What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:

I don't think I am the best candidate out there for choosing but I will try my best to be the best candidate. All of the roles I have gotten throughout my time in the foundation I might have not been the best pick for it, but I tried my best in the positions that I was appointed to. I may not be the best commander but I try my best to better my regiment, making changes that, hopefully, will make me remembered as a commander that tried his best. I don't have a commanding voice that makes people listen or confidence that would make anyone want to follow me. I don't have a million past jobs that give me more experience than others. I have been given two jobs in the foundation and I have stuck with those jobs till the very end. I don't think I am the best choice for an assistant but if I am given the opportunity I will try my best to better the foundation as well as carry out the orders given and that is what I can offer.

What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:

An Overseer Assistant is someone who represents the Council as a whole. They carry out orders given to them to the best of their ability and are the representatives of the goals the Overseers' have. They ensure that all members of the foundation follow the CoC and punish those who fail to follow those rules. You give out orders from the Council to those lower than them acting as their mouth to those who don't hear their orders. Of course, as a cl4 member, you must also carry out the normal duties any other Cl4 member would such as being a role model for those below you, making sure the foundation is running like a well-oiled machine, and helping those who require assistance.

Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Ryan set his black, Beta-1 beret down on his office table. He takes a seat on the old creaky chair that has been there since the creation of the regiment, panning his head around the office and looking at all the half-finished paperwork, some still reading "Redpanda". The appointment of his position as Commander was very abrupt. He didn't expect to get Lieutenant Commander that fast, so getting Commander as fast as he did made him feel out of place. He felt like he wasn't good enough for the position he was in and those stresses lived in his head rent-free 24/7. He always compared himself to the old Commander, whose name he felt like he knew, but it was always out of reach, whose strong words paired with his confidence made him the perfect Commander. Mid thought, Ryan heard a knock on the door. Ryan scrambled to grab one of the many manilla-colored folders around the desk and proceeded to take the papers out to look as busy as possible.

"Come in," Ryan said with his best imitation of confidence puffing his chest up in the process. The door opened revealing Captain Mark of Beta-1. He let out a soft exhale letting his chest return to its normal state. He entrusted Mark with being his Captain and is one of the closest COs he has. Mark was a soft-spoken person, but he was very passionate about his job. Mark tried his best in every situation that found him and Ryan recognized the effort that he put forth. Mark walked forward and Ryan motioned for him to take a seat; the insignias making soft clanking noises as he sits.

"How are you doing today, sir?" Mark asked softly, taking off his beret in the process revealing his light, messy golden-brown hair. Even though it was such a common sentence to greet someone with, Mark always sounded like he was genuine.

"Eh you know, same old same old." Ryan retorts in a joking manner. He started flipping through the papers that were implanted in the folder.

"I'm going to be honest with you sir, I think you need a break from Beta-1." Mark quickly said with a concerned undertone to his voice.

Out of all of the things Mark could have talked about Ryan was not expecting this. He knew that he had been spending more time in his office working regiment, but he hadn't expected that he would bring this up

"What do you mean by that, Captain?" Ryan replied, sounding more like a command than a question. He felt hurt by that comment, all of his time and effort put into a regiment just for someone to say that he needs a break.

"Sir, I know that's hard to hear but we as a regiment want a Commander that wants to help out. If you keep putting this much effort now we won't have that Commander in the future." Mark explained.

He rested his head in his hands and then it finally hit him. They still appreciate his work and effort, but they also want him to be an involved Commander and becoming too involved could easily lead to burnout. Longevity is more important than short-term gain. Where would he go to get his mind off of his regiment? He wanted somewhere where he could still be in a leading position and help out around the site, but he also wanted to have his future set up. Have a place where he could grow in a situation where he left Beta-1.

"Where in the world would I even go, Mark?" He asked, looking for some sort of advice.

"Well look at the paper you are holding, Sir," Mark replied calmly. No matter what situation he was in Mark always kept him calm. His words wrapped around him like a soft blanket in the cold night. Ryan could just never be angry at Mark.

Ryan hadn't even bothered to look at the papers that he picked up. He was too busy trying to look busy that he hadn't even considered what folder he had taken from. Ryan gently laid the papers down on his desk and removed his hands that were covering the page. The header read: "Looking for assistants. Must have Cl4 experience and a can-do attitude." He also thought that those little quotes they put at the end were stupid, but he ignored it this time looking at the Bold Red saying help wanted. He then lifted his head up and looked at Mark motioning him to leave the room. He appreciated his time, but he wanted to focus on this right now. He bent down to the side of the desk and pressed the power button. The screen flickered to life, showing many options in the menu, but Ryan selected the [Document Maker] button and started typing his application.
