For how long have you played on CG SCP? Approximately six months, possibly longer. In-game, over twenty hours in the past week.
Age: Twenty-one years old.
In what country are you located? I live in the United States of America.
Time zone: Pacific Standard Zone (PST).
Character name(s): Tyler 'Turtles' Dorkin for SCP foundation and Tyler 'Turtle' Dorkin for CI.
Civilian name: Tyler 'Turtles' Dorkins
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): I am applying for only the SCP-RP USA server.
Do you have a mic? Yes, I do.
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: All given positions I have ever held were CI Alpha, CI Beta, CI Strike Team, and CI Medic.
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why? I have received two bans in the past. One ban when I was new on the server, I left to avoid roleplay while being arrested by several MTF members. The second ban for was given for FailRP after I disguised as one staff member inside a sit room after given a verbal warning by a second staff member in the same sit room.
I have received four FailRP warnings and one RDM warning. I do not recall the RDM warning nor two of the FailRP warnings. However, I do recall that one of the FailRP warnings was due to mass credit giving as a Junior Researcher in which I was told after that by a staff member that it is considered a form of XP farming which is exploitative. The other FailRP warning I recall is when I was letting D-Class in the GenSec area as a chef.
I do understand the punishments I have received and regret making these mistakes as it caused troubles and negativity from/to other players who were not expecting as such during their roleplay experience. Both the staff and players on this server are usually very understanding as well as forgiving so the punishments I have received I deem as more than appropriate.
What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant? I am capable of being highly active typically daily for 3+hours. I really enjoy embracing new rp experiences whether it involves tribunals, SCP's, fellow members of similar positions, and/or other departments. This server still to this day surprises me with lack of boredom and lack of mental fatigue. I very much like to create beautiful documents which is partially why I love being a "Researcher main", but also the art you can make of a document to where it shows creativity of real-world physics and chemistry applied into this SCP server.
I love creating new RP situations for both I and others to partake in. So, to manage, spectate, and handle rp situations that involve research, documentation, and/or even moments of emergency would be a blessing that I see as opportunities to really put forth an act of effort and support. I know very well through my former CI positions of the professionalism it is required of one in both TeamSpeak and in-game. Being someone who has both roleplayed serious situation in a serious manner and in a joyful manner, I understand the needs and expectations that are set for someone of any assistant position let alone an overseer one.
Finally, having played several times as a Researcher Assistant as a D-Class gave me a small glimpse of what the tasks, assignments, and responsibilities of an overseer assistant would need to partake in.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP? Overseer assistants must be fully capable of working with the Overseer Council and assisting at continuously keeping the Code of Conduct enforced. One must be fully willing to observe ISD members, observe authorized research tests, and signing any documentation that is required of them whether it be medical, work permits for D-Class, and/or research studies.
Along with those duties, keeping an active eye on communications, dealing with investigations both active and passive that involve with the Code of Conduct, reenforcing members of E-11 to have at least one individual kept posted at all times at both primary and secondary HCZ entrances, reenforcing at least one MTF member to stay posted at the checkpoint prior to escalators, as well as authorizations for both advance armory and KOS past airlock. On top of that, to spectate over both Alpha-1 and Overseers so if one may choose to apply for an open Overseer position, they would have a greater understanding of the role itself.
Finally, one must be both capable of supporting and reenforcing enjoyable roleplay experiences that both themselves and others may partake in which includes not only being active on site often, but also includes needing creativity with open-mindedness to allow players to have positive experiences on this server so more others would like to possibly become an overseer assistant too.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in: The former known Senior Researcher Tyler Dorkin, Turtles, is merely the identity of a man who was lost in time wondering 'Where is my mind?". After one of the tragic accidents that occurred on November 8th of 2024 involving one of the dormitories in the researcher wing of the facility being completely wrecked from a major explosion, Tyler had no place to go that very night. Tyler had previously over the past several months spoken to multiple Site Inspectors and Site Inspector Assistants including one who is rumored to now have been replaced after retirement.
