In what country are you located?:
US

Character name(s):
Aylin Karra
Civilian name:
N/A
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
I have held no whitelisted roles as of yet due to the high-level requirements.
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?:
I have no kicks, bans, and/or warnings. The only punishments I've received were two arrests, one for disrespect and the other for RDM.
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?:
I am applying for Executive Researcher for many reasons, the primary one being I absolutely love Researcher RP. I joined this server due to a number of my friends playing on it and encouraging me to join. Since I joined I was struggling to find something that I could actually partake in, while finding it truly entertaining. After being frustrated by GENSEC I had the Research Department recommended to me. Since I first switched to Junior Researcher I have not played any other job, due to finding it extremely fun. Running experiments and writing papers on said experiments is very entertaining, and I thoroughly enjoy the roleplay of the Research Department.
Another major reason I'm applying for this position is that I've become very fond of the actual position itself. I would like to assist new researchers as I was assisted and encourage more engagement in the writing of research papers. The writing and submitting of research papers is my favorite part of the research department, and I would very much so enjoy taking a greater part in the whole system. Furthermore, I want to step into a more leadership-oriented role as I believe I am very qualified to do so and they're generally more fun.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
The reason I am suitable for Executive Researcher is due to my vast amount of experience on RP servers. I have spent far too long playing this game on RP servers due to my genuine enjoyment of RP, I would elaborate further but I don't wish for this to be denied for bringing up other servers. More reasons why I am suitable for this position are my leadership abilities, and experience with teaching others. A large part of this role is to provide much-needed leadership within the research department and provide valuable training to new members of the department. So far I have already assisted two of my friends who also joined the research department with understanding how to properly create research papers and conduct experiments.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
So far I have only produced six/seven (not certain) excellent documents, but I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. This is demonstrated by the fact that every document I've submitted, aside from my first submission which was redone and resubmitted, has received an excellent grade. This is because I have a solid understanding of what is necessary in order to achieve an excellent grade. The first and foremost requirement is to follow the provided formats, this is essential so that every document can easily be viewed and skimmed through. The second major part of achieving an excellent grade on a submitted document is the actual content of the document. It must be written to a high quality with minimal grammatical and spelling errors. The final major requirement is to present an immersive document, which requires writing in character. If your document is constantly referencing out-of-character things such as a person's job/whitelist or their loadout, reading through it will not present an immersive experience. Every document I submitted I've gone through and read a number of other submissions on the same SCP, not only to have a better understanding of the SCP but to also increase the quality of my own work.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
The responsibilities of an Executive Researching in RP are primarily to provide leadership and direction to the research department. This includes seeking new members of the department and providing them with adequate and in-character training/orientation, and providing direction in the event of an emergency and other researchers not knowing what to do. The second primary responsibility of an Executive Researcher is to authorize and conduct high-clearance level tests and experiments to provide other researchers the opportunity to engage with something they might otherwise never be able to. There are many others such as grading document submissions or providing a peer review of a fellow researcher's work but they are not nearly as important as the previously stated responsibilities.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
So far Senior Researcher Dr. Aylin Karra has experienced a rapid rise in the Research Department due to quality work. Partaking in a number of experiments run by herself and her colleagues, Aylin has made quality contributions to the foundation and furthered its understanding of a number of SCPs. Currently, Aylin is working on a study focusing on the psychology of SCP-7722 and how to prevent its containment breaches. Despite Aylin's belligerent and uncaring personality she strives to make the world a better place, and the best route to do so in her eyes is the foundation. Before working with the foundation, Aylin was a promising theoretical physics doctoral candidate who was recruited by the foundation for her doctoral thesis on "anomalous sciences". Since learning about the foundation and its goals, she's been a highly motivated and loyal member of the research department.
