Unable to log in since Garry's Mod update 10/29/24

Always stuck at this scene . I changed multiple settings. After like 5 minutes stuck on this screen. It finally gives me a white screen saying disconnect by timeout. I attempted multiple times in different ways. Always stuck at that moment with weapon skins.

Even uninstalled and reinstalled Garry's Mod. Uninstalled all the Workshop. Then reinstalled workshops.

I run x86-64 when I play Garry's Mod.

Never had an issue in the past. This just started today after Garry's Mod update. I did step by step !digital mentioned on Discord which did not help.

Able to work finally. Had to do FactoryReset-GMod (just open game files from steam). And went into the game. Disable/enable addon (just because). Able to load just fine afterwards. Able to log on UK and US.

Hello, would you be able to elaborate on how you solved this issue, would be much appreicated to see more of what you mean by Factory Reset Gmod, basically a step by step guide

I just right click Garry's Mod from Steam. Browse Local files. And it shows right there the Factory Reset. Don't have to click a folder or anything to find it.

Just remember it does reset all of your settings (graphics and audio) and removes all of your keyboard binds for Garry's Mod. Pretty much make Garry's Mod go back to the first day you bought it. You still keep your favorite servers though (Cloud). Workshop addons that you subscribe will automatically install again when you start the game.

I personally think the recent add to weapon skin is making screen freeze. That just what I think.

I would try to lower your graphic settings. Experiment with it. When I did the Factory Reset. It maxes out my settings.

So, I simply lowered it where it was since my FPS stinks from the very beginning. With except of one or two different possible difference. I recommend that on experiment.

Try Validating your game files
Library, Right click on Garrys Mod, Properties, Installed Files, Verify Integirty of game Files
See if this works. If not you could wipe all your addons or subscriptions, practically a soft reset whilst keeping your settings the same.
Only do this if nothing else works

Step 1: Navigate to Steam/SteamApps/Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/addons
Step 2: Select ALL files within this folder and press "DELETE"

Step 3: Navigate to Steam/SteamApps/Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/cache/workshop
Step 4: Select ALL .gma files (leave the resources folder) and press "DELETE"

Step 5: Navigate to Steam/SteamApps/Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/cache/lua
Step 6: Select ALL files within this folder and press "DELETE"

Step 7: Navigate to Steam/SteamApps/Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/download
Step 8: You guessed it, select ALL files within and press "DELETE"

Step 9: One last time, navigate to Steam/SteamApps/Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/downloadlist
Step 10: Select ALL files within and press "DELETE"
