What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:
I can bring my experience, knowledge, activity, and maturity to the GOC. For experience, I haven’t been playing for very long, but in the time I have been here, I’ve put a lot of hours into research, chemistry, GenSec, and civilian(Mostly research & chemistry though). Thanks to the hours I’ve put into some of the more RP intense jobs & my general experience on gmod, I believe I will be able to provide quality RP as a member of the GOC, especially in the PTOLEMY Division. As far as knowledge is concerned, I may not be the most well-versed in actual lore(Although I have been reading it to learn more), but I believe I have a sufficient understanding of how the server works(Rules, RP, the GOIs, etc). I also believe that my activity will benefit the GOC, as I can play for several hours a day, almost every day & I would be more than willing to spend the majority of those hours as a member of the GOC. Because of all this, I believe I can be an active, useful, and mature member of the GOC.

Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:

There are several reasons I would like to join the GOC. The first reason I would like to join the GOC is because I would like to try new things, mainly Surface RP. I could join Nu-7, CI, or play on Citizen or Intelligence Agent to do things on the Surface, however all of those things are restricted or they simply don’t interest me as much as GOC does. The lore behind GOC & what it does on the server are unique, and I believe that I could experience unique Surface RP that I would enjoy if I joined the GOC. The second reason I would like to join the GOC is to experience a more combative side of the server, I could join an MTF group or CI, but like I said earlier, I’m just not interested in joining most of those groups, however I am still interested in trying something combative, which GOC has. The third reason, which is similar to my second reason, is that I want to experience a more RP intensive role on the server. I’ve been playing a lot of Researcher since I joined, and I really do enjoy it, but I would also like to see what other groups have to offer, especially the ability to research/test on surface SCPs, the interactions they can have with CI, Pinewood, and the Foundation, and more(I was also told that out of all the groups on the server, Foundation Researcher DPT & GOC have the best RP). The fourth and final reason I want to join the GOC is simply because I want to try something new. I’ve put a lot of time into the foundation, and now I want to see what other groups on the server have to offer/do.

Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
The Global Occult Coalition(First known as the “Allied Occult Initiative” during the Seventh Occult War) was founded after the Seventh Occult War because several governments feared the threat that anomalies posed to humanity. This caused said governments to want more oversight over parathreats, however since no singular country/group could be trusted, the GOC ended up being formed from 108 different anomalous/occult groups.

What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:

[PHYSICS] The UNGOCs PHYSICS Division is similar to the Foundations Mobile Task Force. The primary objective of the PHYSICS Division is to investigate & capture/neutralize parathreats. The two main groups that the PHYSICS Division is composed of are the Assessment Teams, who handle the investigation & observation of parathreats, and the Strike Teams, who are the primary combative force of the Division. To simplify it, the PHYSICs Division is the Action Arm of the UNGOC.

[PSYCHE] The UNGOCs PSYCHE Division are the diplomats of the group. They interact with the rest of the paranormal organizations(Foundation, CI, ETC) & work to maintain peace between them. It could, in some ways, be seen as the GOCs version of the Department of External Affairs(It may not be a proper equivalent in some versions of the lore)

[PTOLEMY] The third Arm of the UNGOC is the PTOLEMY Division. The PTOLEMY Division is essentially a combination of the Foundations Scientific Department & Logistics Department. They handle various tasks, such as researching parathreats, developing new technology, and handling the logistics for many things ranging from food & equipment to weapons & ammunition. The PTOLEMY Division is the Support Arm of the UNGOC.

What Are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
[Survival] The GOCs primary & most important goal is to protect humanity from parathreats.

[Concealment] The GOCs secondary goal is to hide all knowledge about paranormal threats from the public. Failure to do so would cause mass panic, which would likely result in a large amount of civilian casualties.

[Protect] The GOCs third goal is to protect individual humans & members of the GOC whenever possible, as long as it does not conflict with the primary & secondary goals.

