I have spent quite a number of hours pouring over research documentation, guiding the next generation of researchers, and otherwise working to establish a viable and engaging RP atmosphere amongst the server population. This has involved a lot of give and take with administration. A lot of give and take. Working at the level I have been for the last few months has taught me that it takes a lot of dedication and elbow grease to keep the ol' wheels churning on the server. While my personal goals were the betterment of RP itself, we all had to do our part to make sure every experience was a fun and memorable one when visiting this community. Well, I think the best thing I can do is to offer my experience and expertise in an area that would benefit from it. A couple key points to consider:

Personally, I believe this could have been handled via an in-person interview, but I understand the benefits that lie in analysis capable via third party involvement.

It has been growing and growing over the weeks as they come and go with the relentless flow of time. This numbness that has steadily been taking the place of what was once compassionate determination. I used to find joy in my work, joy discovering just what all had lied just beyond the pale that made up human consciousness. I cannot fathom if it is the work I do or my own condition, but I feel... missing. Like I have taken a wrong headway in a calm ocean that extends in every direction. What's worse is that I'm starting to not care what happens to these subjects. There- That right there. Subjects. I haven't thought of them as anything more than assets to be used and discarded in months. Even writing it down like this feels distant, like I'm observing another stand in my place and direct my limbs to a sombre melody all their own.

- Document creation is something that was integral in my duties as Director of Research and executive before that. I have created many documents such as experiment logs, project proposals, procedures and general reports of the site. The vast majority of these documents have been put in use creating and maintaining RP within the department and the site as a whole. Much of my documentation work recently has been put to work in the background updating and modernizing practices such as the observed sampling policies
- While I may not possess direct first-hand knowledge of Site Command practices, I have been exposed to the procedures and atmosphere of the position on numerous occasions during my tenure as Director. I'm am directly friendly with two (2) of the current members of the council and two (2) Ethics members. Aside from picking up pointers on the countenance required of those in such lofty heights, these relationships mean that I can connect on a player level with those I would likely be spending most of my time with.

- The first and most important quality necessary for a role as central as Site Command is that I have the patience necessary. It may not seem obvious to those who have not been integral to the flow of RP and administrative processes, but this job is stressful. Even as just a Director I have received constant attention from elements all over the server- even members of other GOI outside the facility. Be it general questions about policies and help with expanding their experiment ideas into something worthwhile, or less direct relations such as help with running events to engage players or coordinating between several parties for policy continuity. It all culminates in a lot of pseudo-paperwork and inter-departmental communication.
- Following up on the previous point is another crucial aspect of Site Command; my approachability. While the role itself requires a certain level of mystique and threatening undertones present within the universe, as a player it is important to understand that we are all here to have fun in an immersive world not like our own. To this end, it is important to know how to interact with those that come to you on a personal level, not just a professional one. Often there are questions about how the various elements of the foundation work. be it what an ISD is to who they need to go to for certain authorizations. As Site Command, it is your job to know the answer to as many questions as possible, or know exactly who to send somebody to to find out the ones you don't.
- Despite not being a Game Master myself, I have often worked with them and other members of the staff team to create opportunities for RP whenever I can. My most prominent activities lie in ensuring any events I am able to attend remain as open as possible to many members of the foundation as can feasibly be included. I've seen some events get cordoned off immediately on inception, where only CL4+ get to have any interaction for hours on end. That is patently against what I believe makes for engaging content, and would do everything in my power to ensure the most amount of players get to be involved in any given instance.
- It is a little more unorthodox than the other points, but I have a natural inclination towards understanding and moving past mistakes I have made. I am not perfect, and I won't pretend to be nor try to convince others to do so either. Instead, I welcome critiques openly and strive to try and correct habits that may not produce positive effects for myself and those around me. Without a few mistakes it would not be possible to better myself as both a member of the community and a shepherd of its directions.

In-Character Responsibility
- As the motto goes, "Secure. Contain. Protect." These make up the core beliefs of the foundation as dictated by the █████████████. Chief among these lies in the capture and concealment of anomalous features of the planet and universe as a whole. Whether it is a man-eating reptile that cannot be killed or a paranormal invasion of beings beyond human comprehension, it is the Foundation's job to ensure these rogue elements do not hinder humanity's progress with undue panic or strife. To do so, an understanding of these anomolies- these SCPs- must be found via the extensive research network interposed between each of the many sites scattered throughout the Earth's surface. It is an Overseer's job to lay down the groundwork to enable this understanding.
- It may seem pretty obvious, but the second most important role of an Overseer is just that. They are tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of a site while it is in motion. On any given day a plethora of problems and judicial conjunctions will occur. Usually these can be solved by the already placed methods of bureaucracy that exist, but occasionally a firmer hand from a much higher figure is required to ensure efficient and effective responses. Site Administration is utilized extensively to this effect, being enabled by the whims and views of their overseers to enact policies that better the pursuit of the core tenants.
- The overseers also have a series of assistants that carry out their orders when they cannot be involved themselves. This is most often the case when dealing with personnel not authorized to know directly of who they are and what they must do to preserve the peace. These assistants also are used to make official documentation when it needs to be presented, as Overseers seldom sign documents themselves.
- Another resource available to Overseers is the MTF Alpha-1 division, an elite soldier unit tasked with guarding the Overseer Council and their interests. At the most basic level these men serve to prevent any unauthorized personnel from having even the remote chance of presenting harm to these important figures within the infrastructure. Outside of this constant duty is their roles as the 'dirtied hands' so to speak. If someone needs to be brought discreetly to an unlit room to speak directly with the Overseer, they make it happen. If administration falls apart and needs to be corralled, they arrived with overwhelming force and enforce order. Jurisdiction over these men is a privilege, and one that should not be taken lightly.
OOC Responsibilities
- In the event of a catastrophic site breakdown, it is also the responsibility of these men and women to initiate failsafe protocols. Chief among these is the Code Black procedure, a site-wide state of evacuation preceding the detonation of Alpha Warheads located deep within the bowels of the facility. This is an absolute last resort saved only for the most extreme circumstances when it is believed that SCPs are at risk of being loosed on the surface and ERT forces have been rendered KIA. It is the duty of the council to decide when such an ultimatum should occur, and their authority that will initiate the final countdown to scorched earth.
- While not explicitly IC, the actions and orders of an Overseer can both make and break RP on the server as a whole. The responsibility of such power can be daunting to most people. It is of vital importance to strike a chord that achieves plausible scenarios for others to experience as much as maintain order amongst the various interlocking mechanisms that produce a successful server.
