Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I aim to provide the department and server with more significant opportunities for meaningful role-play by contributing to the approval and execution of the various tests and projects I often hear about. Just recently, I was spitballing and bouncing off ideas with director Barry about ways to improve research with the limited power we possess. Although I may not have too many ideas, I will be a contributing member to the continued evolution of our department. I plan on offering researchers in our department thoughtful and constructive input, good counsel, and support in their endeavors if accepted. I will continue to be a good member of the research department by not only being an excellent example of research but also a comedic and friendly release from the lives we all live day to day.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I'll be frank: I recognize that there may be candidates who are more experienced or skilled than I am. However, leadership isn't just about expertise or how many words you can fit on a page. But it's about character, commitment, and the ability to inspire others to play and enjoy. I may still need to learn the ins and outs of this server, but I am confident I can bring some fresh points of view and a new breath into the research department. What sets me apart, in particular, is my natural ability to lead with empathy and integrity. I strive to be dependable and approachable, ensuring every player feels supported, valued, and encouraged.
This is also compounded by my personal experience in leadership inside GMOD and outside in the real world. I have presided over departments, servers, and fraternities, where I still choose to be a good, honest, and just leader. Bringing to those people the same aid and counsel they bring to me. How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I am currently in possession of three excellent graded documents, and one tribunal record written. They are as follows;
- SCP 939 - Communicative Study
- SCP 076 - Psychological Report
- SCP 073 - Psychological Report
More recently, I have been told that I need to stop writing like a man possessed, with each document being about 15 pages long. However, I am a madman possessed, but that does not mean I hold people to the same standard. An excellent document has to have a straightforward thing in my eyes: passion. If you are passionate about your storytelling about what you write, it is reflected in the work you produce. Now, there are many other criteria that make good work excellent, such as good spelling, proper grammar, attention to detail, and reporting the facts even if they are against your original hypothesis, but passion is what is needed to take everything to the next level. We are here to write stories, and that means hey, if you want to see what would happen if we gave SCP-682 some rubber duckies and monitored his aggravation levels, by all means, go ahead, just as long as you accurately report the facts. As long as you enjoy writing and making it look good, I'm all for it.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Executive researchers are responsible for ensuring that quality and ethical tests are being done to ensure that the anomalies we contain will be secured and that the citizens we die in the dark for may be protected from the shadows. We are also to make sure that researchers observe and update containment procedures for the safety of personnel and that no inaccuracy is found in their documentation.