[Destruction] The GOCs fourth goal is to neutralize all parathreats, as their very existence has the potential to cause great harm to humanity & may very well completely wipe out humanity.

[Education] The GOCs fifth goal is to always strive to expand their knowledge of parathreats, focusing on their weaknesses & researching ways to permanently neutralize & prevent the spread of more parathreats, so long as said research does not conflict with any of the four previous goals.

Please explain The Seventh Occult War:
During the Second World War, the Nazi Regimes very own occult organization, the Ahnenerbe Obskurakorps, attempted to complete the “Rite of Solomon”, a ritual that would allow them to change the nature of magic. They intended to use this to make magic only performable by Germans(Primarily Hitlers Regime & his key supporters), making them the true “master-race”. This led to the Global Occult Coalition(Known as the Allied Occult Initiative at the time), alongside several other occult groups of interest that it had allied with during the war, such as the FBIs Unusual Incident Unit and the SCP Foundation, managed to stop the Obskurakorps from completing this ritual, which also prevented the Nazi Regime from turning the tides of the World War. This incident later resulted in the AOI turning into the Global Occult Coalition, as they wanted to prevent things like this in the future & have better control/oversight of parathreats.

What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
From what I understand, the GOC has unique goals & ideals that, in my opinion, are something that people might actually have(If SCPs were real). In the SCP Universe, there are a lot of groups that are aware of the anomalies/parathreats, however a lot of them seem to focus on the abuse and/or use of them, whereas the GOC wants to destroy any & all anomalies, which they believe will protect the human race. I believe that the GOCs actions in the SCP-Universe make a lot of sense, despite being a little extreme at times. Now, obviously they’re not real, but if anomalies did exist, I believe that working to destroy most anomalies would be the best way to ensure humanity's survival(Although I would be against the destruction of SCPs that could be used to benefit humanity(500,447) or SCPs that do not pose any threat to humanity(999 & others like it).

Code Name: “Ifrit”

Serial Number: 78830949-25C

Real Name: Mark Carter

Nationality: Canadian

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: December 29th, 1995

Biographical Information:
Mark Carter was born on December 29th, 1995 in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Growing up in the cold and remote town of Inuvik, he learned the importance of looking out for his fellow town members & to lend a hand to those in need. During high school, he developed a passion for science & physical fitness, which led to him choosing to take multiple science & physical electives in his Junior & Senior years, for a while, he was even a member of the town's local football team. Upon graduating from high school, he decided to join the Canadian Army because of the need he felt to make a difference & serve his country.

In the Army, Mark learned many things during the operations he was a part of, however the most important things were discipline, teamwork, and leadership. In his first five years of service, he was promoted twice, making him a Master Corporal in the Canadian Army. He likely would have continued to rise through the ranks of the CAF, had things not gone wrong during a mission in the second week of July, 2021.

In late June, Mark was informed that he was being deployed on a more secretive operation that was set to begin in early to mid July. Unfortunately for him, a GOC operation was underway to terminate a KTE in the area. On the sixth day of deployment, the parathreat that the GOC was attempting to terminate had come across Mark & his squad, which resulted in the deaths of everyone except for Mark & his commanding officer. Before the parathreat was able to kill them, the GOC arrived on scene & began the process of terminating the parathreat. Wanting to avenge their fallen comrades, Mark & his CO did what they could to assist the GOC in any way they could.

Mark's ability to survive & assist with the termination of the parathreat resulted in the GOC taking notice of him, eventually leading to them recruiting him to the GOC. One year later, he made his first confirmed kill on KTE-7433-Goodrick-Kringle. Following that, he assisted in the capture & elimination of parathreats for another year, before taking a three month sabbatical. Upon returning to active duty, he assisted with the termination of a KTE-0154-Blackwood-Gorgon instance. Not long after that, he was reassigned to the GOC base located in Pinewood, -----------.
