Application Questions
What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:I believe my previous experience with the servers UNGOC as a Major, as well as my unique time-zone, allows for me to assist in building the continued presence and RP of the UNGOC, especially at times most won't be able to be on. As well as with previous experience, my current work within the Research Department for my Foundation character, means that I am able to bring over a research heavy RP towards a faction that most forget, did also research the anomalies before attempting to destroy them.
Those reasons, along with many others, I believe myself a great addition to the new structured UNGOC, to bring about more RP and presence to a group that many tend to forget, is around.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
I wish to rejoin the GOC to assist in bringing back its presence to a server that during non-peak times, people forget is around. The RP opportunities that the UNGOC has as another power in the area I believe is the most interesting part however, as while they can be combative, they also can work with all factions in the political roleplay of the area.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
The Global Occult Coalition was formed following the Seventh Occult War (World War 2), as the Allied Occult Initiative. Their formation was a counter to the Nazi Occult programs created, and continued on with the realization that the 'New World' formed after would require a formal organization to combat anomalous activities.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
Physics -
The military arm of the UNGOC, similar in style to the MTF Units. The Physics division is focused on the observation, capture and destruction of anomalies. They're split into the Assessment for observation tasks, and Strike Team for assault tasks.
What are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
The GOC's goals are the five folds, matching the five points of their pentagram logo. The following is their five goals;
1. Survival - Protect the human race at all costs from anomalous entities. It is the most important of all the goals.
2. Concealment - To keep the knowledge of anomalies and the unknown from the publics eye to avoid panic and maintain the status quo
3. Protection - Protection of the individual whenever possible, unless it goes against the previous two goals
4. Destruction - The destruction of paranormal and anomalous entities, to maintain the survival of the human race
5. Education - Making sure to expand the GOC's knowledge of different paranormal threats and to study them, as long as it doesn't go against the previous four goals.
Those five points are the goals of the GOC and describe why the organization does what it needs to.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
The GOC and its mix of humanitarian sides with its hatred and wanting for destruction of anomalies, makes it an interesting faction to myself. They have a diplomatic side as well as a militaristic one, which makes them, in my view, more interesting than a faction like the CI compared to the Foundation.
