Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
I’ve been actively contributing to the medical department and was honored as Medic of the Month. I've received positive feedback from fellow staff and enjoy helping trainees settle into the role.
I wish to take on more responsibility, help shape the department, and guide others as they make their way into our beautiful department.
Also I would argue, that I have strong leadership skills, will keep a cool head in stressful situations, and maintain professionalism during chaotic scenarios.
Taking on the Consultant role would give me the opportunity to help structure and elevate our roleplay even further.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
-I've got a wealth of experience as a Doctor within the Foundation, and I confidently handle both physical and psychiatric evaluations on a daily basis. Whether I'm screening new personnel, clearing staff for active duty, or spotting any behavioral signs that might suggest psychological strain or memetic exposure, I always approach each evaluation with professionalism and care.
-I regularly carry out thorough physical checkups, keep an eye on recovery from injuries, and provide treatments for a variety of conditions—from everyday infections to the aftermath of breaches. On the psychiatric side, I make sure to listen to and assess the mental state of staff, especially after tough events like Keter breaches or high-risk fieldwork. When it's necessary, I also share grounding techniques and suggest a temporary break from duty to ensure the safety of both the individual and their team.
-Alongside my medical expertise, I enjoy teaching others, guiding new medics on how to roleplay detailed procedures, navigate complex medical RP, and grasp the importance of psychological well-being at work. I aim to create a Medbay that's all about learning and growth, while still keeping high standards and a welcoming atmosphere.
This combination of practical skills, leadership, and a genuine passion for medical roleplay makes me a strong fit for the Consultant role.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
I'd like to talk about how I'd perform a shrapnel removal surgery, as it is a common practice for Gensec patients.
First things first, get the patient settled on the surgical table and make sure they’re lying down comfortably.
Next, I clean the wound thoroughly and administer anesthesia to ensure the patient feels no pain during the operation. Comfort and safety always come first.
Then, using forceps, I begin removing the shrapnel pieces one by one. For each attempt, I roll to determine success. If I fail a roll, other medical personnel can assist by rolling as well. If the combined total of our rolls is over 50, we successfully remove the piece together. This makes the procedure more dynamic and involves a learning field for other Doctors.
Once all the shrapnel is out, I apply disinfectants such as ethanol or iodopovidone to sterilize the area. I then begin stitching the wound, rolling again to determine the quality of the stitches, which adds more depth to the RP.
After the procedure, I administer antibiotics to prevent infection and carefully move the patient into post-op observation. I set up follow-up appointments and monitor their vitals to ensure a smooth recovery as that is our main priority.
Once all this is done, I will put the patient under medical observation and give them follow up appointments.
always encourage other doctors—no matter their experience level—to assist or observe. Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves in the OR, and it's a great way to teach and build confidence in others.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Dr. Ashley Archer, formerly a skilled trauma surgeon and researcher at [REDACTED], was recruited by the Foundation after her pioneering work in the field of human physiology—particularly in how it responds to anomalous biological interference. Her curiosity for the unknown, coupled with an unshakable drive to understand the blurred lines between science and the anomalous, caught the attention of Site-[REDACTED]’s Research Division.
Following a near-fatal incident involving SCP-[REDACTED], Ashley underwent a long and grueling recovery. Refusing to back down, she fully transitioned into the Medical Department of Site-[REDACTED], where she honed her expertise in trauma care, surgical procedures, and the treatment of injuries and illnesses caused by anomalous entities.
It was during this period she earned the nickname "Forbidden", a moniker whispered among colleagues in both awe and caution. Known for walking the razor's edge between medical science and morally gray experimental methods, her treatments were often unorthodox—but undeniably effective.
Now, as a Medical Consultant, Dr. Archer plays a critical role in shaping the future of the department and maintaining operational integrity during times of chaos. Her calm demeanor and sharp intellect have made her a cornerstone of the site’s healthcare system.
- Uncovering and resolving mysterious medical anomalies that defy known science—such as patients developing second nervous systems, or infections that respond to thought rather than antibiotics.
- Creating and running immersive training programs for new medical personnel, combining clinical knowledge with on-the-field survival tactics for anomalous emergencies.
- Field deployment with MTF teams as a lead combat medic in high-risk retrieval missions involving biological SCPs or mass casualty events.
- Leading quarantine and biohazard containment efforts during outbreaks caused by anomalous pathogens, parasites, or SCP exposure—often collaborating with Containment and Research Divisions.
