For how long have you played on CG SCP: I have been on CG SCP-RP since May 2023. I have taken breaks along the way.
Age: 31
In what country are you located?: US
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Johnny 'Burrito' Broom
Civilian name: Cowboy Tram
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- ISD Inspector (holding)
- SCP-096 (holding)
- Combat Medic (holding)
- External Agent (inactive)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- No
What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):
- O5-4 'The Archivist'
I am interested in applying for O5-4 to become an archive for the foundation and someone that can deal with gaps in knowledge. I believe I can bring a lot of RP to the role itself. I want to embody the role of the foundation’s living archive. A figure who focuses on safeguarding the foundation from previous failures and provides information for others that do not remember. I believe this can bring a lot of positives to RP if done correctly and it could help carry RP scenarios for longer. The position would also assist me in achieving my long-term goal of contributing to the server with some high-quality RP.
I bring a lot of depth into this role from my investigative roleplay and with the current interactions I have had with others.
I would also like to address issues to assist with some of the inter-departmental issues across site.
What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
I believe I am a great leader. I believe my approach of balance, responsibility, and consistency makes me a great candidate for this position. I am reliable, professional, fair, active, and I am able to separate in-character and OOC very well. I stay calm under pressure and think strategically. I also bring a very detail-oriented style of work with my ability to analyze situations logically, communicate clearly, and support others during their situations.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:
The responsibility of the O5 council is multi-leveled and depends on the specific O5 Council member. They do have shared responsibilities but each O5 has their own assignment and duties they work on. The primary goal of the O5 council is to be the governing body of the foundation. That includes overseeing any high-level decisions which include SCP containment strategies. They also oversee research. The O5 council also is in charge of overseeing any high-risk anomalies and containment protocols. The O5 council also provides direction to Site Administration, Department heads, and Ethics to ensure that the site is running optimally. The council also handles political, ethical, or inter-departmental conflicts. They also act as a final decision maker body during crises and any large-scale breaches/events. This also includes during any potential code-black situations. Their goal is to lead the foundation.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
Review Department head, Site Admin, Overseer Assistants, and other specialty role applications.
Review demotion appeals that may come their way.
Update any outdated documentation that may come from decisions made.
Work with departments and gamemasters to provide high-quality RP scenarios on the server.
Please give some lore about your O5 character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Since he was a child, ████████████ had the habit of remembering every single detail. He would call out things that his parents said wrong. He noticed patterns and details in the world around him. He noticed every moment of every leaf around him, every breath someone took who was in his presence, every shift in something he could not describe. As he grew up, 'The Archivist' started realizing a lot more of the shifts. He didn’t know it at the time but he was noticing shifts in our reality that are not noticeable by anyone else. Things that people cannot describe and he could not either with the basic knowledge he had. He still notated them down in his head.
One day, he noticed something rather odd. A book sitting in the middle of the hallway at his college. Other classmates would go to pick it up, open it, and just put it down for no reason, and act a bit confused before walking away. He was interested. He kept an eye on the book for a while. He felt something was off about that book. A feeling he kept having like the book had some sort of abilities. Abilities to wipe people’s memories. This was the first time that ████████████ ever came across an antimeme without knowing it. What he didn’t know at the time was that this was a test by someone who recognized his abilities. ████████████ sprung into action and waited for the opportunity to try to push it into a closet. Once in the closet, he made sure no one got in until the hallway was empty and started making his way to the front office to notify the staff. The staff didn’t believe him and when he went back, the book was gone. Suddenly he was approached by multiple individuals (foundation staff) and taken to a location he had never seen in the past. They started questioning him about the book and if he put the book there. He was unsure at first what they were doing but eventually they tried to let him go and they gave him some drugs to try to make him forget what he saw. He was confused because he could not feel anything different. The individuals were also confused because he was just sitting there. They asked him again if he remembers what happened and he gave an exact account of the whole situation from start to finish. They were shocked and confused. All of a sudden, one of the individuals went out in a hurry like he got a call. He came back and said “you are coming with us” and blinded him and carried him out. After what felt like 6 hours of travel for ████████████ since he noticed all the details. He was immune to the amnestic that the individuals have given him. When the blindfold was removed, a large and mysterious man stood in front of him. He introduced himself as a figment of his imagination and grabbed ████████████ by the shoulder. 'The Archivist' felt a huge surge of information and knowledge streaming to his head. It was so much that he blacked out. When he woke up, ████████████ was surrounded by more mysterious people but this time he knew who they were. It was the O5 Council. They were there to welcome him as the new O5-4. “Welcome O5-4,” the rest of the individuals in the room said. “You have a lot of work to do today sir. Would you like to begin?” one of the individuals commented. 'The Archivist' stood up from the chair he was placed on and said “where were we gentlemen” as he proceeded to continue his work like he already knew where he was.
You see the last O5-4 was at the end of his journey and decided to find a successor. Only one O5-4 successor can exist in each reality the O5-4 is in. He is able to hand down his knowledge at the right time if he desires and he has been searching for years. The issue with having a lot of knowledge is having all the past eating at you. Knowing all the bad. O5-4 was strong but his mind was made up. Once he got a hint from his staff that his successor was found, he was not able to approach them but he was able to test their abilities from a distance until they had developed. The knowledge transfer is a huge burden on the brain and can only be initiated when the brain is fully developed.
“The Archivist” is a living archive of the foundation. Not metaphorically but literally. He has memory of every erased incident, every purge, every timeline collapse, every site coverup big or small, every replacement of other O5 members, every anomaly that was “never discovered” and every version of the foundation that no longer exists.
If the foundation has forgotten about it, The Archivist remembers it.
The Archivist has special abilities that allow him to retain all information through multiple timelines that he has survived through.
The Archivist recognizes any changes in the current timeline. He has the ability to notice everything. With his ability to notice changes and compare the changes to the vast memory he has, he is capable of dealing with Antimemes and any memory-altering SCP. His brain has evolved (or altered) over time to resist any memory altering abilities from anomalies. This makes him a valuable resource for the Antimemetics Division.
Speaking about the Antimeme department, 'The Archivist' has saved the department multiple times from turning against each other. He was so tired of dealing with the issues that come up that he worked tirelessly day and night to come up with medication that acted as a counter for the effects but only if taken regularly. Over the decades, 'The Archivist' has perfected that medication to be a daily use medicine. The medicine is only given to the antimemetics division due to its powerful effects. For everyone else, the medicine does not exist.
Thank you for your consideration.
