What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why: -
I am applying for the position of Ethics Committee Member. I have been an ECA for the past month with the goal of eventually becoming an ECM, and during that time I have realized how much I enjoy being involved in RP and helping create RP for others. I have always preferred being directly involved with the site rather than working entirely behind the scenes, and I believe ECM would give me the ability to do that on a much bigger scale. I also believe the position would allow me to help departments progress their RP without unnecessary delays while also creating larger storylines and scenarios involving multiple departments.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?: -
I believe I would make a strong candidate for the Ethics Committee due to my experience as an Ethics Committee Assistant and my other positions within the site. These roles have taught me how to work with differen departments and understand how important the Committee's decisions are to the site. During my time as an ECA, I have focused on creating roleplay, involving myself in meaningful storylines regarding Armando, and helping my fellow ECAs whenever possible. My experience in ISD has helped me understand how the site functions, as well as the CoE and FLC, while my time in O-1 has given me insight into how the Committee thinks and makes decisions. These experiences have given me a better understanding of what departments need from the Committee and how important it is for the Committee to remain accessible and willing to help. I also have a strong interest in creating RP and giving others opportunities to develop their own stories. I believe this combination of experience, communication, and passion for RP would make me a strong fit for the Committee.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?: -
-Assist ISD/O1 Giving them Investigations
-Changing/Enforcing/Dealing/with the CoE and FLC
-Giving orders to The Omegas & ECA
-Doing tribunals/legal work
-Handling emergency situations (calling ERT/code blacks/etc)
-Approving or Denying any proposals that departments have
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?): -
-Accepting/Denying ECA Applications
-Voting for new Director's of ISD/O1 Commander
-Dealing with appeals
-Making RP
-Working alongside with Directors
