Beginnings.
Derek Canada started his bountiful career in the Foundation in our very own Security Department, pulled from the US Army’s 6th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion as a Corporal after an incident with SCP-███. After a short, yet exemplary stint in the GSD, Officer Canada would be inducted into MTF Epsilon-11. Specialist Canada showed good prospects for Epsilon-11 at the time, however on the 24th of September, 2022, a containment breach that got out of hand at Site 65 would claim his life.

Graciously, the O5 has given me the ability to write my own file for this. Just a fair warning to whichever Overseer is reading this, I’m not very good at writing these. It’s a weird feeling, having gone this far in life. I’ve seen a lot on this Site in the past 5 months or so. I’ve seen O5 come and go; my own operatives reach new heights. It truly has been a long ride. The fights between both sides of SC and ISD I’ve quelled and fuelled, it’s well and truly been a good run. As I take another sip from my last coffee on Floor 3, I don’t regret a second. God I remember the day I was brought into this beautiful regiment. Running myself through the killhouse over and over as a Specialist, only to catch the eye of Lieutenant “Pebble”. What a day. I’ll never forget donning this black and gray uniform. I’ll certainly never forget entering Floor 3 for the first time. God knows closing this chapter in my life won’t change much. I’ve embraced our duty. Our duty to the Overseers. Our duty to Secure, Contain, Protect. I certainly will continue to do so, even in what will become a near different life. So, to the O5 reading this, don’t forget me, as I doubt it will be long before you see me again, either as this version of myself or another.

Site Administration: A new age.
After months of hard work in Nu-7, “Bohemia” reached LTCOM yet again. While it was a short run, he ran a tight ship during it. He gave his men leadership, something to strive for. Nearly radicalizing the unit against the CI threat, he was proud of the framework he left behind. However, something higher beckoned to him. The ways he was familiar with yet so clouded by the fog of the past.
The now Site Advisor would grab his coat from the edge of his chair and take a slow walk around Site 65. Stopping by the vending machine for a drink, he would leisurely stroll around the Site, not sure on exactly what he was looking for. As he walked past D-Block, into Delta Wing, past Containment Chambers and where it all began. Strolling into EZ, he stopped in front of the elevator to Floor 3. A feeling of relief and understanding washed over him. The camera in the corner slowly panned towards him. Suddenly, everything went black.
Waking back up inside of his office, a keycard would be placed beside him. A pure, ice white card. A card with no name.
He took a sharp breath. The fog had cleared. He remembers what he told them, and he certainly wasn’t wrong in his words. He grabbed his mug of coffee and walked to the stairs of Core Sector. As the Red Right Hand marched down the bridge, brushing Omega-1 aside, he muttered to himself:
“It’s time to go home.”

What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):
- O5-3 (However I’m not partial to any specific number). I believe at this very moment, I am truly ready to ascend into a position on the Council. Over this journey, I’ve managed to work with nearly every department in at least some form. Having a former member of Alpha-1 back on the Council will increase the RP provided to that regiment and I would love to fill that role. The O5 has always been the position I’ve looked up to ever since I got started in Alpha-1, and I believe the time is now.
- Experience
Throughout my time on the server, I’ve spent time with nearly all of the departments the Council directly oversees, those being Alpha-1, the DEA and Site Administration. I spent the bulk of my time on this server in Alpha-1, quickly rising to CO during my early days as an enlisted and an NCO. During my time as CO, I effectively dealt with internal and external problems, ranging from unruly members to relations with other MTFs and departments (This also applies to my time in Nu-7). Through my current tenure as SA and Senior Agent, I’ve also come to understand the flow and structure of DEA. I’ve worked closely with their Dpt. Director, giving my opinion on any problems that occur and aiding if it is needed. Another area overseen by the O5 that I have experience in is Site Administration. SA has opened my eyes and expanded my knowledge on how the site is run from above. It’s helped me shift into the idea of being much less “hands on” with departments, rather than my previous roles in MTFs.
- Maturity and involvement
I typically enjoy conducting interviews with Foundation personnel, getting a view of how the general populace of a department feel about the enjoyment of their position. I also enjoy receiving feedback on myself, using that to build upon my own character and further my administrative and leadership ability within the server. I don’t confront criticism with a stubborn mindset and instead delve in with an open one. I believe criticism from my peers alongside me is an unparalleled key in maintaining my own performance in ANY role I hold.
- Activity
In the entirety of my presence on the server, I’ve been incredibly active throughout. I am usually on everyday, and am quick to respond to DM’s over discord along with pings for discussions. However, recently I have understood the importance of not burning myself out by playing one job over and over, especially on administrative whitelists. I aim to enjoy the server, not ruin it. I am responsible with my own health and the importance of maintaining that balance with my positions on the server.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:
The responsibilities of the O5 are similar to Site Administration, however are much more private and hands off, rather than the public face of Site Admin. While the O5 directly handles less departments than Site Admin, their responsibilities carry a much larger weight and scope than those of SA. The responsibilities are as follows:

While the O5 directly handles less departments than Site Admin, their responsibilities carry a much larger weight and scope than those of SA. The responsibilities are as follows:
- Overseeing Site Administration.
The oversight of SA to ensure a healthy management of the site along with aiding Site Admin in the implementation and creation of Site-Wide policies.
- The Code of Conduct.
Edits/changes and voting on the Code of Conduct, preventing loopholes and ensuring the health of its relation with the FLC.
- The oversight of DEA.
Working alongside Site Administration regarding the direct oversight of DEA and dealing with higher level affairs within the department.
- The authorization of dangerous tests.
Deciding what is safe for the Foundation through the authorization of SCP-008 tests and Keter-Keter crosstests.
- The health of MTF Alpha-1.
Overseeing the management of MTF Alpha-1. Similar to OAs, the O5 also provides RP to the Red Right Hand through orders and various other activities.
- The health of the Overseer Assistants.
The management of Overseer Assistants along with various orders to provide RP, similar to Alpha-1.
- Code Black procedures.
The enacting of Code Blacks and the procedures related to them when a breach threatens the safety of the site.
- Problem solving where the O5 is required.
Handling of situations where Site Admin or other personnel is not able to handle the incident themselves, typically being the last resort.
- Informational security.
Using MTF A-1 to ensure the informational security of the site, making sure that information is restricted to those who need it, and kept secret from those who don’t.
- The Alpha Warhead.
The detonation of the Alpha Warhead in situations where all site integrity is lost.
- Enacting emergency policies.
Much like SA, the O5 holds the ability to authorize AA, KOS past airlock and mass terminations in the event they are needed. These abilities should be used with care and only be authorized in situations where they are necessary.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
- Fellow Overseer Applications
- Site Director Applications
- Director of External Affairs Applications
- Overseer Assistant Applications
- Alpha-1 COM (Through promotion rather than an application)
