in mind, Vinnie knew how to directly handle this, and within three days of the case being presented, he had an official warrant to enter the home and investigate. With his pistol at low ready and tailing behind the other Constables, he charged in and caught Sean in the act. Bingo! That was one way to get recognition in the Police, the case had almost been presented as a test of Vinnie's skills. Returning to his desk, Superintendent Dykes approached and firmly shook his hand, congratulating him on such a good case solved in such little time.

His superiors reported that Vinnie was an excellent detective for the 2 years he served in the role. He finished cases exceptionally fast at an extremely high quality and won the Detective of the Month title 8 times across the 24 months. He was liked amongst his co-workers and was entrusted with the hardest and most confidential of cases.

Over the loudspeaker, Vinnie could hear, "Vinnie to Superintendent Dykes Office, please." It was like a flashback to when he was accepted for Detective. Once again, with his chest slightly out, he stepped enthusiastically into the office and sat down. "You've heard of the Special Cases Team, we're looking for some new operatives. I've trusted you with a great deal of cases, but these will be a whole new world of cases. You think you got what it takes, Cassius?" This day was a great day for Vinnie. Instead of going home to his flat that night, he returned to his mother's home. They sat down and watched a movie and had champagne in celebration, and Detective Steven just looked at him with pride.

Chapter 4, Special Cases Team

Vinnie soon realized that the Special Cases Team wasn't a case-by-case basis thing, and in fact, the whole team would be working on one case together usually, one at a time. These cases were beyond conventional investigators, and extremely hard and detailed, some taking years to solve. He sat down at his first briefing and the Superintendent spoke out loudly, "We could have a possible regicide on our hands lads, Kevin Banks is the guy we're looking into, but this could be anyone. We need to locate who this is immediately before it's too late." He loved the thrill of the team and was ready to join in and solve the hardest cases the police force may have seen.

After tapping some phone lines in the investigation of the regicide case, he located a number that had mentioned a safe house and how they would use this to get away without a chase. He instantly traced this phone and entered it into the police computer. A profile had been loaded up onto the screen. Jesse Dykes had made the message: the occupation of the suspect, superintendent...

Vinnie was unsure of how he should react to the information he was just provided with, so he just wrote it all up onto one document and published it to the Greater Manchester Police Commissioner. He was instantly brought into the police headquarters to discuss his findings with the commissioner in person, and they spent twelve hours investigating everything about the case. It was revealed that 8 of the 25 members of the Special Cases Team were planning to commit this regicide and they planned to send the other 17 on a blind goose chase for the suspect they named Kevin Banks. It was also revealed that they planned to use a briefcase device to complete this murder.

With many thanks to Vinnie, he exposed corruption and the Special Cases Team fell under new leadership. With lots of praise came lots of new enemies, and many hated the detective for what he had done. He decided to resign from the Metropolitan Police for his safety, which was granted honorably by his superiors.

Chapter 5, A Run-in With the Anomalous

Unemployed and alone, Vinnie knew he had enemies and he had to lay low for his safety. Through his weekly shopping for food he would remain hooded as advised by his superiors before leaving, "Superintendent Dykes has way too many connections lad, stay safe." He lived by those words from then on and remained with his head down.

One night while sleeping, Vinnie heard a noise in his flat. He instantly woke up, loaded his M1911 pistol, and moved through his house, ready to take out anyone who was coming for him. Flashlight in one hand, pistol in the other, he cleared rooms as taught in armed police training. Tick, tock, tick, tock.. It echoed through his apartment. No one was in the flat. But something was... Something unusual lay across his kitchen floor. It was a briefcase, that looked like the one he investigated when taking down Superintendent Dykes. He opened the briefcase with caution and fear. With shaky hands, he fully revealed the briefcase's organs. Inside was a field of distorted view and a note with the name, "Vinnie Cassius" written on it. He instantly picked up his phone and called the commissioner, "Sir, remember that briefcase we looked at. It's in here, it's that weapon they planned on using. But all it has is a note. With my name on, in some sort of field of distortion. I don't know what it is but I need backup." The phone call ended with no reply...

Within 10 minutes of the phone call, a group of armed men charged through to my flat exclaiming, "For your safety back away from the briefcase." Vinnie was blindfolded and cuffed, thrown into a van, and drove off. He could make it out he was in a van but couldn't make out where he was going. In confusion, he conformed and laid back, letting the next few moments decide his fate...

Chapter 6, The SCP Foundation

Vinnie woke up in an isolated room in some compound he never stepped foot in. From the acoustics of the compound, he could recognize he was underground, so he inferred that was some secret organization. The door opened and a man dressed in a black suit stepped in. "Evening, Vinnie. The item found in your flat was an anomalous item that was sent out to kill you. We understand the details of your situation and who sent it out and I must say, we are rather impressed with your track record. You've encountered the anomalous there's no doubt about that but we wouldn't just recruit some regulars, but it seems that this attempted murder could be an opportunity for you. Instead of wasting our resources to wipe your memory, how about we take you on as an Agent? You'd join the Department of Internal Affairs and enforce the law in the world of anomalous activity. What do you say?". Vinnie was too shocked to even reply, so he just returned with a nod.

"Agent Vinnie Cassius, listen up, I am the Director of Internal Affairs, call me Saxo if you like. This will be your induction to my department, the foundation holds some weird shit but you gotta get used to it. Accept this, you won't know everything and that's the end of it. Your role is to enforce the Foundation Legal Codex at whatever cost, to keep the foundation in order. Here is a copy of the legal codex and our handbook, it's pretty simple and from your track record there's not much I wouldn't expect of you to know. Here's a P90 and a CZ 75-B, use this with caution, and don't get yourself killed. Follow our codes, if you heard Code 1 and 5, get to a shelter: you don't wanna die do you eh? Code black you get the fuck out of here. The longer you stay in this place the more creepy shit you see so prepare to see it, some things are cool some things are outright disgusting. Good luck."

Vinnie's next few months around the facility were pretty standard, he did what was expected of him and didn't have any negative reports. He got used to the fact he was living a lie quite fast and got used to the anomalies, which was nice to see. His previous training allowed him to excel in the Department of Internal Affairs, and he was recognized for great work quite often by his Ambassadors. He carried out arrests with the utmost maturity and professionalism, leaving bias away from all situations. Soon the Ethics Committee caught onto his hard work and sent a letter of accommodation to Director Saxo, congratulating Vinnie on his hard work.

From now, it has been two years since Vinnie Cassius first joined the foundation. He has proved himself exceptionally, and the Ethics Committee decided they could use me for something bigger than just an Agent. He was called into the Ethics Committee office. In there stood one Ethics member, two assistants, and Director Saxo. They handed me a letter of promotion and told me I was moving up to Ambassador. Vinnie smiled while signing this letter, and entered his new office with pride, ready to take on this new position.
