Why are you applying for Security Captain?
There are multiple reasons why I am applying for Security Captain. To start, I have always liked mentoring new people, teaching them how things work, how to improve themselves, and learning new skills along the way myself.
The security department is a very important department for the site even though not a lot of people realize that, by becoming a captain I hope to improve the atmosphere within the department itself and improving the reputation we have towards other departments and people, and creating a environment in which people look at general security and are “owh dope I want to do that”.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
The reason I think I am a good fit for captain is that I always want to learn, regardless of the position or rank I hold. This means constructively taking criticism, as long as it is constructive. Furthermore, I am a people person; I strive to guide and teach others how things work, taking initiative wherever possible, and improving not just myself but also those around me along the way.
I would rather take the communicative path than the path of screaming and being aggressive towards each other. I think being able to de-escalate situations by doing this and being able to put myself in another person's shoes makes me a good fit, since captains run into a lot of the scenarios.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
A captain has many responsibilities to handle, assigning personnel to positions within D-block, supervising other security personnel, ensuring that D-block runs smoothly and effectively, and allowing researchers to take D-class and perform tests with them. Furthermore, captains assign work permits to trustees, allowing them to assist with tasks throughout the facility.
They also train new personnel, hosting heavy weapons and riot control licenses, training and guiding new personnel to work as a team and following correct SOPs, issuing disciplinary actions towards those that do not follow those, promoting professionalism and teamwork within the department.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Skye was born in Tønsberg, Norway. At the age of three, she was involved in a devastating car crash with her parents, a tragedy that claimed both of their lives. Afterward, she was placed into foster care and moved from home to home throughout the system.
Despite her difficult circumstances, Skye focused on helping others, using compassion as a way to cope with the pain she carried. As she grew older, she longed for a fresh start and eventually moved to the United States in search of something new.
There, she enlisted in the U.S. military, determined to push herself beyond her limits. Her drive and commitment placed her at the top of her basic training class. Her talent and resilience quickly caught the attention of a specialized training program dedicated to protecting and securing high-value locations for the U.S. Army.
During what was meant to be a routine mission securing a police station in the aftermath of a biological terrorist attack, Skye encountered something far beyond her training SCP-008. her fellow soldiers and colleagues turned into grotesque creatures before her eyes.
Relying purely on instinct and discipline, Skye neutralized the threats and prevented civilians from straying too close to the danger zone. With quick thinking, she even managed to restrain one of the creatures using a metal cable, ensuring it could be studied.
When MTF B-7 arrived on the scene, they were stunned to find the outbreak contained by a single surviving soldier. Skye was immediately transported to Site-65 for questioning and preparation for Class-A amnestic treatment. However, upon reviewing her debrief and assessing her remarkable performance, the Site Director saw exceptional potential in her. Instead of wiping her memory, he offered Skye a position within the Foundation as a Security Sergeant.
