Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
Given my previous roles as an Executive back in the day, alongside my previous work as an Ethics Assistant under a former ECM on Former Chairman Randal Murphy's administration, I have decided to make an attempt at giving Site Advisor a try. I have worked on several Departmental Reviews for the Ethics Committee during my time, alongside working with various departments to make an attempt at suggesting potential solutions to problems within other departments. As an assistant, I had the tendency to go above and beyond to ensure the various departments were in good shape by conducting interviews, taking in complaints, and bringing them to the appropriate personnel to handle the situation in an appropriate manner. I try my best to provide well spoken and crucial input and advice that has allowed many members of foundation staff who were struggling in the past to excel in their duties in the past, and present.
During my first term as an Executive Researcher, I have helped other departments conducting their duties in a more efficient and proper way by having an advanced knowledge on the Legal Codex and standard operating procedures, similarly to what I do now. Even to this day, I continue to provide mentorship and advice to those who are in need. With my very consistent activity within the site, I can provide additional support to Site Administration as an Advisor and assist the overall growth of all of the departments to become greater to what they currently are, and build a direct line between the junior clearance personnel and Site Command. In recent weeks, I have been working hard everyday to help our research personnel conduct proper documentation, adhere to the legal codex, authorize important and interesting test ideas and attempting to keep the spirit of the Research Department alive.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
To reiterate on my answer to the previous question, my previous experience with working across several departments as an Executive Researcher and Ethics Assistant would provide valuable skills to Site Administration. With the position of Site Advisor, I could use my skills to further promote cross department teamwork, alongside critical input that could help push departments in the right direction. My willingness to mentor and provide critical advice to other members of foundation personnel shows strong communication and public relation skills that would be invaluable to the current members of Site Administration. My supportive nature will extend to the other members of the various departments, promoting positive collaboration to the entirety of the site.
Furthermore, my experience with working alongside other departments primarily as an Executive has given me insights on what challenges some of the departments face, and have given them an outsiders perspective of things on how to potentially promote good change. By being an Ethics Assistant, I had been given more insight on departmental issues during interviews with the various members of the foundation in the past. With these experiences, this will allow me to bring a practical and informed opinions to Site Administration's discussions and decisions on pressing matters within the foundation. A long time ago, I had worked with Lunaro while she was the Department Director of Research to rework Research Policies as a whole, as it was in a really poor state when she initially became the Department Director. When she moved over to Site Administration, I had worked alongside her as an Ethics Assistant to try and petition better policies and promote proper teamwork around the site. It was always an honor working alongside her, and I wish she was still around to see the changes made.
While I may not have Department Leadership experience as a Director, I believe my skills could be used to benefit Site Administration in the long run, as providing support to other Junior Members of CL4 and lower would help promote site wide positivity, and help them raise their concerns through the appropriate channels.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
Site Administration is one of the more important roles within the Site. Compared to the responsibilities of junior CL4 members, Site Administration holds more overarching and generalized duties. The role of a Site Advisor closely mirrors that of an assistant to Site Command in many ways. Both roles involve constant oversight of departments and their overall health, with the responsibility of brainstorming and implementing solutions to internal and external issues within their assigned areas. Site Advisors must be prepared to handle a wide range of tasks, which include frequent communication, collaboration, overseeing and guiding departmental leadership, receiving feedback, and creating or adjusting policies with Site Command (Although this last one may not be too common, as both parties in Site Command have their own way of doing things regarding Legal Codex and Policy Revisions).
Communication involves regular conversations with department directors about urgent matters and staying informed on SA-related issues. Collaboration entails working alongside fellow Site Advisors to address sitewide concerns and being open to working with junior CL4 members, particularly those within your own department, on internal matters. Overseeing departmental leadership involves taking necessary actions when leadership is failing and assessing the overall status of a department from multiple perspectives. Providing guidance to leadership is crucial to maintaining a healthy department, as Site Advisors ensure that Department Directors are properly managing their teams and fully understand their responsibilities.
Receiving feedback is another key aspect of the role, both in terms of direct input about your performance as an SA and feedback on the department you oversee. Being receptive to this feedback and making decisions that reflect the general input from others is essential, as it's important to consider the impact your decisions will have on those you're working with. Site Advisors must keep all of this in mind while also managing server-related changes, as every decision ties back to the responsibilities of being a Site Advisor, contributing to the server's ongoing health and stability.
Finally, being a role model is an essential responsibility for all Site Advisors. By setting a positive example, Site Advisors help steer new members in a constructive direction, ultimately fostering a positive and dynamic environment that will benefit both roleplay and the server as a whole.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Maxwell Shepherd is a dedicated and loyal Senior Researcher of the SCP Foundation. Maxwell was born in Colts Neck, New Jersey on July 7th, 1989 to Evelyn and Dominic Shepherd. At a young age, Maxwell took an interest in wanting to find and understand the unexplained. In high school, Maxwell excelled in the field of mathematics and science, eventually graduating with high grades and applying to Thomas Jefferson University. After four years, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
After his graduation, he was approached by a private military contractor that required his expertise for weapon development. Maxwell began his career in the research and development of prototype weaponry that the company sold to agencies around the world. One of his assignment involved him overseeing a deal to an unknown buyer before being transferred to another research and development facility across the US. While Maxwell was in the process studying notes for a new potential weapon on the day of the meet, the convoy was ambushed by the Chaos Insurgency and was rendered unconscious after his vehicle was rammed off road.
