Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?:
My main motivation in applying for Medical Consultant is that firstly I seek to broaden my experience within the server as I have believe I have hit a plateau in my experience, especially within the medical department, so seeking this role would generally give me more options to roleplay or see another side of the server I do not see so often.
My second motivation in applying for this role is also my endearment towards the medical department as the 4 months I have been playing on the server, majority of the time was spent with people in the Medical Department. I would like to be able to contribute into the medical department in a more official and meaningful way.
And thirdly, I believe this role would allow me to advocate for Combat Medics better as most people would know me as one of the active Combat Medics, and I would like to support the Combat Medics by being a voice for them or support their roleplay experience by formalizing some process / procedure of roleplay to a document so there could be future training for Combat Medics other than the mundane operation of all Doctors/Sr Doctors/Combat Medic go through.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
I believe I am suitable for Medical Consultant as I am familiar with their some duties already. Currently in the medical department I am a "Combat Medic Specialist" which one of the duties includes the responsiblity to host tryout / train people for the Combat Medic role. There were also a few occasions when no Medical Consultant were available and I step up (within my "legal"/clerance level boundaries) to run the Medbay.
I am also a thorough person, I believe document / database handling of the medical department would not be any difficulty for me at all.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
I have always been interested in trauma care, especially on combat medicine, so I will explain the MARCH acronym (and what to do in it) found in the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) procedure. In short, the MARCH acronym is a step by step procedure on how to treat a patient who has just been shot or generally, in a bad shape.
- Massive hemorrhaging, this means when you have a patient the first thing you should do is to check for their bleeding and then stop it. One useful way to identity whether a patient is bleeding or not is to conduct a "blood sweep" which is where you take a disposable glove, and you literally rub down / sweep the patients body all around (armpits, under legs, back, etc) and pull your hand out to see if your glove has blood or not. Once bleeding as been identity apply pressure either by a tourniquet (or hand) to stop the blood flow and wrap a bandage / dressing around the wound to completely stop blood from flowing out of the body.
- Airway managment, this means you need to check the mouth and the nose of the patient to ensure that there is no blockage. Usually within a high stress situation or trauma, patient may have their airway clog such as from vomitting or a mix of vomit and blood. To clear it, use gravity by tilting their head OR by hand or better, using an Accuvac or any sort of Suction device to remove the liquid within the mouth. Now to ensure the airway REMAINS open, for the nose, there is the Nasopharyngeal airway (NPA) tube that once lubed, can be stuff into the nose of the patient, however if head trauma is noticable, this should be avoided. Lastly for the mouth, if the patient keeps vomiting after clearange or is unconscious, a Laryngeal tube (LT) (aka King LT) can be inserted into the mouth, and inflated with nothing but air to ensure the airway remains clear.
- Respiratory, check whether the "box" (from the nose down to the belly botton) of the patient have had any wounds (gunshot / laceration), if so, apply occlusive dressing in each wound and listen whether there are any noise, if there isnt any suck nor blow sounds, you have succeeded.
- Circulation, check for pulse and blood pressure. For pulse, a simple way is put your fingers on the wrist or neck of the patient to feel a pulse. If there isnt any pulse, either do a CPR or use a AED. Difference between CPR and AED is that while the CPR restarts the heart rate, the AED "jumpstarts" it. If the pulse is too high, give drugs such as adenosine. Now for blood pressure, in a situation where luxary isnt the time, the best way to determine their blood pressure is to LOOK at the patient, if their skin change colour, or they look too pale, or even you feel their body and its cold, mostl likely they have bled out alot of blood, give them saline to increase / stabilize their blood pressure
- Head Injuries & Hypothermia, on the field, head injuries cannot really be treated seriously except bandaging it, or an extra note of caution when transporting the patient. Now on hypothermia, where the body gets too cold, usually by blood lost, you would need to warm up the patient any way possible, this can be from giving them a winter jacket, to a heated blanket, or sandwiching the patient between two other people so that their bodyheat transfer or atleast keeps the patient warm temporary until better solution is found.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- Host training for medical license and Combat Medic whitelist.
- Manage the Day-to-Day operation in the Medical Bay (from managing medical staff to ensuring that there is enough cures for the common illness)
- Keep account to all medical related documentation.
- Assist the other department when medical related questions / issues comes up.
- Be a representative of the Medical Department.

Yu Ringo at one point of his life was pursuing the path of justice and law, however due to lack of funding to enroll in a Law School, Yu Ringo enlisted into the military as a temporary set back as well as pursing option #2. However option #2 would back fire in a way that Yu Ringo would not go anywhere closer to trying to enroll back to Law School as he found employed with the SCP Foundation.
At first, stationed on Site-06-3 in Lorraine, France as a Combat Medic, he transferred to the brand new Site-65 to help its Medical Department as a Combat Medic Specialist. Outside of his employment, he is a firearm enthusiast, he loves to listen to music, and he is a God-fearing man.
