Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?

To be honest, I’m applying because I love the Medical Department and all the people in it. I’ve shared a lot of good times, hearty laughs, and amazing RP in my career within the department.
I joined the medical department as a Sr. Dr. from the start due to my support levels from my role in the ISD. As I started taking care of people and interacting with personnel around the site, I immediately fell in love with the position.
From here, I eventually started diving into the surgical aspects of the department. Due to my previous medical knowledge I have IRL, I found it easy to provide interesting roleplay to those in my care. One day, I ended up doing a surgery on the Director of Medicine. (I was so new I didn’t even know who that really was. I was clueless). I ended up providing excellent care for them and to my surprise they extended the opportunity for me to become a consultant.
After I became a consultant, I got to see how in-depth the department really is and how influential medical is to RP as a whole. Medbay has grown so much in the time from when I started until now, and I want to be the one to help it reach even higher heights.
I yearn for the opportunity to be a support system for my fellow doctors and provide them duties, tasks, and roleplay as their leadership. The medical department can be an amazing boon to the health of the server (no pun intended). I wish to pursue this as a personal goal of mine, as well as create and share more memorable times with those around me.

What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:

I am well familiarized with handling a leadership position within Site-65. As a Senior Consultant, I provided guidance and support for my peers and patients numerous times. I assisted doctors in their practice, steering them in the right direction while also promoting critical thinking and teaching them new ways to practice medicine. I have assisted my fellow consultants in documentation, personnel discipline, leadership responsibilities, workload management, project creation and general practice of medicine. I also have experience with operating on my own within the department, showing leadership capabilities when no other resource is around.

In addition to this, I also hold the role of trusted Overseer Assistant. I am well versed in the site’s legal and ethical codes, as well as have experience in providing guidance, orders, and information appropriate for the scenario at hand.

Between these two roles, I have grown relations with departments foundation-wide, collaborating in projects, research, and RP. I have shown willingness and capability to promote healthy server growth through interesting RP and events, as well as managing my own projects, assisting with others and their projects, and interacting with personnel to hopefully encourage projects.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:

  • The Director of Medicine is the lead facing leadership within the medical department. Their duties are to:
    • Create and manage projects for their consultants/Doctors,
    • Assist with inter/extra departmental relations
    • Collaborate with other departments regarding projects and roleplay
    • Assist medical staff in their duties
    • Be a helpful resource and leader to those around them
    • Provide just and fair disciplinary action when needed
    • Attend CL4+ meetings to communicate to site leadership on department status and progress
    • Accept/Reject Consultant applications as well as scout/onboard new ones.

Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:

- My initial lore before my attempts to get them approved, was that I am an ex-intelligence agent surgeon responsible for keeping POIs and extremests alive from trauma after "interrogation" and later scouted by a DEA operative and brought to site 65 as a consultant. The new lore intertwines this, (but is not approved yet. working on it haha) linked below.
