What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why: Member. I am absolutely in love with Ethics, I've never encountered an in-character driving force for conscientious behavior on a site before. A couple people that I learn from have advised I apply.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?: You will be hard-pressed to find a time when I let my character drop. I take my role as Ethics Assistant extremely seriously, so much so that I seek to inspire others to maintain a professional decorum while on Ethics jobs. I am passionate about what we do to the point of fervor. I always share the CoE, CoC, Research Protocol and GenSec manual to anyone that I see breaking our codes or those that are new. I invest in the community to reinforce the image of Ethics and the site as a whole. I never detain or arrest someone without explaining the documents and rules, sharing each link and pointing out the sections that have to do with their infractions. I show compassion and caring for each individual person that I reprimand or educate because I believe we should all have kindness shown to us when we are at our most vulnerable- a trait that fosters retention. If you show a low-level troll genuine human decency and patience, they are very likely to reform their behaviors and stay a while to investigate the site. I am here to help the site in every way possible while maintaining a sterling image for all of us.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?: Enforce and modify Ethical policy. Approve or deny testing on certain very-dangerous SCPs. Approve or deny requests requiring certain ranks to authorize.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in: Mr. Z never craved power, positions of authority or to even leave his home country. Mr. Z was raised by his strict and wicked grandmother in a swamp. Mr. Z grew up being bullied by his peers and being wrongly mistreated by his teachers and administrators. Mr. Z was raised by his strict and wicked grandmother in a swamp. Mr. Z has a very long memory and thinks of these times often, never having forgotten the slights and jabs. Mr. Z set out to be different, to hold his moral fiber even when no one is looking because he is his harshest critic. Mr. Z chose to embody the virtues he saw lacking in the world, to be a person that rose to the adversity he had been dealt and use his ire to maintain an ethical backbone even when his ire arises. After a brief stint in the armed forces, Mr. Z returned to the swamp to face his nightmarish grandmother as an adult. The horrible stay was cut short as The Foundation descended upon his childhood home to claim several anomalies and kidnapped him due to his proximity. After being analyzed and found safe, he was administered amnestics and became a Class-D. After proving himself wily and trustworthy, his exposure to these objects throughout his childhood caught the interest of the Research Department and he was given a chance to become a Junior Researcher. He jumped at this opportunity and, after more amnestics, relished his tests on the strangely-familiar inanimate objects. After a brief period, he had learned all he could of these compelling anomalies and requested a transfer to GenSec due to his military background and his desire to minimize loss of life. While out escorting, he approached a previous Ethics Chairman and said "I admire your group immensely." He was given the chance to guard the men he admired as an O-1. His world got a lot bigger with the new clearance, his genuine love for The Foundation grew deep roots as he understood more of the scope of what is at risk, the terrors of the anomalies and the danger that the human race faces. Guarding Ethics members and upholding ethical standards proved both natural and therapeutic for him, leading him to become an Ethics Assistant. Eventually, with an unwavering adherence to the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and all other Foundation documents, word of his character spread and he chose to broach the topic of Ethics Committee Member. In his eyes, the human race he was accustomed to would abuse the SCPs and Class-D. He hopes to provide a rock-solid ethical standard for all personnel so that we may all still be worth saving at the end of this.