Several days after the incident happened, he awoke in a medical room with a Foundation recruitment officer reviewing Maxwell's notes. Maxwell was offered a position as an intern for the SCP Foundation at Site-13, and worked there for several years. After some time working for the Foundation, he learned valuable skills and knowledge on various SCP Objects and the goals of the foundation, to which he learned to grow appreciation for the cause they had.
On one fateful day, the Director of Site-13 had written a transfer order to Site-65 along with a promotion to Junior Researcher for Maxwell, marking the first day of a bright future for his career in the foundation.
With the guidance of seasoned researchers, he began to conduct several important tests that allowed the Foundation to learn new discoveries about the contained SCPs via chemical research. To this day, he continues to work vigilantly in hopes to maintain the goals the foundation has set up for him.
Shortly after his transfer to Site-65 from Site-13, Maxwell Shepherd was taken under the wing of a Senior Researcher working at the Site for quite some time. After some time, Maxwell received several promotions in quick succession for his overall support and dedication to the Foundation and his work at Site-65. One day, he was offered a position on the Executive Researcher Team after an evaluation report and interview by the Director of Research at the time. Maxwell graciously accepted the position and continued to dedicate his work for the research department.
Taking his experience from Site-13 and the protocols to heart, Maxwell became known for working closely with Internal Affairs with cracking down on conduct and Ethical violations on site, along with conducting and supervising very critical tests. As the days went by, more members of the Research Division began coming forward to Maxwell on advice and various test petitions.
One early morning, a mass breach occurred while all other Site Command members were off site with Maxwell taking the initiative to coordinate the breach. Maxwell worked with personnel on site to restore power to several key systems within the facility, along with the containment of one SCP. During the course of the breach, Maxwell witnessed several violations against the code of conduct and took note of them. Several hours after this incident, additional personnel arrived on site and took over the situation, successfully ending the situation. With the coordination of the site during the breach a minor success, Maxwell felt as if his expertise could benefit the foundation in other ways.
Maxwell was eventually accepted into the Ethics Committee as an assistant. He worked hard with the Committee to ensure that all ethics codes were being followed. He worked with Epsilon-11, and the Internal Affairs Division, now known as the Internal Security Department. After several months, Maxwell ended up resigning from his post as an assistant after several incidents had taken place pushed him to his limits. Maxwell requested a transfer to a different site, and was granted the request. He had kept in contact with several of his associates that he could call his friends, but kept working at an undisclosed location for the Foundation.
Until recently.
Maxwell was transferred back to Site-65 as per his request, and met a few of his fellow peers from all that time ago. He was astonished to see the new changes that had been made to the site. Now, Maxwell was filled with a new determination to continue his work, and ensuring the continued prosperity of the Foundation.
After becoming an executive for a second time, he was going to try and call upon his skills as an Assistant under former Chairman Murphy's guidance and advice for the betterment of Site-65, writing a transfer request to Site Administration...

Greetings to the Members of Site-65's Site Administration,
I hope Site Administration is doing well, and may this letter arrive to you at a good time. I am writing to you today in the hopes that I can provide further assistance to both you and and Foundation as a whole regarding a division transfer as an Advisor for Site-65. I have worked in the Research Department for a long time now, and have came out of retirement for the sole purpose of returning to my calling; working for the foundation. Before my retirement, I had the honor of working with the former Chairman of the Committee, Randal Murphy, who has recently returned to the Ethics Committee as a member. After some reflection, I have decided that would make this formal request to help Site-65's overall operations.
I have had the opportunity to reconnect with old associates I have worked with in the past, and meet new individuals that I have built connections with. However, upon self evaluation, I believe that my skills would be more beneficial and aligned towards working under Site Administration. This transfer would allow me to further pursuit my ambition to assist with the Foundation by guiding Site-65's personnel in the right direction. I am confident that my expertise will be a beneficial asset to your team and the goals the various departments and Site Command wish to achieve. I would like to reiterate that this transfer request is not due to any dissatisfaction of the Research Department, and am only requesting a transfer to where I believe I can assist the foundation on a more efficient manner.
I hope that Site Administration will consider my transfer request and evaluate it based on the needs, my qualifications, and the contributions I have made in both the past and present regarding my work. Thank you for your time and attention to my request. I am more than willing to provide any additional information if required and take any necessary procedures to conduct a smooth transition.
With Kindest Regards,
Executive Maxwell 'Arcturus' Shepherd
