Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?
Firstly, I want to ensure a better future for DEA. I feel that the department as a whole is on the rise thanks to the efforts of many wonderful people in DEA. As deputy director, I will be in a better position to ensure that this positive trend continues. I have been a manager for a long time now, and I want to take the next step in my Site-65 career. I believe I will be able to work with the department director and the management team to not only improve DEA, but also to better relations with GOC, help increase combat effectiveness with dealing with pesky insurgents, and improve surface RP for all SOP and GOIs. I also love playing DEA and find almost all aspects of the job really entertaining.
What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
I have been an active member in DEA since Orca was Director, so I am very experienced with DEA. I have also been in DEA leadership for the longest out of the 4 managers, and back when Betriv was director, I was one of the three people who, under Yobi, revived BORTAC after the wipe (the other 2 being Change and October). I believe the most pressing issue with surface RP and DEA is cross-faction relations, I have lots of experience in this area as manager I have been assigned to relations for around a month or 2 now. I am well qualified and capable of taking on the responsibilities and duties of DoEA role.
As I understand that actions speak louder than words, below I have listed some accomplishments of mine that I have deemed noteworthy
-Worked with Rudy and the executive team to establish a treaty between research and GOC scientists (still in progress)
-Worked with Nu7 to establish a permanent codeword between DEA and Nu7
-Added a new policy to DEA that was included in the handbook after approval from director
-Working on revamping the MC&D sales permit (also still in progress)
-Was born into the right universe where I had the opportunity to work with as many amazing people as I did
What are the responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs in RP?:
-Promote healthy surface RP
-Be the foundation's representative to the outside world
-Lead relation efforts with GOIs on behalf of the foundation
-Work with the other Director to make changes to improve the department
-Accept/Deny special agent applications and appoint managers
-Liaise between SA/SC and GOIs
Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Main Lore: Joe Anderson used to work as Black Ops in the US Army. During a deployment to Afghanistan, Joe's squad entered a cave that was thought to house enemy combatants but was actually the home of an undiscovered 939 instance. The 939 instance proceeded to massacre everyone in Joe's squad except for himself as he was able to hide in a pile of rubble. When MTF came in to terminate the 939, they found Joe hiding in the rubble. Joe was airlifted to a foundation medical center and received treatment for his injuries, during his time in the center, he was offered a job at the SCP foundation and was assigned to the Department of External Affairs. Joe worked his way up the ranks of DEA and BORTAC to become what he is today.
