Why are you applying for Special Agent? I am applying for the Special Agent position as I feel I have given a lot of time to the department of external affairs. Given that I have given most of my time to the department, I believe I have what it takes to handle the duties and act maturely in the capacity of a special agent. I am fully committed to assisting DEA in becoming a more vital department among surface activities, and to work hard providing assistance to Senior Agents in any need they have.

What makes you suitable for Special Agent?: I think what makes me suitable for Special Agent is that I have extensively read over the guidelines, and worked closely with managers of the department to better understand contracts, policies and the general goal of DEA. I believe that I embody an Agent that is fully committed towards the betterment of DEA and that I hold the leadership capabilities that DEA requires. I am not afraid to lead others and to be an example for them to follow. For someone in a leadership capacity, I think communication is the golden trait that truly shows how a leader will represent themself. Without communication, there is no transparency, and with no transparency the rest of the department cannot follow in good conscience. I feel that I ensure that my communication skills are up to standards that everyone, no matter their role can clearly feel informed.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
I, unlike most people, haven't written many documents (1 document to date). This does not mean I am not interested in writing any documents, I simply haven’t had the need to.
I think what makes a good document is something that is concise while still being informative. Providing well thought out explanations of the topic are also what make a good document. Having a balance of the right amount of words and being able to express tone, quality and emotion are something that can be drawn out of a document to see actual effort put into it. Most documents have all the appropriate signatures as well as all official sections of the document written out such as cross tests needing a page for each SCP used.
