Why are you applying for Director of Research?
I am applying for Director of Research because I believe I have become a core member of the Research Department. I have developed a strong passion for research largely due to the community and leadership that mentored and supported me.
I want to give back to the community by helping guide research forward. My goal is to continue expanding research through innovative ideas, improvements, and engaging RP scenarios that keep the department active.
I have also contributed to meaningful changes, such as assisting in corrections to SCP-914 restriction policies and improving our documentation systems. As Director, I intend to build on this momentum ensuring Research not only remains active, but continues to grow.
What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
I believe I am well-suited for Director of Research due to my strong communication skills, proven initiative into improving the research department, and my ability to work effectively with others at all clearance levels.

Why are you applying for Director of Research?
I am applying for Director of Research because I believe I have become a core member of the Research Department. I have developed a strong passion for research largely due to the community and leadership that mentored and supported me.

As Director of Research, it is crucial to foster an environment where everyone can feel comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas. I have already demonstrated this capability through my interactions and presence within the Research Department..
Overall, my ability to communicate effectively, identify and solve department issues, and support researchers at all clearance levels makes me a strong candidate for Director of Research. I am not only focused on maintaining the department, but actively improving it in ways that are practical, sustainable, and beneficial to both command and overall RP.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
The Director of Research is responsible for maintaining the health, and activity of the Research Department ensuring it operates at a high standard.
This means working closely with FCOM to develop and review departmental policies that are out of date. Overseeing research tests by reviewing documentation and approving or denying tests.
During emergencies, such as Code 5 or Code Black, the Director of Research will ensures the safe evacuation of all RSD personnel directing them to breach shelter or the EZ Garage.
Lastly, the Director role is to maintain and update the research handbook, ensuring all policies are accurate, and up to date.
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Andrew Snow is from Ontario, Canada. Where he was a member of the National Research Center his field of study was Quantum and Nanotechnologies. During his study the foundation saw the potential of his mind and invited him to Site-65 to work as a researcher. Andrew is very docile and does not like to participate in violence only vowing to carry a pistol when dire situations arise. Andrew would be involved in story lines along the lines of creating an SCP. Testing the potential of information gathering and understanding with the use of SCP to further his knowledge. Causing him to have the reins pulled by higher members for his drastic and scary testing ideas. Lastly Andrew is extremely loyal to the foundation and will be friends with anyone who lets him increase his knowledge and create/test to his heart's content.
Jr Researcher Snow
As a Jr Snow was guided into research by Executive John ‘Bean’ Atkinson. Bean was a rough mentor often beating Snow when he would forget a piece of policy really drilling how RSD works in his head. Bean brought me to 049 CC to conduct my first test being an interview. I could also never forget Forest Green for giving me a very detailed tour probably showing me more then he was supposed to but has gained my respect since.

I knew how everything worked at this point and still would get lost but I was obsessed with SCP-999. I want to make another copy to really push the limits. Everyone would look at me like I'm crazy but I collected 50 Litres of SCP-999 for this purpose. BUT THE DAYM CI KEPT STEALING SCP-294! THE HIGHER UPS DIDN'T EVEN CARE WE LOST IF FOR TWO WEEKS! The Security and retrieval process at Site-65 needs to be rethought out. I also got my gun permit at this time Bean helped guide me through the process. That's also when I met Sammy and Korey… I have gained a fear of short people since.

This is where my career really took a turn for the worse. I was told about the higher ups how we don’t mess with them just follow their rule and stay off their radar…. I did not take them seriously enough. I constantly tested the boundaries for Ideas. What I was allowed to know. I did a test on [REDACTED] My test was innovative and everyone was surprised it worked, even me. It got me on the radar. Later that day I was taken to [REDACTED] Given a job to complete. I wrote up the job and asked for some ideas from my high ranking co-workers. I didn't understand how site-65 worked yet ohh how naive I was. I should never have talked to anyone. I just wanted to make the document good, clean and strong. Well more people caught wind of this test and knowledge spread. I was questioned by a lot of people regarding my test taken back and forth being treated as an object by both sides. Richard treated me well and actually saved me a good number of times, like when I was almost forced to take a psyche Evaluation from Sammy and Korey being forced to carry a pistol. Clearly the Ethics committee liked me and promoted me to Executive Researcher where my life only got more complicated.
Executive Researcher Snow (Before)
This is when people were coming up to me and taking photos of me constantly. It got me paranoid I knew something others didn't. I got scared I didn’t have control anymore that I truly didn’t have free will anymore. Richard noticed me in distress and tried to comfort me and tried to figure out why I was so on edge. I felt alone so I talked to Richard and told him what I thought the pictures were about and his reaction did not calm me down only increased my fears. I tried to lay low after this but It was too late for that. I had proven I knew what I was doing with anomalies. I created a cognitohazard using SCP-914. I wonder if that's still… Never mind that. This is also when me and Executive Josh Blondeou started talking brainstorming tests together and well… I told Josh I had a 662 test planned. Josh laughed and said let's do it! Let's go! Josh led me to HCZ Cross testing where I had SCP-662 placed. During this test we had no security or anyone, just me and Josh. Asking SCP-662 to steal something for me. This then changed the course of my life. I learned about the [REDACTED] . during the test apparently I was being called over comms. People were trying to figure out what I was doing. I kept lying trying to figure a way to talk myself out of what I had just done. A test with no security or supervision now that I look back it is probably best we did that under wraps. Ethics caught on to what I did. Called me into their office. I had no choice but to comply. This made them angry with me… Thankfully no one knows Josh was with me during the test. He got away free. I will not do a test like that again without direct supervision is what I told ethics but I think they know me well enough that I would if I could. Richard always had a close eye on me. He was nice but I know he was doing it just to report back to Ethics. This was also around the time I met another Executive with Richard Daniels. An Executive I will leave out of this file. But this just added to my list of already existing problems with Ethics, Site Inspection, [REDACTED] and now them. I don’t know how I did it but I attracted every anomalous being around the site like they were attracted to me never being given room to breathe. I felt anomalous with everything that would happen to me. Sammy and Korey kept calling me lucky saying today isn't my day you have another purpose. I didn't understand. I was very close with Bean, him being a guiding figure during my time at Site-65. We were going to a SCP-008 test when I was called to talk with someone and well that's the last thing I remember until a month later.

I was transferred back to Site-65 after a month-long vacation. Well needed mental reset. Many things have changed since I was on site. Bean and Adrian are no longer around; they were both really good friends. Richard has been promoted. Josh was DoR just got promoted to Site Advisor. I was then informed by RAISA Officer Lewis that we had to translate some Old Deavatie text. I was the first to get this completed, showing my brain is still as sharp as ever. It talked about sacrifices so I ran tests on the skull with Richards' approval. I am as ready as ever to continue to dedicate my life to Site-65 and the foundation and increase my knowledge.