Tyler in more recent times prior to the tragedy become very fond of one Site Inspector who he met on November 8th seeking for a document approval. While on floor 3 in front of the door to the Site Inspector's office they both accidentally looked at 096's picture which was somehow placed within his office, visible through the front door window. Immediately, the Site Inspector informed Tyler to "look away" as he were to double check to ensure what they believed they both just saw was reality and as a matter of fact it was. Unfortunately, Tyler started hearing 096 and informed the Site Inspector to which he was told "leave floor 3". Tyler quickly dropped his briefcase with the document to him and started running to the elevator and ran immediately to Personnel Wing as the Site Inspector fled to 914 through the quarantine door. Unfortunately, 096 caught Tyler while on the bridge. Tyler escaped the grip of his boney white lengthy hands/fingers to jump off the bridge and landed on the roof of a white van below. The Site Inspector managed to kill 096 by closing the bulkhead doors to 914 right as 096 was entering, leading to his grueling crushing death. Tyler lived thankfully through the help of the medical department.
Later that night, the explosives that took away his bed and nearly completed belongings inspired him to revisit the Site Inspector to eventually ask of him if he may spend the night. Tyler did not have the courage to ask such a simple yet obvious question that the Site Inspector knew he would eventually have to ask. So, after getting drunk together in floor3 while Alpha-1's celebrate another night of foundation being saved by all of MTF via partying, the Site Inspector told Tyler to just ask it already like a man. He said yes and that was the start of Tyler's new beginning. Tyler's entire false identity he was raised to believe was him was now gone as a memory to human evolution.
Tyler started working for the Site Inspectors as "Mr. Durden", handling a significant amount of their dirty work as the now known Overseers saw Mr. Durden's love for knowledge through his years of researching for the sake of understanding SCP's rather than sampling known tissues and bloods. Seeing this inspired them to improve the facility such as replacing the current Alpha and Omega warheads with a singular one that operates as both. Fueling the new warhead with red mercury which to the Ethic's Commitee is unknown as a real substance, thus undetectable to their equipment and the equipment of both the UNGOC and CI. Transport of this new warhead from the bridge of personnel wing to a more hidden location was done so no clearance level 1-3 site personnel would know of its existence.
Mr. Durden started several campaigns and programs to bring fellow members of Site 65 more together as a community with a sense of a familyhood, rather than just coworkers. Some of these campaigns allowed departments to coexist better in unity with even having combined training activities occur for better emergency preparations. The position Mr. Durden held as an Overseer Assistance allowed him to voice his ideas to the very ones who oversee entire departments of the facility who went from backstabbing one another to trusting each other.
Like an owl, Mr. Durden was always watching and listening on the little things that the Overseers either couldn't get to or was not high on their importance list. Through this overwatching, Mr. Durden noticed certain tendencies of individuals and started to create a long list of names with possible habits, likes, dislikes, and other qualities of them. Through this, possible fakes could be recognized much quicker so no similar "05-14" incidents may ever occur again. Mr. Durden later got permission to have Site Administration fund the installing of new cameras with new camera rooms with a computer system that has facial recognition software. Mr. Durden later had been approved to authorize technicians and engineers to equip certain zones and checkpoints with manually controlled highly pressurized steam nozzles as a means of defense from SCP breaches and to keep certain points in a lockdown state inaccessible during raids/riots.
Finally, Mr. Durden encouraged the Overseers to increase confidentiality of themselves via installments of equipment used as a new set standard. Some of the equipment would include fingerprint removers, cloning of Overseer's to use as body doubles in case of death of an Overseer or sentencing from tribunal to serve the term for them, equipment to create compounds that alter the two myostatin controlling genes in humans for Alpha-1's to have a significant increase in absolute strength/power/speed, and microchip installments into all site personnel to have both a identifier after deaths similar to dog-tags and as a locator for wanted/missing personnel. Last but not least, a program to promote individuals of the foundation to work with more passion, work productivity, and general positivity by taking them outback behind the convenient store on the surface with some Alpha-1's where Mr. Durden points a loaded Smith & Wesson 4506 to the back of their head's after firing it in the air to awaken them from their meaningless 9 to 5 jobs into the life they always wanted to live. No longer living as a mere GenSec Guard, rather a E-11. No longer living as a janitor, now living as a Site Manager. Those who cling onto life loose it and those who give up their lives for a greater purpose will find true life. Mr. Durden recognized in himself that he felt most alive when he was the closest to death on November 8th, 2024. Now, he chooses to resurrect others who are drifters lost in time with insomnia wondering too "Where is my mind?", just as Tyler Dorkin wondered to himself on November 8th.
Thank You for Reading,
-Mr. Durden
