ETHICS ASSISTANT APPLICATION

What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:

I believe I am a strong candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant due to my experience with D-Class, GENSEC and MTF roles, as well as my understanding of how the Code of Ethics is applied during regular operations. I have experienced a wide range of experience interaction with Security, D - Class and civilians, which has given me a grounded understanding of how ethical standards are enforced in real scenarios like how to deal with a civilian enters the site from vents or when D - Class get left behind during a breach and get terminated for "attempted escape."

Through these roles and experiences I had, I have developed an awareness of how decisions made by personnel can directly affect both individuals roleplay experience. I have observed how people in power can easily treat others without respect which can result in a miserable roleplay experience to those affected. Which has strengthened my interest in being the voice for those who were unjustly affected by such situations.

As this would be my first CL4 position, I hope to take be able to take on this role so that I can actively contribute to the roleplay experience of others as well as to further my own development as a CL4 staff.

What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:

- Assisting with duties and assignments given from the Ethics Committee.
- Acting as a intermediary between Foundation personnel, D-Class and the Ethics Committee.
- Assisting with investigations of ethical concerns and COE violations.
- Monitoring the site and reporting any ethical concerns to the Ethics Committee
- Issuing D - Class work permits when needed.
- Assisting with documents and admin duties when needed.
- Supporting site operations during emergencies.
- Helping to maintain ethical standards throughout the Foundation.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Ayaa began his Foundation career within the Security Department, where he spent much of his time interacting with Researchers, Medical staff, Mobile Task Force operatives, and D - Class personnel through his daily duties. During this time, he frequently escorted D - Class to research experiments, responded to various code 1's, 2's, 5's, and witnessed the consequences of decisions made by individuals far above his clearance level. While he understood that the Foundation often required difficult choices to be made.

Seeking to contribute further to site security, Ayaa later transferred into AMTF Nu-7. While serving in Nu-7, he has observed situations where personnel were forced to make quick decisions under pressure, whether terminating D - Class that got in the way during a CI raid or civilians who had unfortunately got caught up on a surface breach. While he understood the importance of maintaining the sites security, these experiences helped reinforced his belief that security concerns and humane treatment were not mutually exclusive.

Over time, Ayaa's experiences across their career as Security and Nu-7 has led him to take an interest in the work performed by the Ethics Committee. Having witnessed Foundation operations from multiple perspectives and seeing how Ethics step in to protect and provide aid to those who were vulnerable, Ayaa slowly became interested in how they too could better protect the site in such ways.

As an Ethics Committee Assistant, Ayaa would be focused on assisting Committee Members with investigations, gathering information, communicating with departments, and helping ensure that concerns brought to the Ethics Committee are properly addressed. His storyline would revolve around incident reviews, personnel concerns, D - Class treatment, and assisting the Committee in understanding how Foundation policies affect personnel throughout the site. Through his various experiences across multiple areas of the Foundation, he hopes to serve as a reliable extension of the Committee and help facilitate meaningful roleplay between Ethics and the Foundation.
