For how long have you played on CG SCP: I apparently joined around 4 years ago, surprisingly, but I have been properly playing for around three-four months now. Playtime Here
Age: 21
In what country are you located?: United Kingdom
Time zone: BST
Character name(s): Walter Villiane, Adam Rhodes & Nick Taylor
Civilian name: Big Walter
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: Executive Researcher & SCP 096
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: Nope, fully clean record.
I am applying for Executive Researcher because, after spending time both inside and outside the department, it has become clear to me that Research is where I belong. I have explored other departments during my time away, including ISD, and while each offered its own strengths and experiences, none carried the same sense of purpose or long-term fulfilment that Research has always provided for me.
One of my core motivations is that I believe the previous Directors were genuinely steering Research in a positive direction. Their priorities, structure, and philosophy aligned closely with my own. I want to maintain and build upon what they established, not replace it. Their style is something I deeply respected, and I want to expand on it while contributing my own approach.
If accepted, I would like to reintroduce and expand several initiatives, including:
• Continuing development of my G.A.R.F sub-department, providing structured project management to help researchers organise, track, and complete work effectively.
• Expanding the branding and iconography previously developed, giving Research a stronger and more unified visual identity through posters, signage, and thematic design.
• Introducing incentives and initiatives aimed at increasing engagement and providing clear, achievable goals for researchers at all levels.
• Raising the overall standard of documentation so that it becomes something researchers take pride in, rather than view as a formality.
• Encouraging genuine creativity in experimentation, reporting, and long-form RP, ensuring work reflects thought, effort, and originality.
• Fostering an environment where quality contributions are recognised, valued, and celebrated.
These aren’t surface-level additions; they’re part of a broader goal to raise the value of documentation, foster genuine creativity, and encourage researchers to take pride in the work they produce.
Since returning to the server, I have taken the time to speak with members of the community about their experiences with Research and what they feel the department needs moving forward. I value collaboration and communication highly, and these will remain central to how I operate as an Executive Researcher.
Ultimately, I am applying because Research still holds the same appeal and importance to me that it always has. After trying other paths, it is clear that nothing else carries the same charm or sense of belonging. I want to help protect the progress already made, strengthen the department’s identity, and contribute meaningfully to its future. Research deserves leadership that is present, invested, and passionate, and I am ready to fulfil that role once again.
I believe I am suitable for the Executive Researcher position because my approach to the department has always extended far beyond simply “running tests.” Throughout my time in Research, I have consistently invested myself in building systems, improving standards, supporting other researchers, and shaping the department into something people want to be part of. I have always taken on a leadership role naturally, even when I did not formally hold the rank.
During my time as an Executive Researcher, I was extremely active within the department, assisting with documentation, guiding newer researchers, brainstorming project ideas, and maintaining strong relations with other branches of the site. My focus has always been to make Research organised, enjoyable, and meaningful. Even after stepping away, I continued discussing Research with others at length, sharing my thoughts, processes, and ideas because I genuinely care about the department’s health and direction. Spending time in other departments, including ISD, ultimately reinforced that Research is where my interest and strengths lie.
What sets me apart as a candidate is that I bring both creative and structural value:
• I am heavily documentation-driven, always pushing for better writing, stronger organisation, and higher standards across the board.
• I created branding, iconography, and posters for Research, helping give the department a distinct identity.
• I developed project-management ideas designed to make larger tests, cross-tests, and collaborative work more organised and rewarding.
• I consistently engage with researchers at all clearance levels, ensuring they feel supported and motivated rather than overlooked.
• I rely on communication when dealing with difficult players, often redirecting disengagement into productive research by giving purpose and guidance.
• I have a strong sense of what makes RP meaningful, and I naturally guide others toward deeper, more considered interactions and documentation.
I also believe my return provides a valuable perspective. Time spent outside the department has allowed me to better identify what is working, what is slipping, and what needs attention. I understand the importance of maintaining the foundations built by previous leadership while contributing constructively within that framework.
Research benefits from leadership that is active, invested, and capable of bringing people together. I have consistently shown that I can raise standards, support researchers, and contribute to an environment where RP can thrive, even during periods of instability.
In short, I am suitable because I care, I have experience, I understand the department deeply, and I have the ability to contribute meaningfully as an Executive Researcher.
I have written 4 excellent-graded documents, co-signed with my long-term collaborator Half. An excellent document is immersive, original, and demonstrates both a strong understanding of SCP lore and thoughtful in-universe logic. It should include:
I think, altogether, the most important responsibility of being a higher-up in general, especially regarding the Research department, is to make sure everyone is having fun and actively engaging in the aspects of research they enjoy, and to try your best to facilitate that. If a researcher comes up to you with an idea that's out of the ordinary, you should make your best attempt to see what you can do for them. Never try to impede others' creativity.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I have written 4 excellent-graded documents, co-signed with my long-term collaborator Half. An excellent document is immersive, original, and demonstrates both a strong understanding of SCP lore and thoughtful in-universe logic. It should include:
- Clear methodology
- Well-structured formatting
- Realistic results and conclusions that relate to events within the experiment
- Optional: diagrams, incident logs, related photographs and follow-up proposals
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?
- Oversee and assist researchers with document creation, experiment proposals, and proper test procedures.
- Ensure that researchers follow the server and Foundation protocol at all times, especially during SCP testing.
- Grade documents and provide feedback to help others improve.
- Maintain professionalism and act as a role model for new and existing researchers.
- Organise and approve large-scale or high-risk experiments.
- Maintain good relations with other departments and site administrators.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in.
